„Spy app catcher“ feature requires access to microphone to execute security test.Microphone protection can't be technically done without direct access to microphone. (In simple terms: We can't close or block doors if we can't touch or manipulate these doors)
- Can application secure / protect from spying by security agencies ?
Application can secure and protect your android phone from listening and recording you by other applications that are infected by spyware, malware, virus or security agencies spying code, but can’t protect you from recording your calls going through “telephone line”. App can’t secure “telephone lines” so once your voice leave the phone we are not protecting you anymore. So, Google voice no longer shows incoming calls due to my mic being blocked. I just get voicemails now since mic blocker can't auto block and unblock mic based on apps launched or calls received. If I could get that feature, along with a darker dark theme and a few more customizable options, I'd give 4 stars. 5 stars if I didn't Have to tap everything in the app 4 times for it to register.
The first time I used this app to turn off the mic I didn't know of how many apps actually use the mic to work. I ended up being late for work two days in a row because I thought I slept through my alarm, but no I didn't. The app silenenced the alarm! Fortunately I figured it out before the next day and deleted the app. This time I have installed it for a different reason. I needes an app that would disable the mic during Facebook broadcasts of my daughters softball games. The schools play music
I was finally able to get the premium and have the app working 24 hours a day. I feel better knowing that nobody can access the microphone without my permission. Big problem is I've been unable to adjust the volume for my music app and I'm not able to hear alerts for phone calls, alarm clock or any notifications!! Not happy!! Suspicious that developer hasn't responded to ANY posts in the reviews here... Might have to find a different mic block app. Hindsight and lesson learned.
This app does not work!... When in AOD mode (the standby mode the phone will always be in when not in use) it stops blocking. My Samsung S8 lets Bixby et al work even when this app is on and running, whenever the phone is in standby mode. I would like a full refund please.
Unusable. Everytime I go to block my mic, the app states something else has it tied up and I can't block it. Reboots don't work. No there apps running. I'd love to get my money back if possible.
doesn't work. I can have it blocked and still make voice memos, use voice typing, send voice messages, etc.. waste of money. also, it hasn't been updated in 3 years. I doubt the developer even cares that they put out a paid app that no longer works.
Does its job! No ads, blocks appropriately when i tell it to, warns me when an app is trying to use the device, and goes a long ways to assure me that the apps on my phone are all behaving, and that I can rid myself of the ones that aren't! i bought their other products, too, and they behave consistently with this app. Thank you!
App does block microphone. Tested with "ok google locked and unlocked. Galaxy Note 8. When app is active, alarm clock, Timely, doesn't work. Can't hear audio playback over bluetooth. Headphone jack doesn't play out. I have to disable AND reboot phone. Force stop doesn't work.
I able to purchased the premium but this app does nothing to block your microphone. At first, its workng but later on it does nothing.. It simply just say it is off.. Everytime I should to turn it on to access incoming calls it seems to continue to connect..Dissappointing!
It's a great idea but obviously it's impossible for me to check it. My question is regarding the blocking modes. There's four settings: Default, Most Secure, Battery Saving and finally, Mode 4. Can you explain what Mode 4 does? I originally checked your website but there's nothing about it there.
Microphone Block Premium works, alright. Problem is..it works to well. :( I can't turn the app off fast enuff when I get a call, so person calling me hangs up after I answer cause they can't hear me. Grrrr frustrating. Also 5 minute temp unblock is too short. Again..grrrr!

The app once device is rebooted or booted the mic app says its blocking access to it but if on an LG device you open the built in voice recorder app it opens up and the mic isnt being blocked from apps from using it. Can you update your app? Thank you
Love the app, kind of a pain when trying to record or use camera with Camera Block because it takes some extra time. Maybe an exemption list or a quick code if you hit certain apps? Also an update for the newer Android is needed I have the Note 10 and it says it might not work properly. I wish we didnt need these type apps ,we should be protected with our privacy but I think we all know with 2-5 cameras and a mic in everyone's pocket are you ever truly alone?
Thanks for fixing the widget on galaxy note9. Now the issue is that the phone's mute button randomly goes on and off whether the phone is in my hand or on a table. Had to uninstall this app. Now I can talk on the phone. Please fix!
I installed this app and it interferes with my alarm clock and other apps. I uninstalled it less than 12 hours after installing and requested a refund but never got it. They kept my money and I can't use the app. RIPOFF!
Paid for the pro version app stopped working and I no longer get updates for it. I sent the publisher an email about it and never got a response. Once they get your money I guess that's it.
Fantastic if you don't want sneaky apps listening in on you, but it has prevented me from being heard when making calls. So I've had to deselect it, which kinda defeats the purpose.
Paid $8. Won't work on this Samsung phone. It thinks another app is using the mic. However. I have denied permission to all apps including camera. Tried restarting. Won't work. Please fix or refund.
This app drastically reducers sound on videos. Now can hardly hear them. Text i cant hear at all. Iv disabled it. Sound back to normal. If this is fixed i would give 5 stars. Paid version. Paid today. Now cant get refund, because in google have now changed from refund to uninstall in app.. Please can you sort this issue.
No Android 11 Support. I just updated my Moto to android 11 and now this app is worthless. No help from the developer neither as it seems they have closed up shop for any support. Too bad, I have used this app for almost 10 years now
I upgraded to Pro and now it doesn't work. Errors out every time. States that another app is using my microphone despite a restart.
Nice application . I reinstalled it now because, with the update it now unlocks itself when I get or make a phone call. My Note 9 keeps telling me that this application keeps accessing my microphone in the background . Don't know what that is about.
I have used this app for years and have preformed testing to verify the mic was actually blocked and could not be overriden. Thank you so much for such an amazing product!
I love this app but the latest version has a problem with the automatic blocker. It doesnt re-block automatically after 5 minutes anymore like it used to
Great app, seems to block everything. I upgraded because the free version, although designed not to work between 8 and 10pm, still blocked my recorder app.
