Blocks everything! It does not seem to be using the white list so if you want to use Google assistant you have to trigger it with app. You would think if you whitelist the application you should be able to use it. There's a section on the main screen that shows you which applications have been blocked. You would think that you should be able to click on those applications and select unblock, but that is not a thing.

**NO LONGER WORKS. YEARS AGO IT DID SO I JUST NOW WENT AND REDOWNLOADED IT AND PAID.** Since this worked once upon a time I didn't re-test it. Anyway, just now I forgot that it was running and answered a phone call. Guess what? While still enabled the fu- mic worked just fine. I really should have known better, given the amount of bs that Google allows here unchecked and rarely enforcing truth in advertising. Why? Every time someone gets ripped off, Google gets paid too. And it's a free app now?

Dont usually rate apps often, but this is Brilliant. Solved an issue with Google assistant I was having in slick fasion. Love the widget, super smooth and works exactly as needed. Well done team.

I was using the free version of this app and it seemed quite useful, so I thought I would upgrade and try the full version. However, the app simply doesn't work. I turn the protection on manually and it is fine. This can be tested by using the voice recorder on my device which doesn't record at this point. Unfortunately as soon as I make or receive a phone call it stops working. The app still shows as being protected, but I can use apps to record and save sound. Disappointing waste of money.

Although it's an app with lots of good functions, there are still bugs. First of all, it interferes with the alarm clock application, causing the alarm to sound only a few seconds, instead of sounding until snoozed, or dismissed. Second of all, boot protection startup of the application does not disable microphone for "ok GOOGLE" function. If you turn the Mic Blocker off and turn it back on, it does prevent "Ok GOOGLE" from listening to the microphone.

This app performs just as it says. I have only one issue, the widget does not work. I can find no setting or claim that it should act as a button to toggle protection, but the camera guard this developer produced has a widget that does just that and looks nearly identical. I find it very convenient with this feature and would like the microguard to act the same way. Is this intended?

This is a very good app but only one eye works unfortunately I would have to say you cannot trust it you got to constantly check on it !!! Are you have to do once you install it every now and then try and send a message to someone and hit the little speaker and if you see you work and you can record that's going to tell you your system has been turned off off I don't know why it doesn't but it's not safe find something else would be my best advice almost like trusting biting stay away !!!

WHY is THIS app using my microphone?! Also, this works part time. I shouldnt be able to say HEY GOOGLE and have my phone respondeven AFTER I have it "blocked" with this app! Of course, NO RESPONSE from the developer and WHY? Because I am right! Dont download this app, clearly it's useless and the app itself infringes on our privacy! UNINSTALLED!!

App says "protected," but the "Now Playing" feature on the lock screen of my phone displaying songs playing in the background - on other devices not connected to my phone - says otherwise. When I open Google Assistant, the mic is activated, but when i close it, open the mic blocker to confirm that it's enabled, then reopen Google Assistant, only now do i get a notification that the mic is disabled. Finicky and not reliable.

Gordon, Google needs an update, "Human Intervention" & stop sweating me for anything regarding this app. For 2 yrs I paid Play Store, last month I paid for the yearly license from Protectstar & it's great except for Google updating it when I canceled my subscription 2 weeks before due & unistalled it 2 days prior to activation by Protectstar. Now it reinstalled again. People the app works by showing every app that intrudes. On/Off I feel apps tell an share regardless & are out of human control.

After the latest update to android 12, When this app is active a green dot is always present in the upper right corner.. And it disappears, when I deactivate Mic Guard, so is Mic Guard keeping Microphone active as well??

Nice GUI update. Still doesn't block Google Assistant ☹ unacceptable when a free app from 2019 can do it, namely Microphone Disabler by Tankasoft. Please update your app, thanks.

It keeps telling me to pay for service. I have paid for service. What's up with that??? I have a 12 month subscription. Correct and I will leave an updated review!

I like how this app is designed, and what it does. But several times a day I find that the microphone has been turned on again. The widget is still green !!!? I have to turn off app and back on again. This is a Note 8 with android 9. All power savings are off. All battery optimizations are off. Anybody have a clue about this? Also, there is no support, money was taken for a bad app, will uninstall now.

It works well enough. But this is an uneeded app. Nobody needs that protection on phones. They have their own on off switch so this is redundant at best. I am admin of my phone. Get it? Not easy to uninstall though! This app will not allow me to. I tried my setting and it just wont go away. Im starting to hate it. Only gave 2 stars because it works too dang well. Not happy!! I want rid of it asap. Waste of space.

I have both apps for camera and microphone. While both used to work perfectly, they are now turned off without my input almost on a daily basis. What is the purpose of these apps, if they do not protect? Please assist with this problem as many others are reporting the same issue. Thank you.

The blocker is constantly being turned off, and not by me. It doesn't seem to recognize being turned off by a 3rd party like it claims to, which makes me feel like it's not recognizing that other apps are listening on me. 10/10 epic fail in my book. If I could rate this 0 stars, I would.

Everytime i check the statis its turned off ! I turn it on and within 3 or 4 days its off again!!

No Support The programs for mic and camera keep turning off by themselves. I have written requesting support with no response. Dont bother with these. They used to be great, but no longer. I even upgraded to the paid version and still... I have uninstalled and am looking for something new.

This app stops me leaving voice messages on whatsapp even though it is whitelisted. I have to turn protection off which kinda defeats the whole object. Support is non existent. I have emailed them 3 times and have never received a response. They are happy to take your money but it all ends there. My recommendation.....buy another product!

Does NOT work in Android 11. first it starts off fine but after a few hours it simply fails to block the mic. It has to do with android 11 permission settings, only allowing microphone access when "app is in use". you have to make use of the accessibility feature to have it on all the time like in previous android versions. yet no microphone blocking app is making use of it

In theory it's blocking the microphone, but who can be sure really? Also, modern Android versions will try to kill the process in the name of saving the battery. So, watch it! I also use the same app vendor's camera block app. Not sure why they don't do a version that combines the two? Would be handy. Also having a feature where the app knew it was being shut down by android would be good. If the app vendor were to combine the two I'd go Pro in a shot.
