FAQ
Q: Can I test the connection before making a purchase?A: Yes, simply tap the MHD Store button. The ECU connection is checked before displaying available purchases.
Q: Does my Android device need to be permanently plugged to the OBD port?A: No. Once a flash is performed you can unplug your device.
Q: Do I need to purchase a new license each time I flash a map?A: No, you can ref lash as many times as needed.
Q: Is a battery charger required?A: It is highly recommended for long flashes (install, uninstall). A healthy battery will handle short flashes (map changes) fine but the use of a battery charger remains recommended.

The newest 2.40 ver. made reading and clearing dme codes extremely slow it shows some kind of obd readiness error. MHD developers please sort it out.. previous versions never did it.
This app for me has become the most useful tool for finding error codes and tuning. Easy flash tunes, easy connection, and the best part is that it only takes a few minutes to flash a tune. MHD also provides the burbles setting, which you can adjust the aggressiveness and duration to your liking. After tuning with the correct aftermarket parts, it really feels like a different car. This is the way to fbo!
Very easy to use. Great performance upgrade. Stock clutch with 100k miles didn't like the tune, but probably needed to be replaced/upgraded anyway. Like a large selection of additional options & gas maps. First flash takes ~40 min over WiFi, subsequent flashes take about ~2 min. Very cool program. Upgraded clutch highly recommended with the flash.
I love that this team works hard to give us SAFE, STABLE upgrades. I've had this for 2 years now and it works without issue. I love the gauges, but this is where they can improve. The "updated" gauge look is ok, but it could be much more modern like JB4. Also, they could realize that many use this app daily and auto open of gauges, etc. would be great. It'll only improve and eventually be 5 star. The base program is amazing though. Consider full battery registration (different brand batteries).
Wow. I cant say enough about this app. The program and tunes have been able to adjust each step as I made my way from stock to FBO. Now with the e85 maps I'm running their stage 2+ e30 map and its fully compatible with xHP stage 3. I flashed back to stock just to see how far the car has come and the performance is out of this world. Their support is top notch and the developers are constantly updating the software. I am a customer for life.
The exhaust burble doesn't work 100% on stock AT vehicles due to the cats and muffler. Barely audible. I give them a high star rating because they are responsive and are one of the few organizations that care to help you diagnose issues the app and find a solution. it's very convenient to be able to load maps from your phone as opposed to having an additional box and cable hanging around. or wanting to diagnose an engine fault on the road and find that you left the other box at home.
Amazing app that worked exactly as described. It gave incredible results when I ran a tune on my 08' 335i. Power results were stunning. The ability to fine tune certain items was amazing too. When I tell people about being able to literally flash my car or install a new tune all from my cell phone, they are blown away. The customer support was difficult to find at first, but I see they are quick to respond to concerns in this comment section. Thanks for the quick reply MHD! Rating updated!
There were some problems with google payment, but with MHD support this problem was solved. The tune install was fast and without any problem in car ECU. I used stage 2+, I have all the bolt-ons, but before the tune, my car was a bit hot. Now there is more power, the car rides more smoothly and the heat problem is gone. Thank you very much MHD for everything, wish you all the best, keep on improving and I will use your services for a loooong time
This app is great. I just bought a car and this MHD app has saved a bunch of time and effort. I had to pass emissions so I flashed back to stock, reset codes, and used the app to check emission readiness. I had a problem at first where the car wouldnt start after stock flash. I emailed MHD, and they got back to me quickly. Just had to check a box for aftermarket bimmerlife coils. And boom car started right up. Great customer service from Momir at MHD.

I've used this and burgertuning, separately and combined. I think this is a great stand alone tuner and a fantastic backend flash option. I also have installed the n55 version on another of our cars and it made the car come to life fully. I never have had any issues with this app and I cannot recommend it enough.
i used to run the Cobb AP, and while there wasnt really anything wrong with it, the car has had smoother power delivery, more customizable features (love the cooling target), and looks cleaner since you can view the gauges right on your phone/tablet. Best switch I've ever made.
Does what it says. I was told by a n54 mechanic that has tuned his BMW's that burble, really wears down the turbos and puts quite a bit of back pressure on them. So use sparingly. I most I would just put them on sport mode. I personally just turned off since they were never that loud with such exhaust.
Best tuning program/app. I like to be incontrol of my tune unlike other tunes. Easy to use. Takes 30 minutes for first tune. 2 minutes to modify your tune. You can revert back to stock. Very noticeable changes from stock with MHD.
Just updated to the new versions and now I am unable to communicate with the DME VIA cable. Double checked using JB4 and cable is not the issue. Update**** After deleting app, reinstalled new version it didn't work again. Tried several times, last time it worked. Updated stars.
The app is very easy to use and the results are amazing! For the next update I think a ghost cam idle would be a pretty cool add on with a slider that controls how choppy you want it to be.
What Android models are exactly require to support this APP, I had an OPPO worked fine, but it got stolen, so I bought a slightly cheaper Alcatel 1C, it says incompatible and won't download the MHD software. Alcatel is Android 7. Model 5009A, Kernal ver 3.18.35 Jenkins. 1.3Ghz CPU, 16GB Memory... What am I not looking at that I should be? The MHD site says nothing about the android phone that works VS does not work, other than OTG cable. Which both of these device support. How many phones do I have to go through? It doesn't seem sensible. Can they not just provide a spec to meet to make it work, or a device list? Its very frustrating.
Awesome app and great customer service if you have any questions on which map to purchase based on your modifications. Very easy to use and makes an incredible difference in driving the car.
I had a Dinan map for 10 years on my 2008 335i and thought it was good. Then I installed MHD stage 1+ a few months ago and was very impressed with the change and increase in performance. Then I installed an upgraded intercooler, intake, charge pipe, and catless down pipes and installed stage 2+ map. I'm very satisfied with my cars performance now, it has become very lively and fast

App worked well for over a year then the updated version wouldn't open at all, i then download the older version after troubleshooting everything the developer told me to do but in the end they were zero help and just told me to buyba new device despite my two tablets work fine with every other app and had been working for over a year with their app.
I've been modding cars for years and its never been this simple to add horsepower and torque. Add upgrades and add a supporting tune. Results are incredible.
Went from great to useless right at the time i needed it with 1 update. How is this a "rude" review? I'm having temp issues and after spending more money with you guys to use more features, it kept giving me error's. I'll up it to 3 stars because it's now working ok. This is a proper user experience review, noting rude about it. Contacting MHD whilst I'm driving and unable to use the features that I rely on at that moment isn't irrational, it's downright frustrating.
