The app is billed as "undersharing" your personal info, but it gives out your phone number when you send money that isn't via the code thing (which is not well documented). The undersharing thing is a lie - PayPal gives out less person information with a standard transaction than mezu. In addition, whatever phone you sign up with is it - it cannot be changed. So, if you put your personal cell in to get the app in the first place, now you get to give that out whenever you pay. I'm cashing out.
I downloaded THIS app, even tho I have several others I love & use, at the request of my sister. None of the promos worked for me! After a few emails with customer service, I realized they weren't actually answering my concerns.🤷🏽♀️ I feel like it was several hours of wasted time with the initial set up. Then, a week of trying to get it to work. There are too many user friendly options for money transactions that NOTHING special stands out about this one. 💚🦋
I'll be honest here, this app and its functions, when working properly, are pretty cool. Easy to use & helpful. HOWEVER; the problem I have with Mezu is that they dont seem to have their stuff together just yet. I had to process a return on the Mezu card and it took WAAAY too long to get a resolution from their customer service team. They are responsive and eager to help, but, the amount of time it takes to get a refund is somewhat excruciating. Hopefully it gets better.
Says refer a friend and you both get $5 but in order to do that they first have to send $5 of their own money first. False advertisement for 1) and 2) they ask for too much personal information which other apps doesn't require such as SSN, photo of ID, address (which auto completes in which i find weird), etc. with no chance of deleting said information or deactivating the account if you have second thoughts about it or don't use it. Which is super sketchy.
This is the perfect app for sending money privately, I didn't even have to share any of my personal information! It's perfect for tipping strangers or sending money to friends just like if you were using cash. I've used other apps and they weren't as easy and simple to navigate.
I'm a first time user of this app. My friend reccomended it to transfer my money from a prepaid card to my bank. Well filling out all my info and loading my money onto the app was simple. Even let me hit the transfer option to send to my bank. BUT when I checked my bank 0$ of it had went. Went back to mezu and guess what, my account is gone and so is my money. Told me i wasnt verified. But they could sure take my money. Ive tried to contact them countless times. I am LIVID!! THIS APP IS FRAUD
Absolutely LOVEEE!! First app I have came across that is actually legit. I just signed up for this beginning of the week and already won $5 off of the mezu 4 digit number game, would highly recommend this app. Only thing I would recommend is giving us the option to have a card so we can keep the money on here instead of transferring it over to another account in order to use it. But other than that perfect app!

So far no good. It's all ready giving me trouble in just creating my virtual debit card and it won't seem to fix. I'm brand new at this app. I'm just trying to do something very simple. Don't invest any money our anything into this. It's unstable and doesn't fix easy at all. For it to mess up on something so simple tells me they released this app way too early because it's been out for awhile and it can't even create the online debit card. It keeps saying ooops our servers are down since yesterda
i never leave reviews fir apps ever. But i had to leave one because i am just that unsatisfied with this app. App is preventing me from using any of its functions because they have not gotten any photo identification. I have attempted to send countless times in different ways they wont accept it. After sending a message to customer care they tell me send pictures through the message. Days later no response and still unable to access my money. money is just stuck in account. very unsatisfied.
Mezu as the perfect app for sending money privately without sharing personal information. Its perfect for people with side hustles, like myself. I do tattoos on the side and my clients can pay me with no hassle, or without giving me their banking information. Its also perfect for sending money to friends just like if you were using cash. And you can also win cash on this app.
They closed my account for violation and wont explain what i did. Ive never misused the app, only referred and won. Contacted customer service and they wont give an explanation or even a point in a direction as to what went wrong. Literally just tells me to read the terms of agreement which i have a few time. I've used Mezu since it came out and referred TONS of people to the app. All my information was correct. Absolutely obnoxious.
been using this app fine for a few months, then i randomly kicks me out of my account and wont let me back in. support just sends a basic message with no information. horrible support that cant even provide an answer as to what happened. i would recommend finding another app like cash app that will be more reliable and has an actual support system in place if there is an issue with your money.
I used a friend's code so we could each get $5. I mean who doesn't like free money, right? I linked my card and made transaction. My friend used my referral code then did the same thing. I should have received a total of $10 in referral rewards and my friends should have each received $5. None of us have received a dime. Also Mezu money time NEVER works right. I often get a black screen or when I do get the numbers it says they're no good. If the issue isn't resolved I'll stick to Cashapp instead
If I can give 0 stars I totally would!!!!! I'm very disappointed in this app. I posted up to 25.00 all different transaction. Mezu just took the 25.00 it's like it never existed. They have no phone number to contact anyone! I am very stressed out. I have to now call my bank to try to get my money back. I verified my email address and my DL and I still lost my money.
