Was trying to fix a broken speaker on my phone, which was unsuccessful, but then I wanted to check whether I had messed up the microphone. The phone hardware test assumes that the speaker works. With this app I could at least just record for playback. One improvement would be if l could choose playback through the phone earpiece rather than its speaker, but I had a headset handy.
Simple. No bs. No ads. 3 buttons with simple interface that does one job perfectly and painlessly. It tests your mic. It is perfect for testing phone mic earbuds without calling and annoying people. Are my buds capturing audio via the obscure Bluetooth mic, or via the phone mic, or chopping in and out of both etc.? Does my vol change as I move around, how impt is proximity to phone, direct line to the buds etc? All great questions and all answered painlessly within 5 mins of installing.
Simple and amazing! The only thing I noticed is the "BT ready to record" indicator may not be correct, but it doesn't impact functionality.
I thought it was software that was preventing me from being heard by my phone because some of the apps could hear me fine but others could not. For example Google Duo could but that's only in video because it has super high gain speaker phone for video. Excited to fix the physical problem I dictated the file name and that resulted in it crashing. You have no valid screening the file input name from Google speech recognition keyboard LOL.
Exactly what I was looking for an app that I can use to test my Bluetooth headphones and playback. As others said thanks for not making it full of ads and keeping it lightweight and simple.
could finally work out some audio capturing problems with this app. the magic switch is "mic mode" option. direct --> headset mic is used. "communication" --> headset mic is ignored. still trying to figure out why, because I have this problem with several apps where i can't change this mode.
Great for what I needed, record the person speaking over the mic, list back to it and change settings on the sound board and then test again!! Thank. you
Hoping this app would help me figure out why my microphone works on the lg hd recorder app but will not work when set to direct sound or communication. The microphone doesn't work on keyboard or Google Assistant or on an actual phone call but I can record my voice on the record app that comes with the phone!
I find myself frequently testing Bluetooth microphones and this is the only app that makes it easy! call quality with my headsets is important and I switch between headsets often. It's nice to know how they sound on the other end, this is the only app that I found that makes that possible
Not knowing what to expect test surprise me because it is straightforward and it's simple and it does what it says it's going to do. An easy Mic Check for its quality, clarity and loudness. *am using a very old, inexpensive mic, to test this app. And it recorded better than i'd imagined. The 1 thing, wrong i found with it is the mic cable in the headphone jack sound output with no headphones (a mic w' headphones i used was poor) mic performance failed while Blutooth speaker is connected on.
Seemless. Exactly what I was looking for. Very simple interface and it just worked. I was curious if my Bluetooth microphone was actually working after changing settings or if it was the phone mic. I have an old S7 too. Great app.
Hye, jz want to confirm, mic mode option "communication" is the voice call during phone call right? - jz want to check if any problem w my mic since so many people complaining about my unclear voice during phone call. Note: i don't understand those giving 1 star simply because they didn't know how to use this simple app. Lol
Instantly gave the visibility I needed to solve my problem. I bought a lapel mic and was disappointed it didn't work well. So I tried this app and it quickly diagnosed the intermittent connection with my headphone jack.
Straight and to the point. Needed to test my pair of Bluetooth wireless earbuds and I was able to effortlessly record and playback. To delete a file, press and hold the recorded clip name.
Simple, easy, and non-invasive (i.e., no ads, requires minimal permissions, and appears to do only what it's supposed to---a definite plus). Works for me! 🤓
Every time I hit mic to test my headphones a dialogue box opens up to name the audio file. So I give it a name and it says "not a valid audio file." So I'm stuck in a loop. What am I doing wrong?
Great and simple to use. Clean interface and no excessive options or bloatware ads or anything else. Thanks for saving me the time of having to make my own
Found my issue but don't know how to fix. It doesn't record on communication option just the other one. Speaker phone and Assistant not working and don't know how to fix
it works wonders it helped me find out if my head phones mic work. but the app itself needs some improvement the interface is a little confusing but besides that its works and it works great
The interface could be a bit more simple but it does as advertised. No intrusive ads during the one time I used it.
This is the 5th app I tried, and the only one that actually allowed me to capture my bluetooth headset to allow me to compare how different headsets sound to the people I'm calling. In this new world of videoconferences, that's a great help! It is also nice that you can record throw-away snippets for testing without having to save them. The interface is basic and too-the-point. Can't fault that. Excellent!
