I like the app. I've had it for around a week now using it daily. The only thing, so far, that I wish was different is in the "speed" section which is where the speed steps up a number of clicks every specified number of measures. There's no "pause" option, which would be handy so you could restart where you left off. As it is now, when you hit stop it automatically resets to the beginning speed. Other than that it's a useful metronome with many great features.

Just downloaded this app, after the batteries ran out on my regular metronome, and I love it. It was really intuitive to use and, even though I'm not particularly tech savvy, I was straight into it. I do have a musical background, so understand the musical notation. However, I reckon a non music reader would get it just by listening and seeing how the beats fit with the patterns.

I downloaded this once before and got rid of it because I wasn't pleased with how it worked, exactly. But you've really improved this. There are a few optimizations and extra things that you might add to it, but this is pretty darn good. The Arrangements feature is fantastic for practising time signatue changes. Tempo changes (a la "Stairway") are a little more difficult to do in it, but completely possible. That covers a lot of territory in music practice, speaking as a classical guitarist.

I've tried a few metronome apps, and this was my favorite. I've been using it as I learn to play the drums. It has many different settings so that you can adjust it to whatever you need, easy to use, and it continues playing when you get out of the app which is great when I want to play along a song on Spotify/YouTube. Also like that the sounds aren't annoying, and you can even change the frequency for some.

I can't believe this app is free. You can create patterns and save them. You can accent whatever beat you want. Different sounds are available. You can have phone vibrate or flash red on beat one (or both). All this at no cost and no ads. After years of being away from music, I bought myself a bass. Using the step feature of this app makes practicing scales fun and way less tedious. Also improves my timing. Thank you so much to the developer of this app. This one stands above the rest.

A good metronome is a hard master; this is indeed a fairly good one. Pleased with the extra timing features (I'm used to an old-fashioned mechanical metronome), and relatively pleased with the ease with which it can be configured. It's well worth reviewing the settings on first use; not all the defaults suited me, for instance. Thanks are due to the developer for a response to an enquiry.

Great for practice in ways, but the longer I use it the worse it gets. The biggest problem is I will have it set for a BPM and it will go on perfectly for awhile before developing a hitch--a pause in the beat that throws me off rhythm. It's very distracting. Among other issues, when I have the visual count set with the one beat in red eventually the numbers fall behind the beat--they stop syncing. Again, this is distracting and counter to the purpose of a metronome.

Very good app for practicing various parts of timekeeping, I'll definitely be using it for a while. My only gripes are that if there is a setting to change the tuple on the accent menu of the beats view, I'm missing it. Personally, I haven't figured out the arrangement section but I'm not too worried about that. Lots of genuinely useful features packed into only 2 MB is a winner.

Horrible user interface! Particularly the speed selector with sliding control and the visual feedback on beats. Pity because it works in landscape mode, which is a plus. - Edit: thank you for the kind response. I think sliding controls are terrible to use because they require multiple interactions. Unless it's a circular movement so you only tap once, drag and then drop. Typing a number is also not ideal.

Great app for advanced or basic needs. 2 critiques: 1) making arrangements is tedious and was hard to figure out. You have to create a beat then go to the arrangements tab and import it. It should allow you to select everything you want from the arrangements tab as you arrange (# of measures and everything you can select on the home screen). 2) the wheels aren't good for scrolling tempos, either too fast or slow. Dials are better as you can see where to move your finger to for the desired tempo.

I've tried dozens of metronome apps and only this one has everything that I need. You can use it as a simple 4/4 metronome with or without accent (it is hilarious how difficult it is to find metronome app with such a basic function as switchable accent), or you can use it to make some really odd beats to practice the difficult parts that you're learning. And last but not least, I'm using it for more than a year and didn't noticed any beat lag. 5🌟

This is a great no nonsense metronome app. What it lacks in over-designed UI it more than makes up for in functionality. I've been searching for some time for a sequencable metronome that would help me practice pieces with changing time signatures and the arrangement tool fits this almost perfectly! There is a short learning curve: from what I can tell, the quarter note always gets the beat, and as there's no way to input time signatures you have to fiddle with subdivisions a little bit to to get the the metronome to click how you'd expect. I can't imagine if time signature input is a feature that could be suggested without changing drastically the interface flow. A higher level suggestion might also be lock screen functionality. Anyway great program!

Really something brilliant. This is all I've been looking for - the subdivisions, the fact that it does triplets and - didn't knew I needed it until I saw it - the uptempo function. And there is lots more, packed in an easy-to-use interface. Thanks for putting the effort into making something truely useful and well done. Ad free as well, I might just fork out for the supporters edition

Great app. Offers a wide variety of tools to make it your best practice app. All the tools are free. Only one thing that i didn't like was the absence of eighth note accents. This takes away the possibilty to work with 5/8 7/8 etc. rhythms and many common subdivision. In my opinion, these are much more esential than having the ability to add septuplet and quintuplet divisions. Please let me know if I missed a possible workaround to this problem. Anyway Good job to all the people who made the app!

