MeTV

The main reason most people would consider downloading this app is so they can stream live MeTv to their device. Although it was possible to watch a live stream on my device, it was on an incredibly small aspect ratio. We are talking maybe an inch wide screen. There's absolutely no way to maximize it or make the screen larger. There are serious issues that should have been included before this app was available for download. For my use this app is not at all beneficial which makes me sad.

Unlike some people I think it's better to give feedback on what's not working so the Dev can fix it. Some of what I have seen is some shows keep buffering and never load. The ones that do load play fine. I get no problem with crashing. App loads and works well. Not every device can be supported out of the gate but good feedback helps the developers fix those bugs. Adding chromecast would be a real winner. Most people are not going to watch TV on a tablet or phone. Over all its a good start.

POS app. Don't waste your time. Just downloaded it to try it. It does nothing but spin. I have high speed internet and a Samsung Galaxy 9, so it's not my connection. Netflix works just fine on my phone. I had read the other reviews before trying this app, but alas every single negative review is true. This app is garbage. When I clicked on "shows" the app crashed. Deleting.

Very poorly written app - requires location permission to determine if the live stream is available, which is fine, but crashes on launch if you have location turned off and won't restart until you force stop it and turn on location services. Also, the volume of ads is ridiculously high. Would be a nice app, but as is, it's practically unusable.

Had nothing but issues with watching the shows live. It would play for 10-15 seconds and then buffer forever. Most of the time I would have to back out and come back in and it would do the same thing again. If you can get the app to play the shows live without so much buffering or any buffering the I would change my review, but until then it is worthless as an app.

Because I can no longer pick up the over the air broadcasts for some reason, I thought I would try the app to live stream Svengoolie. Then half way through the show last night, it stops playing and says I have hit my one hour limit. Plus there was quite a bit of buffering and a third of the screen is covered by the top tool bar. Guess I won't be watching ME TV in any form, which is a shame since I did enjoy it.

So frustrating. Tried doing a quiz, the app froze. Tried browsing the store, the app froze. It is simply not worth the aggravation. I can watch Netflix, YouTube, news stories, etc. with no issues whatsoever. Unless the developers take a hard look at this and fix it, don't waste your time.

Terrible app! It keeps shutting down when your phone back light goes off. Then it crashes. Go back in and the TV show titles change each time. No way to see the same program to finish the episode. Also the titles didn't match the episodes. You're better off watching on a browser.

This app would have 5 stars if they would only add a live stream to it. I know other sub-channels under it that provide said service on their apps. I live in an area where it's difficult to get the channel reception, and since Locast is gone, I'm at a loss. And I REFUSE to get cable and/or satellite! So please consider it in the future, and I just might change this review to 5 stars.

Doesn't seem to do anything at all beyond the METV website. No streaming. It did offer to send me reminders of my favorite shows; I signed up for a few, but got none. Perhaps just as well, because the schedule inexplicably got my time zone wrong. (Though I signed up with the right zip code and location is enabled on my phone.) A pointless app.

Would get 5 stars if you would 1) allow unlimited streaming on your app. If I'm not at home, I'm not able to "watch my local station" and even if I am home, for whatever reason, I still may not be able to watch the program on tv and 2) I travel a lot and sometimes while traveling I want to watch a program of yours (or 2 or 3) and I can't watch live programming on the app. Why?? This is very frustrating. please consider making these changes to your app.

It doesn't do anything but play clips from shows.MeTv needs a genuine Roku App to view actual programming when we are away from home, or what is more often the case, we cannot receive it due to a lousy OTA signal! I haven't been able to watch Svengoolie for 6 weeks now from any of 3 stations within scanning range of me, due to weather Comet and Charge have Roku apps. Do not want to use quasi-illegal apps like Mobdro due to spyware. Get with the PROGRAM MeTv and Get with Roku! Uninstalled!

CONSTANTLY freezes..and several shows are purposely blacked out early evening and late night/early morning. The shows run about 13 minutes later than the networks so when the app freezes for several minutes at the top of the hour you miss the ending while trying to restart the app several times. If you dont mind ALL that..it's fine.

Streaming MeTv live does not work. If that is by design, at least pop up a message giving the reason why instead of just spinning continuously. If it's not by design, then is there a fix that can be deployed? More information would go a long way instead of keeping us all guessing. Guessing only results in more 1 star ratings and bad publicity.

