Once the app has been setup it's great but I had a nightmare trying to set up my WiFi box. When I try and attempt to configure the box to my access point it immediately crashes every time. Phone is using Android 8 and Tablet using Android 5. What I had to do is download mi light 2 from an apk mirror sight in order to connect it. The old app lags badly on Android 8 but lucky for me my tablet was on an older version.
Finally I've found an app that works on my S8, the old app for the milight bridge was shocking and although was fine on my S4, it took about a minute after every screen tap for the app to respond. the 3.0 version was not compatible with my older bridge. This app is snappy and flawless.
Can't join the bridge to the home WiFi because the app won't accept a long enough SSID password. Could the developers please update the app to allow for a max SSID password length? The standard is for 32 characters max but this app only allows 20...
It is soo hard because I have a mi light bulb and it can't seem to connect to it. It is so infuriating. I hated this.
Really poor experience Can't connect to light outside my home WiFi
Doesn't work. Uninstalled
This one is great looking and a lot more reliable than the original one from milight, but unfortunately or doesn't allow you to control BW bulbs, only 4 zones of your RGBW bulbs. I would even give 5 stars if it allow me to control BWs bulbs as ALL other apps do.
Was hoping to use this in place of the actual milight app as that refuses to setup. Crashes/freezes over & over. This app however detects the WiFi bridge, loads then goes back to the start screen and shows only online/offline toggles with no info under each. Tried multiple times. It's won't work. Also no guide or help on this devs website.
its good but some.majot improvments needed.First of all it serves the purpose very well in the sense of controlling the light via wifi/3g or 4g..so it gives you the freedom to able to control the lights from anywhere.now for the improvments. the interface needs to be changed, as you cannot know if the light is actually on or off when you are away fron home.it should have an icon to state if light is on or off.also when you connect via 4g connection you have to connect disconnect so many times before it est
Much better than the original milight app. I do find that it crashes and the saved settings dissapear though :( Love the addition of the home screen widget. But would like to see the zone names on the widget too.
Works fine for me. The widget is a nice addition. The alarm function allows you to automate your lighting so it's a very good addition compared to the original app from MiLight.
It's really FREE, no ads, no junk. The only one I found that works good with the older V2 along with Android 7. Works perfect with my setup changing colors, dimming and such. Thanks.
Spent too much time trying to get this app to detect bridges when outside of local network.. Have contacted for support and no response from dev.. This has potential to be great but lacks support and basic functionality.
Better than the original, but forgets settings every once in a while :(
Finally an app that let you set timers, but however only the rgb-bulbs are supported. So keep up de good work and get us doublewhite bulb support
Works fine in android 11. If you cannot connect, make sure you have reset box. Then connect to it via your laptop. And enter the gateway address into your browser. Then you configure the WiFi connection settings from your web browser.
Scheduled alarms don't work and no options to configure what network I'm on. I am running this app on Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge +......
i have managed to vonnect milifht to my home wifi and when I use your app hothing happens
No white light support. I have four white lights as well as RGB on the same bridge.
Few problems: 1. Can't connect app to bulb- am I missing something? 2. Light balb gets really hot
Good easy to use but alarm function not working properly.
very poor, android p, cannot link bridge to wifi
Has odd functions and a lack of guidance on how to use it... i.e. what is the purpose/use of "N" & "M" on the dial!!!
Thank you!
Can you please give instructions on how to pair a bulb with this app?!
Useless app.
To complicated to work
Completely non-functional
Does not recognize the lab
The app is barely functional, frequently deleting the saved connection info. There is also no way to set up a schedule that doesn't provide an alarm on your phone too, and the alarms are unreliable. Why can't I tell it to just turn on/off at specific times and let it do that in the background? Surely thats the main point of a base station?