Fantastic app. Just one minor issue: if I leave the app while it's playing, a notification is shown, it would be great if tapping the notification would take me back to the app. Otherwise, the features are great, and I especially love the tap button that let's me tap twice at the speed I want and it adjusts it accordingly.

This app is just perfect. True, it doesn't play on Bluetooth speakers. But all the other functionalities are just so nifty. You can put an accent wherever you want, make it skip cycles, change the time signature... literally whatever you could possibly want. Works very well for me.

Powerful metronome app with many options for backbeat and compound rhythms along with beats of differing strengths on different parts of the beat or measure. Some features felt a little non-intuitive to find in the menu, but once you get used to it, this is a very helpful and useful metronome app. The metronome sound can be adjusted and comes across well.

Bar. B. Jun 1, 2020

This is an excellent metronome app. It's not too complicated, but it has some nice features like the ability to save profiles (tempo, pattern and sounds) and to select different sounds for strong and weak beats. It's not as pretty as others that are made to look like clockwork metronomes, but it does its job really well.

Dan. B. Feb 5, 2021

Introduction to navigation could have been more explicit. Some of features still obscure as to what they are or our how to get to them. That may seem damning at first, but the program is so straight forward for simple tempo and so flexible as you get into it that it warrants a solid four stars.

Rob. G. Oct 30, 2021

I was looking for a metronome that also provides a count of measures, which this does. The feature would be better if you could specify a number of lead-in measures before it started counting, so that you weren't starting to play during the first or second counted measure. Also, specifying unusual times like 12/8 or 3/4 seems kind of cumbersome compared to other metronomes. I like the ability to specify different emphasis in 16th or 8th-triplet time, but would like to see more (7/8, etc.).

Great for practicing dance! I really like that it lets you emphasize certain notes in every bar. So for example my dance (West Coast Swing) has a rolling triple. 1--a2---1--a2. That fact that I can tell it to play the first "a" and not the second "a" is so amazingly helpful that I bought the 3 dollar "supporter" version even though its identical to the free one! The best by far and it looks great too!

Jac. F. Feb 18, 2020

Almost perfect. Only concern is that you cant control it on mobile or tablet through the pulldown screen when in another app. You have to get all the way back into the app. Other than that, all features are useful and work properly. Plenty of options and flexibility.

I've paid for 3 different metronome apps, and I would gladly spend the same amount of money on this app alone. It easily has the best interface I've tried yet for adjusting the metronome to have accented(Loud) notes where I want them. It's makes it simple to stay in time doing all kinds of awesome chugging on guitar. Finally, a metronome that makes it easy to dial in and play along with the crazy time signatures you get playing metal instead of just "Blip-blop-blop-blop"

Wow! WOW! Coolest damn metronome I've ever had! WOWWWW! I haven't explored the whole app yet, but just messed about w/ lead in counts which you can set. Set 2 bars & get a tone one the down beat for 2 bars & then just continue the regular clicks. A choice of instruments for your clicks! Lots of room to roam. BEST MONEY I'VE SPENT ON ANY APP!!! Very impressive! Thanks developer persons!! Ah, BTW, mandolin player. This is going to really help my practice & playing. Yesss! Deutsch, natürlich

The metronome part works well. Common timing and unusual timings too. The rhythm beats part is tough to figure out, but not too tough. Interesting. It has features I haven't even tried yet. It's a good little app. I prefer it over my hand held, stand alone, digital metronome.

Dha. H. Dec 11, 2019

Along with regular metronome features, I can play with accents and muted notes, making all kinds of interesting beats right off the bat, and saving them as well. Make sure "acceleration steps" are set to "off" or your tempo will change. Small learning curve, since complexity is available, but great app!

Mic. T. Aug 24, 2019

So good and I have tried alot of them only to get frustrated and then delete. But this one makes actual sense, the user interface is written by a person with a sense of knowing that not everyone sees a menu the same way as they do. So it makes sense for everybody. And it has some super great features as well as all the ones you would expect. Well done!!!

No ads!! That's the best part of this perfect app, apart from it's perfect function. Everything is perfect about it. I'm glad I found it. Now the loading of new ads won't disrupt the metronome's timing, which is the problem with most metronome apps.

Mat. S. E. Jul 22, 2020

Highly customizable metronome. You can cause it to speed up gradually, turn off randomly or every nth bar. Can turn off and on individual 16th, 8th, triplet etc. notes. There are also other settings that I do not have the time to describe. No ads user interface has a slight learning curve.