Awful app! I upload a few times from a couple accounts and it shuts my account down, constantly. I have to appeal everytime to access my money which is held until the appeal gets sorted out. Oh, and the stupid game is just that. Be a payment app or GTFO. I miss circle pay!! I still have not got my money and it's been months! Hate it even more after the stupid response.
id give it 0 stars if i could. was a great app, mezu money time was fun. but all that came to an end for absolutely no reason. they deactivated my account and said i basically cant have one. didnt break any rules.... even lost money that was on the account because they wont reply to my emails. wasted so much time winning money on mezu moneytime. for them to badically tell me to kick rocks for no reason. really irks me. i could understand if i had broke a rule... whatever. but i didnt.
Received $1 with the mezu card play on IG is the only reason I gave 1 star. I setup and verified and can't even deposit the money in my account still saying need to verify after receiving I was cleared of this. I messaged customer service 2 days again and no response. Doesn't seem like I am going to like this app. I don't like things that have issues in the beginning. Haven't even given me a chance to use or check it out. Not impressed
I am glad that I found this app. Mezu has made money transfer so easy and convenient. with this app, I can transfer money just anytime and anywhere just so easily.. I love that all your personal information is safe and secured with the Mezu app. so, you can transfer money without worrying about sharing your personal information. just the best app for money transfer that I have used so far.
I love Mezu! just wish I could get more referrals and win more money!! Only other things I have complaints about is it has so many glitches, that when I start to play the live game, I dnt hardly get to play cause I keep having to go out and back in just to get it to work.
Terrible app! I tried twice to withdraw funds to my debit card via their instant funds option. Both hours later showed as processing. No details beyond that were provided. Worthless service. Take my advice and use Zelle, they at least get the job done. Only reason I tried these jokers was because of Zelle's no longer supporting online checking accounts. So ya, Mezu is totally worthless. good luck.
HORRIBLE! Account was closed with no explanation. I actually was on the app at the time and it suddenly went to a different screen and says I do not qualify. I had $3 on the account. Nothing major however, its my money not theirs. I would NEVER recommend tgis app to anyone. It doesnt even deserve the one star.
This is such a pain in the butt app. It took ten tries to have my id verified, you don't have a confirm or review page when requesting money so I ended up accidently sending a money request early to my employer who insisted on using this app. To top it off, the app won't let me connect my bank so I was forced to put in my card information which made me uncomfortable because it's not as safe as going through the bank and someone could steal my card information. It's been such a headache.
It glitched after I uploaded my Driver's license. First it approved it then immediately after approval it sent me a message saying not approved please try again. When I went back to where you uploaded it it said my ID was approved. So even if my accounts (3 different checking accounts I tried)had been verified(which for some reason they couldn't) it still wouldn't let me download the money I had waiting for bill payment. I tried to appeal and it's been almost 2 weeks since I've heard anything.
My card is continuously frozen without any reason why given. Getting a hold of customer support is a nightmare, and it usually takes them days on end to get back to me. My entire account is currently frozen, no one can tell me why, and I have $30 sitting on it. I'm not able to transfer to my bank account. This app is not even worth the headache.
Not certain yet whether or not I'm comfortable, satisfied, and content with the layout and motility of navigation through the app. I'll add more as I ease into it
Would have easily been 5 stars, but after the most recent update, me, my fiancé, her cousin, and her grandmother all had our accounts closed. I read online that it has happened to many others, and that new people are having trouble signing up. I decided to email support, and after a whole week and a half, finally got an email back saying that what happened was that after looking at my profile, Mezu decided to not grant me an account based on security reasons that they can't talk about. Please..
Do NOT get this app unless you want your account shut down for no reason. I got 2 referrals today and went to withdraw my $15 just to have my account deactivated and no withdraw. I am just glad I never lost more than $15 but if you are someone good with referrals or planning on using them for regular transfers I wouldn't recommend hard to say how much of your money they' ll get.
This app is TRASHHHHH!! I have an S9 so it's not my phone nor service. The app crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME it's time for "Mezu Money Time" They underestimate how many users will be on at one time obviously. Not to mention, I really believe that they have it set up to where only their family and friends can win. It's such bs lol but have fun!!
They closed my account for changing to a different debit card!!! I needed funds from a different bank account so i deleted the old debit card and put i new debit card in (no its not a prepaid card/gift card, it's real) and without warning they've blocked my account. I email them and apoealed but the answer is the same. I added a total of $84 in 3 transactions over 2 weeks and they closed my account! Complete waste of time with this app! And they better return my $84 thats still locked in there!!
