Microsoft Math Solver

Almost the best app for math. Almost. It's great for solving problems that you don't understand how to do, making it a great calculator, and shows you the steps to do. Great for practicing for tests. But on this varient, quizzes have crashed and/or restarted the app, making it difficult to practice those problems. By the way, thank you MS! Just please fix this problem.

Awesome app. Kinda impressed with Microsoft, managing to develop an app that actually works as expected and it's still simple and easy to use without useless features no one asked for. So far it has solved some maths others apps can't do. By January 2020, however, performance is still somewhat of an issue. It lags from time to time and, sometimes, when I switch to another app and then come back, it restarts. The flashlight does not turn off until you exit the solution.

I'm not usually one to leave reviews, however, this application is amazing! It doesn't have as many features as WolframAlpha, but the ones it does are much better, in my opinion. The image recognition puts other services to shame. Step by step problem solving is a default feature, and there are links to instructional videos, if needed. Honestly, I can't believe this is a free tool. As more features are added, I can see this stealing away paid customers from other services, with relative ease.

It is just a great app for solving any type of algebraic expressions!! You have to just type in the problem or you can also scan it and you'll have the solution in seconds!! But sometimes, the scan doesn't work properly as it says ' No problem found '. I would suggest that the scan feature should be improved further to the next level. OVERALL A GREAT APP!!

Unique, Fun, Accurate. Just as easy to use as any calculator, and very accurately interprets your writing. I'm not sure if you must be online, haven't tested that. But, a big advantage not having to hunt the right key, just scribble what you want. You have the option of using keys, but the handwriting interface is great.

It's amazing! It tells me the answers but also tells me how it got the answers. The verify feature is awesome and the videos are really useful too. It's great for studying and just wow! The only thing you should change is the quiz because when it says generating quiz, the quiz has nothing to do with what I'm studying. It's really easy to use and it's just WOW! I'd definitely recommend for students of any kind and I think Microsoft should be very proud of its app. WOW!

It is a very good app for students. It shows every single step by step that helps you to solve problems. It a very simple and easy to use.It also don't have many ads which makes it easier to use it. If you are willing to use it you can use it with any hesitation. It also helps me to do my homework. But some additional features can be made by microsoft like if it tells you than it would be more easier .I liked the app so much i am giving it a 5 star rating. 😁

Is really useful, and even when you have bad lighting, it still scans and gets the right numbers. Sometimes takes a few tries if you marked out a number in a equation, but still, its very good! I've just started using it to check if my algebra answers were right, and it is like my own calculator! It walks me through to find the solution with easy steps, and its very easy to use.

I am not the type to leave reviews as most apps seemingly do not deserve it but this one is well put together by Microsoft. It articulates all math problems and shows required work. Perfect for the new curriculum with my kids. Math is nowhere the same as they used to be and now I'm able to keep up. Thank you very much for the Fantastic app!!!

This is a pretty good app for solving all kinds of equations and being able to scan them for solving is great too. The only problem I have is that the interface for typing in equations has some shortcomings. In particular, you can't type an exponent, put it in parentheses and then raise that to an exponent without pressing the ( )^2 button BEFORE you start typing what's inside the parentheses. I have never not been able to input an equation though. Also if a developer is reading, copy fromdesmos

Nice App! It helped me a lot. Whenever I get stuck in an equation this app gives me step by step solution of my Problem. But I have a small problem with the graphs in the app. When i enter a Quadratic Equation and post it, it gives me a graph, but the problem is that when I zoom the graph the graph lags very much and it's too difficult to zoom it. Otherwise, the app is outstanding ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's a handy tool but it has serious shortcomings. Firstly, not the most user friendly, it's easier to use a proper Sci calculator or MS Excel. Sometimes it is insanely difficult to even get the right equation in. Secondly, it needs internet access. I mean, it's not like a smartphone can simulate a complex physics simulation. Phones have the firepower to solve equations without asking the cloud to hold its hand. I don't need a link to a video on the problem, I just want an answer.

I've been using this app for about six or seven months and it's a great app for solving math problems and it helped me a lot for problems which I couldn't do. But recently, any math problem entered will take about 2 to 3 minutes and it says "Something went wrong, please try again later" and I've tried about 5 to 6 times and it still shows the same message. Other than the recent problems, the app works flawlessly and would recommend it to anyone.

