ridiculous!! I have the band for years but since late 2017 it has been impossible to connect to the app simply because you have not updated for the latest phones. with my S9 which i have had for a year the app doesnt even open. i cant even connect the silly band with Microsoft app on the computer and now to slap us on the face Microsoft is willing to refund but only if last synced between end of 2018 and beginning of 2019?!?! what a disgrace..how?if your app hasn't worked since 2017
No Updates in Years !! I've been using my Microsoft Band since 2015 and I've really enjoyed it, but as always (just like Windows Phone and Zune) once Microsoft stops supporting a product it's only a matter of time before new updates from operating systems makes the old Microsoft product useless. The latest Droid update (Feb. 2019 on T-Mobile; Galaxy S9+) has completely made Microsoft Health a throwaway app. It crashes every time I open it and now I can't update my workouts. Time to make a switch
the app basically crashes every time i open it. a white screen opens and refuses to go away. when i can get to the settings i cant successfully pair my band before the blank white screen appears. as long as my band remains unpaired i cant use it. I've uninstalling, signing out, restarting my phone and cleaning my app data. nothing stops it from crashing on loading
Have just got the band out to use. It's been a while since I used it. It did the job so I thought why buy a new product. Only to discover Microsoft has abandoned it. Totally disillusioned in Microsoft. This single incident and having read all the identical reviews has made me decide to avoid all microsoft products in future. Anyone who sees the list of one star reviews will no doubt come to the same conclusion. Microsoft has no loyalty to their customers. Why would they expect any in return.
This app wont even open on my samsung note 8. Ive been trying for over a week to make this work with my Microsoft band and have yet to see the app. It closes before the window is open. I have close to 10 hours of time into troubleshooting this app and have had 0 sucess. Any assistance from the app developer would be helpful.
i love the band and the app, or at least i did. the app has not worked since the latest Android update last weekend. Microsoft support has been no help at all. So currently, having loved it in the past its no longer any use at all! come on Microsoft, sort it out please!!!!
Nice one Microsoft! An app that won't open on my Nokia 8 after the latest android update! Pure genius! On top of that I get an email from you telling me you are stopping band services, and now I can't retrieve my data from my band because your app doesn't work.
Currently trying to use a Band 2 on Pixel 2 XL. The latest app from October 6, 2017 continually crashes upon launching. Considering it has been over a year since MS updated this app, they've most likely given up on the devices entirely.
I own a Microsoft band. Unfortunately, Microsoft won't dedicate a single employee to making sure this app can, at a minimum, operate on the latest version of Android. So now my band cannot sync with my phone. Unfortunate. Five stars if it gets fixed.
ever since my phone did an update for android the band stopped working entirely. could not open the app at all. it drains my battery somehow still. i was waiting hoping for an update on the band after i submitted a complaint but still nothing. sadly i was using this for my cardiologist to gain info. i lost all my data. i have little faith any updates will be posted soon to get my band working for me again.
I gave up on this app and went to fitbit. Every since I upgraded my Pixel to Andriod 9 the band app no longer worked. I contacted Microsoft and said that they would have an update on the app soon. That was about 6 months ago and the last update was in October of 2017. NOT GOOD hence 1 star
Absolutely ridiculous they sold a product that requires them to keep working so it will work for the consumer. Why they just decided we are done with that i have no idea. Now we are left with a useless chunky $400 fitness bands that have absolutely no use without the app. I will never buy another Microsoft product this is why Apple in Samsung kill it.
App is connected and logged into my Microsoft account , also connected with my band and Syncing data from band process is completing without any errors, but there is no data in the app, no steps count, no sleep data, no Calories data nothing in the app.
The band 2 was amazing and the app worked really well. But the build quality of the bands of off. I had 2 replaced when the third broke I no longer had access to a ms store.
No longer works with Android 9 on a Google Pixel phone. You can still use it for workouts if you connect to a PC, but the smart phone features like message alerts no longer work.
Doesn't work on Android 9. Was a bit buggy on my old phone running 8.0, but now it won't even open. Hasn't been updated in ~16 months, which doesn't inspire confidence.
I'm so annoyed that ist stopped working, had this band for long time and such a easy use, now it's useless please fix the problem or refund money for the Microsoft band. Very disappointed with Microsoft
The band just stopped working. it's literally stuck in pairing mode as I tried to factory reset everything. So disappointed as I've been a lifetime Microsoft user
Microsoft abandoned the app and it no longer opens. As another review indicated, a previous version still works on the latest version of Android. Google microsoft-health-1-3-20329-1-26.apk download and install.
My Band2 is now also useless after my phone updated to Android pie. My last ever Microsoft purchase - I had a windows phone that they dumped, a surface pro they won't update and now the band! Very unhappy!
This app was brilliant on my Windows phone. On Android OS, sometimes it works other times it doesn't, which is frustrating.
Used to work, now crashes on start after updating Android. Can't make changes to or use my Band 2, now. does not work with Android 9 at all.
Very hard to sync. Runs slow when updating and some of its features dont work properly in connection with the Apps and my tracker.
now i can't even use my band 2 after resetting it. Please do something about this problem. How can u guys be so useless? at least do something. We don't expect these kind of discission from you Microsoft. If you are not gonna solve the problem im never gonna buy a Microsoft product again.
can't even use my microsoft band because your app won't work with my s8 plus. it was working just fine on my note. why are you not updating thos app for new phones? so now i have this expensive watch that is useless. what am i suppose to do.
band 2 died within a few months. literally spend more time on the phone with M$ trying to get them to honor the warranty than I did wearing the damn thing.it had a lot of sensors and was a decent device if M$ would have just stood behind it. I actually got them to admit they owed me a refund after getting my case "escalated" multiple times. when they asked if I wanted a refund I said yes then I was never able to get a response from them again and still haven't received my check. shame on you M$
I bought myself a used Microsoft Band 2 off of eBay. Used it with my Alcatel IDOL 4S with Windows 10 Mobile. However, due to the structural integrity of the ribbon cable in the wrist strap, between the battery compartment and the display, the device no longer works. The ribbon cable had torn inside the wrist band while I was wearing it during my shift. During the time it was working properly, I had no issues with it, whatsoever. I later bought another one, only for it to also break the same way as the first one. Really disappointed that they cancelled the third generation Microsoft Band, right after they made the prototype. I would've bought one myself.
