• Story
The story begins in a forest near the village of Riders. Three young friends—the hero, Lilia, and Cheval—stumble upon a shining egg.

The trio perform a playful imitation of the Rite of Kinship, only to be shocked when it actually succeeds!

The egg hatches, revealing a baby Rathalos, a flying wyvern also known as “the King of the Skies.” The trio affectionately name him “Ratha,” and take him back to the village.

Days later, without warning, the village is beset upon by a monster infected by “the Black Blight.” They manage to drive it away, but not before it devastates the town—and leaves indelible scars in the hearts of Cheval and Lilia.

A year passes...

The hero receives a Kinship Stone from the Village Chief and officially becomes a Rider. Cheval and Lilia both leave the village, each on their own path. The hero, though separated now from childhood friends, partners up with the cheerful Navirou, and embarks upon a new adventure into the world of hunters.

A free intro to the paid version of the game, but for fans of Monster Hunter, this is actually a really good adaptation to mobile! I like that it's subtitled from Japanese and the art design of the game makes it feel like part of the Monster Hunter series. It's got an engaging main storyline with side quests. This doesn't feel like your typical mobile game; some cheap, pay-to-win knock-off. Give the free version a go and see if you agree. I, for one, am hooked and will be getting the full version.

I'd heard about the MH series before but ultimately decided to leave it alone. Fast-paced combat is difficult for me thanks to a gimpy arm, and I always found myself wishing I could fight alongside these beautiful beasties rather than just slaughtering them. This game solves both of those issues, and I couldn't be more excited! I will definitely be buying the full game once I'm done with this demo. The only gripe I have is the need for an internet connection. Once I understand, but requiring one every time I open the game—and force closing if it's in the background for too long—is really frustrating and just limits where I can enjoy playing the game.

This game is amazing, yes. I love the stories, graphics and controls. This was a de-stressing game for me at first until the boss battle on the Forbidden Land. I've replayed it three times, why? It wasn't saving. I already defeated it, got passed the cut-scene and I exited it for awhile, when I came back, I had to repeat the battle. I was stressed and did this twice before snapping. I'm disappointed of such a great game. Pease fix, or atleast add an automatic save function after every fight.

This is a great game and works great on my Galaxy S9+. It's one of the few games that I will buy at a $20 price. The touch controls are ok, but not easy to press certain things like "Items" in a fight. I am stretching the screen out to 18:9, but it should work better anyway. I feel it should have controller support since it was made on a portable console with a controller in mind. I would love to put this on a Shield TV if it was compatible...

This is SURPRISINGLY GOOD! Touchscreen controls is good. Visuals and Graphics is also good and you can optimize them for better performance if your android phone can't handle the graphics. And although that this is only the demo version, it may give you second thoughts on whether or not to buy the whole game. Which is FREAKIN' EXPENSIVE, BTW. My suggestion is to buy the full version of the game when it's on discount. 06/14/2020 - 01:04 AM

Nice game. It's refreshing to see something like this in the Mobile area. BUT Unfortunately it still feels like an unfinished product because it's Not translated in English. With a $27.99 Canadian Pesos price tag I would expect the game to be fully completed for the Western Market. I also experienced a serious bug where the game would not run if it was on an external storage SD. So I had to switch it to internal storage just to get the game going. The error I was getting was that there was not enough storage on my device but I have over 40 GB's on my external and my internal with a total of 80 GB's free on my device. So if anyone's experiencing this issue just try to do a swap of your storage.

I would give this game five stars if you could save anywhere. As a phone app it is not functional of i have to walk back to town or risk losing an hour of work if I want to look at something else on my phone and it reloads to lose all my progress. The app itself is quite enjoyable. I like the battles and interface, i just really don't want to keep losing my progress!!!

The controller should be fixed, it's extremely awkward that it MOVES on the screen as you run which alters your character's movement. The camera should probably follow your character better by default - it's hard to run in the right direction. Games saves are unfriendly for a mobile device. You can't just save and quit, there seem to be no place to manage save games either, very awkward. There is no exit to menu button also?

I want to love this game and I pretty much do, it's just the save function is terrible. Playing on your phone and need to put it down for 15mins, maybe taking a call? Too bad, your game reboots, progress lost. To save you must rest in your house. This means if putting your phone down, you must return to town, go home, and rest, too bad if you can't. Also while Androids Game Centre says it has made a save when you exit without saving in game, the game does not use it.

Just too good, but there are some control problems, there is no option to fix the virtual stick also I can't connect to my google account, now that's a big issue cuz I was thinking 'bout buying the full game but without my progress so far I think it'll be useless. Please help me out I really love this game and really want to play the full version.

This so called Prolog / Free Version is very good. You will get used to the gameplay in no time. The graphic, story, plot, are outstanding. Although I prefer the open battle system rather than turn based, but it's not a big deal for me. I need 5 hours of gameplay to finish this free version. Absolutely will buy the paid version. Good job Capcom.

looks like it has good potential to be a very fun game. the major limiting factor for me has been the limitee autosaving and ease at which it forces you ti reload the game if it needs to be minimized. Mobile games need to be very flexible with how you play. they should pause automatically when minimised, and run in the background well. if it does close you shouldn't lose progress. i had to replay some of the opening story gameplay literally 6 or 7 times because i kept having to stop playing.

Arv. P. Feb 28, 2019

hey i really liek the game and all but i have only one regret. the game should have an auto save feature for every time we change a scene. the game knly saves when yoe finish a mission or something and that also has a manual save. please see yo it that you change it. I've lost a lot of hame time because of this issue. otherwise i would love to give it a full 5 star rating if possible.

