Just terrible. There must be someone capable of a decent port of this game. This is basically a browser window with text buttons and on screen arrows for map scrolling (dragging with merely scroll the game window around...). Technically playable, but it feels like an experiment from a flip phone. Pure garbage.
though I do like the game on pc the mobile version is terrible... here are my thoughts: 1 remove the arrows and just use one movable joystick ok? 2 make the map zoomed in more say about... 50x50 squares 3 put a mini map on the side with a square on the inside showing you where you are zoomed in. 4 just use simple icons for the items like the rail can be 🚝, roads can be 🚗, fire station 🚒 and so on. and finally dont use the website for mobile it's just too confusing. hope to see updates
it's the first sim city. and has potential to be a very fun game. but the mobile touch screen interface needs a lot of work. is really hard to place the objects you want where you want them. maybe if it had a zoom function it would be a lot better.
The UI is a disaster. The view is too zoomed out to build accurately, there is no dragging function for roads, and the fact that you have to tap arrows to move the view around is horrible.
Terrible. No zoom, screen blinks on every touch and many more bugs. Game is simply unplayable on mobile, which is very unfortunate because it's seriously a great game. Lot's of potential in developing something more suitable for mobile users, hope that happens soon.
honestly kind of a let down compared to the original first you can't zoom in second the UI is a little awkward and makes it hard to play
Not suited for mobile. You'd need a stylus just to attempt to play this. The original game is already bare bones, so the fact there are pretty simple things in the original that you can't do here is just silly
It's a direct port, so it has some control problems. If they were to update the user interface then it could be an amazing game.
Would be better if you could zoom in...as is, it is difficult to place things exactly where you want them....put in a zoom feature and I will download this game again...
it run in html for one (basically like a browser game) wich means its slow and you cant hold the pan camera buttons or hold and drag to place stuff
Rubbish, just looks like a copy of the original sim City, but has not been updated to enable better interface.
I like that it is similar to Simcity classic, but without some kind of zoom ability, it is useless.
Very good game but the game should have a multiple City feature so if you want to have multiple Cites you can
It's bad when something not running on dos feels more clunky than something running on dos.
I love the original sim city game and am so glad i found this game i love it the original sim city feel is so addicting
Blast from the past! takes me back to my childhood. And small enough to fit on a floppy!
Put a zoom in/out system in the game please.
good job here! I would give you five but no notepad yet soo!!!
Need an update
Basically works, but the interface is terrible. Single road/wire per tap, tap buttons to move around the map one square at a time, and nearly impossible to properly line up zones. Might be interesting with a mouse plugged into the device but doesn't really work. Shame, too, because I've been looking for a straight port of the old SimCity/Micropolis code.
Finally we get to play the original on touch screen. Thank you so much to the developer for porting this over. For sure a few tweaks are needed (pinch zoom would be nice for accuracies sake) but I'm sure improvements will come as time allows. I'd imagine this is a labour of love, so thank you again on behalf of those who consider the original to all be the best!
Crashes too much, hence only 3 stars, awesome game, otherwise
My favorite game on my youth. Glad to see it back!
Terrible unplayable PC port. Controls are terrible: cannot zoom, road has to be put tile by tile etc....
Upgrade alot of things please
As far as ports go on Android, this is truly a well put together port. It is an awesome nostalgic experience. I loved the simplicity of this game when I played it as a child on the Super Nintendo. Only thing to make this perfect is to add a zoom in feature and make positioning of items adjustable, maybe like a confirmation of placement rather than just a touch and drop. It is quite difficult to place items perfectly in place. Other than that it is a job well done and it is fun.