Keeps buffering, and I have a commercial high speed internet connection, then it stops, locks up and when you go out to restart, it restarts you with the SAME redundant commercial. So glad I got to watch the cruddy ESPN commercial a bunch of times just to watch a few seconds of an over aired has been rerun. They truly need to fix this app as their sponsors are getting the big one. Poor job MeTV

App keeps buffering and freezing on "Live TV", which defeats the main purpose of the app. As a recent cord cutter, I was hoping to be able to watch Svengoolie on the app, which is the only thing I watched on MeTV. My Internet connection is fine. I have no problems streaming Sling, Netflix, YouTube, Peacock or any of my other apps on my Samsung Galaxy phone or my Roku TV. Plain and simple, your app sucks, and Svengoolie has lost a viewer because of it. I'm not getting an antenna just for MeTV.

I love MeTV but hate this app. If you try to live stream, all you get is music playing while "we're on commercial break," but the commercial break never ends. On demand is slightly better in that the interviews and articles are good but the programs seem to always hit a snag. Don't waste your time.

App lets me start to watch Svengoolie live after watching a commercial. The show plays for a minute or less then the app says it's having problems. I have excellent bandwidth so I'm baffled. I've tried several times but no luck. Until the app is fixed I'll miss an episode every few weeks.

I don't understand the purpose of this app.When installed, it looks nothing like the image examples on its homepage. Basically it is a tv guide for that channel. I have metv on my basic cable, and I can get full eps of many old shows on You Tube that are not on any tv channel.

I love all things regarding this very nostalgic app... The thing i was disappointed in is that you dont have options to actually view from the app, all these great shows from my teen years! The quizzes, games, info. on shows history, etc. Is the best ever! Love MeTV

Five stars for antenna service. MeTV was prompt at returning antenna service after recent flooding at Willis tower. MeTV App gets zero stars. App might stream for 20 minutes or more, but generally doesn't work well at any time, no matter what you do. Even opening up memory space on my phone doesn't help. This isn't an expert opinion, but I think the MeTV App has too many features packed into one app, therefore it can't stream video without excess buffering. Thanks for your consideration.

YOU CANNOT CALL THIS AN APP! I have never been able to get the app to load to my Samsung Galaxy S9+. I open it and the icon twirls and twirls as if it's loading, and it never gets any further. REALLY frustrating! Other reviews note that there is ZERO STREAMING CAPABILITY. What's the point??? Don't bother downloading!!

app keeps crashing and freezing on my android so i uninstalled then reinstalled it hoping to solve the problems. also l am constantly getting metv logo played over and over again and at times it keeps buffering. when I turn it off. the same svene plays again and the buffering comes back. this aoo had a lit of time shows I like ti watch. to the developers oleadr fux issues or have a origram available so user can download it and fix issues.

Love love love the show. I've been waiting all my adulthood for this to be happening. But, when I want my kids to see it on the go(or myself). It's a bit complicated this app. See. The screens too tiny and kids loose their 😎. And back to YouTube... Help! And I just noticed it's not even any live shows. It's ONLY tv show Previews !😢

I had the station but my cable provider dropped it. I hoped was the apps I would be able to view the programs on my device but the only thing it was good for was to view some of the listings. Otherwise the app was useless to me! I would have rated zero stars but it wouldn't let me do that.

New format takes forever to load. I usually just want to check the schedule to see an episode title but now i have to wait several mins. Old format would load right away. update: new release also shows my local station as one i cant pick up. and i cannot force it to show the correct channel no matter what i put in settings.

It's a good app with interesting articles. I haven't watched anything on it yet. One improvement would be to adjust their guide so that program listings and descriptions for programs listed after midnight are still accessible after midnight local time.

Garbage. Impossible to link an existing account to the app. It asks if you want to do that but then does not provide an option to follow through with verification. Completely useless.

I'm disappointed, Its just not there yet. I downloaded for the streaming. You get a 1 inch x 2 inch video can't rotate locked in portrait orientation can't enlarge. Needs more work

This is hands down the worst working applocation Ive ever used, first of all you cant download it onto a computer secondly even with perfect signal a great connection and a good phone will this application still not work correctly. Ive been waiting years and years to watch svengoolie and its so terribly dissappointing to be stuck on a page repeatedly showing commercials endlessly if you are in your right mind do yourself a favor and stray away from this ignorant garbage of an application
