This is old, but gold! And still! Undisputed (try it yourself first) any weight champion of the metronomes! Reality is, many classic songs (in any genre), actually, when measured, have tenths of BPM in tempo (e.g. 124.5) - and this app has that option! Thus, you can set tempo very natural, make it groove. And the sound is pleasant to ears, too. That's very important, when you actually use the app lots. Thank you, Keuwl!
Used to love it despite its unappealing design and obnoxious sub beats. Recommended it to all my students, too, because it used to be a simple metronome that did its job well and ad-free. Now it's running ads, which is completely distracting, looks unprofessional and tips the balance in its disfavour. A definite uninstall.
Very well implemented app. Features include "sub-beats" per note as well as accelerando (and ritardando, which I have used a few times). My clockwork metronome just sits collecting dust now. Great app.
A great and simple metronome, doesn't ask for permissions it doesn't need, overall good experience. The only thing that is a bit annoying is the sound of Sub Beats is very high pitched. I doubt anything will change about it since the latest update was in 2014.
It is a very helpful app. I want to report one little bug. Sometimes it starts the sound on the second beat and the first is silent. So, the entire measure and the next to come are altered. When I stop and start again, the problem gets solved.
This is exactly what I was looking for--a visual metronome with a ticking sound that doesnt get annoying. Very simple and straightforward. Kind of wish the icon had a light background to make it easier to see on my home screen, but that's super minor, and I wouldn't change a thing about the app itself.
Regarding ease of use and available options it's a perfect app even better than metronome apps scored above 4.7, however the only problem is as soon as your screen goes off the app shuts down!!! plz solve this problem in the next update so that I can both rate you 5 and also recommend you to dozens of others!!!
Nice metronom with lots of options and settings which could help and get you comfortable. The speed setting is nice and the hole app is fine. Very recommended.
Spectacular little thing. I've been in a search for a simple metronome for my student, and felt in love with this one "at a first beats". It has enough both for a beginner and advanced ones. And above all, it is very tastily designed.
easy to use sounds like a regular real metro .easy operation controls self explanotory ! tried a few others .most were to complicated and or no directions! i wanted a practical no frills time keeper and this was perfect! good job!
No requires permissions and that's perfect. I've seen others apps' permissions and they want to access network, photos and some other stuff, why? I have no answer. On the other hand there is this Lovely app which name describe what it is. Just that a metronome.
A great app that does NOT need to read your phone status and identity or run at startup. Some commenters complain that the app increases or decreases the tempo without noticing that their 'fat' fingers moved the 'accelerando/ritardando' knob. That sounds 'ritardando' ;-)
I've used this metronome app for 3+ years and I love it. It has subdivisions, tap the beat, and ritardando and accelerando features. I just wish it was a little bit louder, but that's mostly my phone.
I give 4 stars because, the app is very good, it really deserves its name, it has all the features for a proffessional metronome and a very good design. But sometimes it has bugs. And it will be better if could work on background
no longer keeps tempo - latest update added ads and it now double beats and the sound and sight features no longer sync. Used this app for many years and it worked wonderfully. NOT ANY MORE.
I went through four or five metronome apps today and this is the best of them, especially as a free app. Nice controls and I love the numeric beat count and sub-beat. No in app ads either. Runs on Kindle/Android.
Awesome app! Easy to use, Great sound and does its job quite well. The additional features like tap tempo, tempo change and accents are very helpful! My go to metronome app... 😊
One of the most versatile and practical version af a metronome App. This one gives a good simulation and several options that really makes it favourably easy and appropriate for a training program. Thanks a lot
as others have said, very disappointed ads were included after many years without. came here to see if there is a paid version.. and currently there doesn't seem to be. please consider adding a small paid version as this is not usable with flashing ads
Best apps. You can arrange the tempo, beat in bpm using italian term like adagio, allegro etc. The volume in apps. I appreciate it since they don't ask any permissions. Real apps don't take your private data, they provide what they said, that's all.
Small and simple but it only works as foreground app. No sound when looking at notes in browser. Would be useful if it works in the background.
Loved it. Only trouble is it's on my phone and notifications interrupt my practice time so, I bought a real metronome in order to practice with my phone turned off. This was a great app!
Exactly what I was looking for! A clean, simple metronome. Very user-friendly and easy to set the tempo. No ads or permissions. Totally satisfied.
No adds ?????? Can't even use the app without accepting adds and data to be stored on your device. !! Would be nice if I could even see the thing before a decide. Uninstaled. Think I'll go the old fashion route Nd buy a real one sick of being a pawn in this advertising machine.
This has been a brilliant app for years, however ads have now appeared at the bottom of the screen which flash and move which is really distracting. Please remove or is there a paid version? Thanks
Its a great app. The only downfall is its not easy to set an exact bpm. Developers it would be alot better to add up and down buttons to change the bpm.
Stops when screen is locked. Not sure if it is a bug or a feature. If it's a battery saving feature it's counter productive.
The only problem I am dealing with is that the app doesn't appear in any shortcut menu, I have to run it from the Play store's installed apps list. Perfect otherwise.
Really excellent. Simple, accurate, no ads. Best i have seen. Did have to uninstall and reinstall after an OS upate as that really upet it. Now back to excellent again.
For those of you wanting to practice your CPR chest compression tempo, this is perfect. You can type in the bpm you want (100-120) and even better, there is a tap beat option, where you can press this at a rhythm and it will show you the tempo you are going! Great practice! It also memorizes the last tempo you set in case of an emergency (not sure if it saves after restart).