I've never seen an app decipher what I write using my hand so fast and with such accuracy. Kudos to whoever wrote that algorithm. It's a good app, a little bit too cluttered for my taste. You can try making it a little clean, in my opinion. The search results from web are extra helpful, so that's good. It can solve some pretty hard problems, so that's good, but my only gripe with it is the fact that it doesn't offer the step-by-step solutions to those problems (yet?)

This app is really great. And really thankful to MS for listening to users. I had suggested to add feature to export the solution to one note or ms word, and the new update has provided option to copy solution to clipboard. Yes it's really helpful. But still after pasting the equation to other program, formatting is not maintained, kindly consider the suggestion of direct export to word or one note. Thank you. Deserve five star.

I think this app is absolutely amazing, I've downloaded this during the lockdown season, I needed quick answers to my maths assignment and this app did just that, it's pretty simple to use, not glitchy. I definitely recommend to people who need a little bit of an extra helping hand if tutors are not affordable and it's great to check and see if you've already completed your maths work but want to check if the answers are right. I would wholeheartedly recommend this a solid 10/10!!

It is really an amazing software. But sometimes it does some problems to solve maths and it can't solve some type of maths. Such as function (Higher Math), Coordinate geometry etc. So I think very quickly it will be solved. But at all it's really amazing and interesting app.😉😉😏😌

The image recognition and step by step explanation of this app is great. But the feels too small and doesn't contain many features and symbols. This is the only Android app that i found can solve simultaneous equations and other complex equations, but, this feature is limited to handwriting. It really needs a keyboard update.

Nice app to check your answers and get the solution if you have any doubts. You can also play quizs and learn from videos. You can get different methods of solving the problems. You also get the graphs. Even if there is a sum and the solution is not understood by your level still it gives the answer and we can learn from that. I like it. The only problem is it can't understand word problems in camera. I think it can't understand at all. You should scan the equation. It'll be nice if they fix it.

it... Works. That's not me being suprised, it was made by Microsoft, and I'm genuinely impressed that they have managed to create an algorithm that can take an image and solve an equation in it. THATS AMAZING! It's very useful AND isn't just for students to cheat as It shows how they do it. Very good but not five stars because the app could be laid out sliiightly better. But other than that perfection.

THE BEST MATHS SOLVING APP I HAVE EVER SEEN!! Its awesome and it recognizes problems very quickly and if it doesn’t, it tries to help you in every way possible! Very useful for students and also teachers! I love this app, its very helpful and it shows the proccess of the math problem as well as the answer. You can not only scan it, you can type it and also type it! The keyboard you are given to type the equation is very clear and we can type equations as well! Very helpful and love the app!

Edit: The issue from my original review seems to be fixed as I haven't encountered it recently. Original review: It's great...when it works. On a lot of the more different integration problems it just gives the error "Something went wrong, please try again." I assume it times out or something but it makes this app useless half the time. That's the only issue this app has.

This has really helped me help my kids with their math homework. Math was never my strongest subject in school and it's not my children's either. This app is great because it breaks each math problem down into a step by step solution that you are able to visualize. There are different options for entering each math problem which is fantastic. This app has made math a much less frustrating topic for both my family and I. Thanks Microsoft!! I wish this app existed when I was in school.

It just stopped working. I rated it 5 stars at firs, cuz it's a great app. But recently it just stopped working. It let's me scan, type, and draw, equations, but ehr I submi it, it just says "there was a problem. Try again later" I honestly expected way more from Microsoft. Everything they do these days is basically stupid. Hullo windows 11!🙄 I hope that in the future Microsoft (aka majorcrash) will remakr the great products that they once had. Hullo windows 7!

Amazing app but Im having trouble inputting two equations to solve simultaneous equations as I cant seem to find the button for it. EDIT 15/4/2020 : Thanks for adding the 'next line' button, allowing for simultaneous equations question to be input 😁 Current problem is that the app seems laggy compare to before and when going to 'notes' section, the tab below (bookmark,history,examples) are cut off from the screen.

Seems to function really well for algebraic equations including graphing, and it even gives you multiple examples of how to solve any equations you give it with the step by step option for you to view. Highly recommend for any students struggling with mathematics or just someone who doesn't want to do the calculations themselves in their daily job.

At the moment, just using this for fun but how I wish it had been around when I was at school. Personally, I'm a realcalc user but if scientific calculators or just maths fill you with dread but you have to solve problems, this makes it easier especially with a Tab and Pen, just write out your sum and watch it get answered. Well done Microsoft, a really useful free tool to help people with a concept many struggle to use.
