Metro Alert

Metro Alert is intended primarily for use by emergency first responders, but also may be utilized by those throughout the country as a reference tool.

Metro Alert links the emergency first responder directly with the receiving organization's communication center. The GPS function instantly alerts the communication center of your location while we verify aircraft availability and ETA. This speeds response times and places the flight crew on standby at no cost to your patient. You still must go through your normal request channels to launch the helicopter.

Metro Alert also provides additional functions and important reference information for medical and trauma emergencies including:

* Send EKG, wound, accident scene photos
* Send HIPAA compliant social media photos
* Access education references and courses
* EMS pocket reference
* Contact information and more

Although all public safety providers may utilize Metro Alert, registration is required for full activation and functionality. Registration is free.

Designed for all public safety personnel, this application was designed and tested in collaboration with emergency first responders.

The app has many flaws in Android version. The app will crash when attempting to use the HIPPA compliant camera inside the app. The app will not send notification of new messages. In order to see new messages, you need to have the messages screen open. This is different from the apple version.

We are using this app on a trial base for Medflight of Ohio right now at our department. On my phone it won't let me request anything, most of the pages are just a blank white page. It just keeps saying wait for your account to be activated. The issue is that my account was activated, at least that's what the email I received said. The idea of the app seems like a good one. But, until this app gets better, I'll still use the old way of going through the 911 center to request a helicopter.

I installed this app a while back and the menu features actually worked, unlike it does now. Many menu pages are blank and there's no support explaining what each of the features do

Works great on my partner's phone. We've had 2 successful times contacting MedFlight of Ohio and texting with dispatchers exchanging information. He has an iPhone (some version not the 6..) and I have a Samsung s5. Could this be why I can't even register, therefore I can't use the app for contacting MedFlight? Help or answers greatly appreciated. When we have a need for this app and use it, it's great....

As a FF, EMT I thought would download this and see if it was something that would come in handy for work. Problem is, I can't even download it.
