Initially failed to connect and transfer photos. My phone and PC were connected to same WiFi and latest app version was installed. That's been resolved, but the app still has unacceptable glitches. In spite of all necessary permissions having been given, Your Phone app on my PC is still asking me to send a notification to my phone to allow access to messages. However, when I click the button no message is sent.

The only practicle task is writing SMS my computer. The limited access to camera-photos could have been enough for easily transfering work-related photos to my work computer for progress-reports; the inability to multi-select and save images makes this unpractical. No means to bulk-manage contacts. Reducing notifications to SMS only takes one click per app due to lack of multiselect; all 97 apps were enabled by default instead of reflecting the phone's notification settings to start with.

I hate this app with the fire of one thousand suns. This is due to the fact that it constantly teases you. One day (and one day only) it works marvelously, texting people from my PC is a breeze and makes communicating much easier. But then, oh but then, it stops working, seemingly for no reason,. It won't send texts, or will send one text (with a duplicate that errors out after about 1 minute) and then won't send another until you close the Windows app and reopen it. There seems to be no support and information about issues is almost impossible to find. It's a great idea but a complete failure in its current form.

App makes working as a freelancer way easier. I can connect my phone to my work laptop and be able to make calls and respond to texts from my computer. Being able to have everything in 1 place is so convienent. I wish I could do more with the app. When I had my Samsung phone I was able to access the apps on my phone and use them in what reminded me of an emulator. With my new Google phone that's not possible, and it's highly frustrating. App is wonderful but needs some work.

The app used to work and then came an update and suddenly it doesn't work as well as it used to. It'll say that the message is still sending on the computer despite showing being sent on the phone. It won't open all messages on the desktop. It has a spotty connection with my phone at best now whereas before it was fine. I think it's time to find a new app

Very convenient but crashes a lot. It makes a big difference, to be able to text from the computer keyboard, rather than laboriously typing with one finger on the phone. BUT: The Windows app, that connects you to the phone, goes through periods where it is constantly crashing and becomes unusable.

Edit: it's all good now. App works perfectly! 101/10 would recommend [Below is my Old comment] (What a shame. Your Phone is a good app but it's extremely unreliable. It has great potential. But sadly it lacks obvious features that other apps already have. But worse thing about this app is you can never know when it will decide to connect. As of writing, I'm faced with the "Something went wrong" error message on my laptop. It's been like this for 2 weeks now)

granted, I haven't used many similar apps. but this has done everything I need for 2 years and I have slowly utilized it more from use. getting fully linked with your phone, email, pics. It has some apps. I'm sure those are interesting. the camera one was generic. but I didn't get this app for photoshop. connects with Bluetooth.... yeah. now if I could just have a real time touch interactive Virtual desktop on my phone. integrated into this.... idk if thats already out there.

An okay app for people who have Windows and Android devices. You can save photos from your phone to your PC via Phone Link (marginally faster than plugging your phone into the PC and copying photos across via file explorer) and send SMS messages or make calls from your PC. Just ONE issue that leaves me frustrated: It connects your phone and PC automatically once you set the app up, and there is NO WAY to make it only connect when you want it to, in Android 10 or in the app on PC.

It's convenient, but there's a huge priority for messages over notifications on the desktop now. As an international user, I don't text, but rather use apps like WhatsApp to message people, as does everyone in my country. I used to be able to conveniently do this on the desktop in the notifications panel, but now that panel has become quite small compared to the"text messages" tab. Please make it optional or flexible.

I have been using this app off & on over the last 4 years, the few times I did have some kind technical issue, such as it wasn't generating a QR code & I had to "try another way" & got a good to enter. Which worked every time! Also I love how you can check your email & texts from the laptop & even respond to them. It also downloads ALL of your pictures to it [don't quote me on that, but I just know they are on there when your phone is connected]. Would 5/5 recommend to a friend! 😊

I'm sorry to report that this app no longer works for me. It used to work well with my Motorola One 5G Ace but doesn't work with my new phone, a OnePlus 10 Pro. It did work for awhile then it was no longer able to connect, with a constant "connnecting to your PC" message on the phone. I've deleted the app from the phone and re-installed it, removed the phone from the app on my PC, then proceeded to re-install. It got to the point where it was finished on the phone and I got "stuck" while finishing on the PC. I followed the link on what to do when I got stuck and that link was useless. I eventually tried disconnecting my phone from the network and reconnecting, and the app worked for awhile then quit again. Evidently it was not applying the setting that should allow it to run in the background, so I manually corrected that setting, to no avail. I keep getting "cannot connect to your Android phone" followed by some incomprehensible suggestions. I decided to uninstall the app from my phone.

I like this app and the software on Windows 10. They work well. Although, the notifications can feel annoying if you are on your phone already and had dismissed it already but it still shows up on your computer again. Perhaps some kind of usage detection should be implemented but I do get too many notifications from a lot of apps so might not be the case for most people. I removed a star because it does not run android apps on Windows as it claims to do unless you own a Samsung phone. Why?