HD port of a DS RPG, missed the original. I don't usually play full 3D games because of the controls but these ones work great. Got fully used to the screen controls in a way I haven't before. Turn based battles are simple but fun take on rock, paper, scissors. A good cross gameplay-wise of Monster Hunter and Pokemon, but a bit more of MH's signature 'fight, sleep and eat meat!' mood. :3 Art looks great, seems like a lot of care went into the look and the way it renders. Runs flawlessly on G8+, takes more battery than most, but wasn't that bad, though I've been impressed with the G8 battery life in general. Played about 6 hours total with much sub-questing. Very generous demo if you like this sort of gameplay.

Wil. M. Feb 17, 2019

Skip it for the phone, the game is great but it is interrupted by any messages you receive, which causes the game to exit no matter where you are at and any progress since the most recent save is lost. Unfortunately it is virtually unplayable on the phone as a result. Rather surprising given the production value. That said, go and get it for the 3ds, it is a lot of fun - that's what I'm going to do.

Probably one of the greatest mobile rpg games out there. Yes, it is a demo. But even as a demo you have a solid 5 or 6 hours of gameplay. Great graphics for a mobile game (like seriously I had to stop a few times just to take in the work these people put into this game. Not to mention the amazing cut scenes that you can rewatch as much as you like), no adds, and best of all no extra in app purchases. This game is seriously amazing there is so much to do and it's totally worth the $20!!! Honestly you could probably continue to play even without getting the full game because it let's you redo quests and there are still places you can explore even after you get to the end of the demo. But regardless this game is truly wonderful and beautiful and just amazinggggg!!! Thank you for making this game.

Game keeps crashing. I like the idea of going from a free version to the full paid game without IAP. Good graphics, story and gameplay. The game keeps crashing though, and it will do it just before a save point so you'll have to start over. It may be my phone but I doubt it. It plays other games with similar graphics well.

I don't know why I put off downloading this for so long because it's amazing! I actually prefer the turn based combat to the original monster hunter style combat as it gives it more of a retro arcade edge like early final fantasy games. The graphics are unique and the controls are pretty fluid. I'm buying the full version right now!

I'm stuck on a black screen at startup, even though I have a pretty good internet connection. (doesn't seem to even try to connect? My connection speed is shown to be 0 k/s when the app is active) I'll keep trying, but I am a little frustrated with this problem. For those wondering what the license error 2 is, it basically just wants you to be somewhere with good network connection for it to "confirm the app license". Will update the rating once the game works.

First off, on my Samsung Note 8 the game looks so good! plays very smooth and i am enjoying the cute characters and storyline. i got my first monstie and when it goes to exploring on my own for the first time the game will glitch, pop up what looks like dos saying "MHST Reset". Then it resets and I have to start BACK at the start of the first open area. so its not saving auto even though its on! :( please fix in next update! my software is up to date as of this review 6/4/19

Good DEMO it shows a bit of what the game is capable of, it's gameplay mechanics and how well it might run on your device. Best of all is that you can use your save in demo in the full version of the game if one decides to purchase it. Another great aspect of this game is being able to transfer save data through devices thus being able to play it on what device you currently have available.

A-Mazing! This is console come to mobile. Flawless controls, enchanting storyline, and endless gameplay. I'm about 40 hrs. in and have barely scratched the surface. Absolutely beautiful. I'm an avid gamer, and this is by far the best mobile (and in some cases console) experience I have ever had. Good job, Capcom. I usually don't pay for apps, but this is worth every penny.

Nif. Oct 17, 2018

A very fun rpg game! This is one of the very few offline games that I'd spend on because it was that good and the demo didn't disappoint. The concept (like taking eggs and carrying it) is fantastic! The only problem I have is when you're riding your monster, because it's a little bit hard to control sometimes but overall this game is one of the best rpgs out there. I played this one for a straight 6 or so hours until I finished the demo. A very worthwhile 6 hours!

R. K. Dec 24, 2018

This game is amazing. Honestly, its probably the best Mobile port of all time graphically. With that being said, it does not have any controller support. While the need to touch the screen is important for some of the features, I found myself upset by the interference of my fingers constantly in the way of such beautiful scenery. You also can not play this game offline. When playing a largely solo experience, the inability to run this application without internet is a disservice.👎 fix this.

Hea. S. Feb 16, 2020

This is an AMAZING game! It's like Zelda and Pokemon, but all dinosaurs. I would buy this exact version of the game, but my only complaint that made me uninstall is the fact that it doesn't save right. You see "Autosave" pop up in the bottom right corner, but it doesn't save. I won't play games that don't save, what's the point? So disappointed. I'd rather buy it on the Nintendo Switch so I know it won't have glitches.

Eug. N. M. Mar 28, 2019

I love monster hunter and would like to play more but the thing is that the controll for moving keeps following my thumb(i would like it to stay in one place), and the auto saving is inconvenient. Maybe for the old monster hunter games on console is alright, but this is mobile device. Please make the save accessible through settings except for when fighting or in a nest of course. I think the price is reasonable, but fix these first then I'll buy and play more.

Would've give all 5 stars, if it wasn't for this bug that I'm experiencing. Rarely, the game force-close when there's a notification. Happened twice, one with whatsapp incoming message notification, and the other one was Facebook's. The latter one was a bit upsetting because I was in the Black Dread battle, almost defeating it. The notification appeared and the game suddenly closes. Edited : I was playing on my Galaxy S8+.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this, but man I absolutely love it. My only issues are that there is no menu in the game for changing settings, and it runs HOT on my phone. I can only play 10 minutes tops before my phone crashes due to overheating. I even got a phone controller with fans to help. But seriously, a nice fun game
