Despite reporting problems with my debit card not being usable ("oops something has gone wrong" error) a month ago and never hearing back and it still not working... I have been able to use a credit card and also link to my PayPal account as a roundabout way of using my debit card. So I am now up and running on the new app. Let's see how it goes, but I will echo other comments that say why try and fix something that wasn't broke...the old app worked just fine!
This app has improved dramatically. Still not perfect, but much much better. I started using it because the app I had been using wasn't updated during the recent lockdown. This has been, and I have played with it and started to appreciate the features. Will not be uninstalling it so long as it stays this good, or better!
The app keeps rejecting my bank card, this is second time this has happened in two months. Update 27.12.19 it gets worse, the app crashed as I tried to pay for a 4 week ticket. I have no idea if I have paid or not, since the app keeps crashing. Metro Bus, get this fixed!!!! I have tried to reinstall and still doesn't work??? Go Ahead bus company, Respond and solutions ASAP!
Since the app update on 3 July the scanners on the bus no longer read the qr code on my phone and I get a loud fail noise every time to much embarrassment. This has been raised with customer service who have been lovely but unable to resolve the issue. This is an Android 9 phone. Please reissue the previous version of the app.
There's a bug where there's an error when you try to buy a ticket, or trying to add a payment method even though you have in the past. If you have a ticket during that error, wait till its ended then reinstall the app and relogin, if you try to reinstall while you have an active ticket with the errors, then you log back in, the active ticket is gone, forcing you to buy another but the thing is is that your payment method is there again. Its a huge bug. Please fix.
Badly working application. Overcomplicated and hard to use. Crashing. You can't activate more than one ticket at the same time. In order to use this application traveling with my family I have to create 3 accounts, purchase 3 different tickets, activate them and make 3 screenshots. I can't begin to describe the level of idiocy of whoever designed this.
0 stars! The app is USELESS. It's not up to date, the bus times are always wrong and really for a travel app in 2020 it should be running a live system!!! I just enquired via FB messenger what happened with the missed bus today (again) for my son. To be told to ALWAYS use the printed timetables and NOT the app as this is just a guideline? How can the 'plan your journey' feature on the app just be a guideline so what is the point of having an app to plan at all if we are not meant to use it?!
Very disappointed with the app, on my way to work and i'm trying to buy a ticket and the app has been stuck on the processing payment screen for the last 20 minutes. I've cleared my basket a few times and tried to purchase a ticket and still the same. You guys really need to do something about this app.
Buses in Crawley run to their own schedule compared to the timetable. Either that or the app has the completely wrong timetable. It doesn't matter how early you arrive to the bus stop, if the bus arrives before you they don't wait until the scheduled time to depart, they're gone and you're stranded for another 10-15 minutes. I'll be investing the money I spent on an annual bus pass on a bike instead, it's more reliable and less stressful.
Very bad application. Not convenient to buy tickets. Don't understand the function of Browse Tickets. I only want buy the ticket. Please list the options and prices. Not everyone knows which zone to choose.
Oh dear . . . tut . . . has potential, but . . . I offer today as an example, by the time it had reloaded, I had missed the bus 😕 It is very slow due to being, over complicated and suffers from fainting fits. Mr Coder, the phrase "less is more" ring any bells?
Pointless app. Browser viewing gives accurate info whereas this does not. No point having an app that only allows tickets to be purchased on certain routes. Uninstalling.
Can't purchase the ticket. The ticket page does not open and is downloading with no success. There is a bug in app definetely. And this is not for the first time when it fails.
Installed this application today and had entered the debit card details while installing that app. I am not sure why I was charged 1 pound? If you could explain or refund the money it would be helpful. The look and feel of the application is better than the earlier version.
Cheers for the heads up that your app was changing. Was left pretty unsure what to do because old app is completely down but after some snopping I found you had launched a new app. This looks good and was easy to log into and set up a payment method so just to use tomorrow and see how it pans out but so far so good
This app is convenient for planning and purchasing tickets for bus journeys. It would be good if it was possible to refund a ticket prior to it being activated though.
First time using the app. Downloaded and tried to use the journey planner. When I try to change the departure time the app crashes completely to my phone home screen.
Cannot purchase tickets other than metrorider and metrovoyager. Would like to use this app to buy standard return ticket to Crawley but currently unable to do so. Good app but teething problems.
I'm trying to add payment method, but it is not possible. " We're sorry, something went wrong. Please contact our costumes service team". I have tried other cards and other phones, but it does not add...
I had to change my phone due to the previous one getting broken..and when I installed the app on the new and logged into my account didn't shown my ticket and it was a new one, I have to pay for another 65.75 pounds ticket this month. It is sincerely trashy.
Payment method glitched preventing me from buying anymore tickets. I had two 60 minute tickets and a duo ticket payed for. Was forced to reinstall the app but lost all my tickets. DO NOT INSTALL THIS TRASH.
App just gets stuck on "Trying to connect" with a notification at the bottom, saying it wasn't possible to connect to google play services.
Poor. constant issues with payment details, have to reinstall. New app no better, doesn't recognize password or email...how can so many mistakes be made for what should be a simple app????
Was fine until latest update, now no longer able to buy tickets or change payment card etc. I know this was brought out in a rush but still beta as far as I can see.
Much better than the original, but sometimes the QR code just completely vanishes for up to 5 minutes and won't reappear even after restarting the app. The drivers won't accept it if there's no QR even with the active countdown visible. Considering the whole system relies on the QR, that's kind of bad. That's why only 2 stars.