Spent an entire morning downloading this thing for using apps on my larger screen. Bottom line it showed me access only to messages, photos and calls. (Apps are nowhere to be found!) Like anything else with Microsoft trying to mimic appl, horrible user journey and useless results. (When submitting the troubleshooting, they ask for a screen shot, but there is no way to attach it 😅). Double- failure.

Convenient, I guess, it isn't really that useful. It'd be great to be able to access more file types and even browse the files on the phone and download them. Also a potential security issue is that the phone doesn't differentiate between wanted SMS messages and potentially dangerous spam that has already been flagged and sent to trash or otherwise separated by the phone's SMS app. These messages appear in amongst regular messages.

Was pretty great on Win11; but now it hasn't worked at all for the last two weeks, and I can't even update the app on my phone OR on my PC. UPDATE: Fixed after review by hard-deleting app on both devices as last ditch effort. I don't trust Microsoft enough to send my logs for troubleshooting, Updated to a 2-star because that sort of fix should never be required when both devices stay fully up-to-date and automatic updates of the app are enabled.

I have had this linked to my PC for a week, i still can't connect to make calls. It says connected on my phone but, still can't connect on the app on PC. Trobleshoot is no help. Tried repair and nothing. So I reset the app and it's still the same. A lot of the time I will have messages and it doesn't show up on my PC, like when I go get a coffee and come back there will not be anything on my PC saying any messages. I have missed more than I can count. The only thing left is to reinstall.

Sooo glad this exists now. The one thing I would add is the ability to utilize USB to show the phone or app screen, for situations where the phone and PC cannot be on the same Wifi network, or no cell data available. At present, the app insists that the phone and app be on same Wifi network to screen share, which is difficult in corporate environments. Fix that, and 5-star!

It links your phone to your PC, just as the app describes...that is why it gets 3 stars, which I would technically give it 2.5 stars for it doing the average basic abilities...Any other functions that you would like to do between your phone and PC, besides the basic(Access messages, access photos, and make/receive calls), then the app directs you to download other Microsoft/Windows apps from the menu section. Therefore, it is SUPER basic, with no extras.

Handy when it works - but it often doesn't. Messages simply stop appearing in it when they were before and nothing has changed (apps on phone and desktop are up to date, no change in sender, addressee, messaging app/service, etc.). Some of the icons in the app are greyed out and there is no help available.

Disconnects all the time. I have tried 3 times to reconnect. Deleted my computer and reached it 4 times. Checked all of the settings to make sure I am connected to wifi and Bluetooth. Made sure battery saver is off and that it isn't optimized. I have trouble with this app on all of my computers. Beginning to be a pain. I love it when it does work because of my job it makes it easy to do everything from my computer while talking to clients. Wish they would fix this problem though. It is annoying

Turned out to be quite useless for the specific purpose I wanted - transferring photos from my nearly full phone to pc (without Bluetooth) wirelessly. Setup was easy and I could view the photos from the phone on the pc just fine. However, the only way I could see to transfer them was to save them one at time! I'm sure this app is fine for whatever it's really meant for but that's clearly not transferring numerous photos. Unless I've missed something. Back to the trusty cable!

Great! At last a small but really useful device that does what it sets out on the tin. I especially like the clear uncluttered presentation and being able to access the photos on my phone while doing work on my laptop. Personally I am no fan of Microsoft but for me they have got it right with this app. I am on a Fairphone 3+ and a Lenovo laptop with Windows 10.

I LOVE the feature, but at one point I was unable to connect and have never been to reconnect on any of my devices :(. My phone gives me the message "Pairing failed Something went wrong." I have tried everything I can think of including trying to remove the PC from the phone. I have a Surface Duo 2 and a Surface Studio 2. I have followed all the trouble shooting with no success. I am so sad, because it is so nice to use the keyboard to type text messages. I would really appreciate some help so I can reconnect.

Need some tuning. Thanks for the response MS. I think the app works okay. Just some connection issues here and there. For example having to reconnect and when making a call: it either doesn't connect or just makes the call on the phone. (Defeats the purpose of the app) I would like to give my PC full access to my phone so I can make and delete, not just pictures, but everything: call history, contacts, texts, etc. Maybe one day even access app or be able to mirror the screen with the click of a button. I will upload my usage and diagnostic data to help improve Your Phone app. For now 3/5 Thanks again!

I got this app when I got a new phone last year and I really liked it. Made it so I could leave my phone charging somewhere and not miss messages or other notifications. But they recently made some update that moved the notifications to a side bar and now I have to either have my picture gallery or my text messages open at all times on my computer to use the app. It is incredibly annoying since I used to easily be able to see all new notifications at a glance. I can't even find a way to change it back to how it used to be. I never use it at all anymore since the update has made it useless to me. Will probably be deleting it if they don't revert back to how it worked before or allow me to customize what the app shows by default on my computer

It works great when it works. Its very glitchy. Sometimes it connects sometimes it doesnt. Most the time the texts dont update so that can be annoying. I mostly use it to wirelessly transfer photos from my phone to my computer. The recent updates have made the drag and drop faster but sometimes they wont drop and you have to wait for it to load
