Questions about security. Why do you need a share menu option if all members authorized to view are, well, members and are authorized and can view already. Why is there a Bing advertisement on the main page? Is this a secure site or not? Plus there is no delete option on any folder or file for the owner. Who needs the accretion of old stuff when the new stuff supercedes it? Otherwise works fine...mostly.
Really hard to manage documents, cannot download or open easily, every simple action demands a tortuous and unintuitive workaround. Trying to reinvent file management and making the tool useless at best and infuriating most of the time
It's a good way to have a mobile database for my workplace, but I can't stand the in-app navigation. If you press the normal back button on your phone, or the back page button in a browser, it goes back to the main page. It should just go back to the last folder you were in.
I was unable to add a guest tenant, so I could not access the content I needed. I tried using the SharePoint URL as a signin URL and tapped submit, but it just sat there (no failure message or progression)
Not very intuitive. Missing information compared to web and unable to add information on shared calendar. Calendar out of sync with Web. Not a useful app for us.
A handy app, if you work in a team. It is excellent companion to Teams, especially in file sharing and collaborative work over documents. The bad thing, you cannot use it if you are site owner in one tenant and guest in other tenant. You cannot switch tenants as easily as in Teams. Here you simply cannot and you're bound to browser, or simply cannot do that.
After update won't launch on Surface Duo, displays "Sharepoint keeps stopping". Erasing cache/app data didn't help. When app used to work, it didn't let open OneDrive links.
This is terrible compared to the actual desktop site. You can't find anything and it's a hodgepodge of links.... Nothing but a mess! MS needs to scrap this and create something useful and user friendly.
Directory trees cannot be navigated easily. Cannot upload files. Most advanced options just open site with mobile browser inside app. Completely useless appification that should be used directly through browser.
I cannot even begin to understand, let alone explain how badly designed this app is. Without shortcuts for sharing, the back button brings you home, the search function is broken, is slow, the UI is inconsistent. It is amazing that a company like Microsoft can allow such a mediocre piece of software roam the play store. Every time, I end up going to the browser and requesting the desktop site. Disgraceful.
Sharepoint is an interesting concept, but has always fallen short of expectations. I like having document sharing, group news, etc. In one place. However, the new "improvements" originating from one of the recent updates adds issues to using the application. When the program opens, it turns the screen to default for phones. It ignores Androids "auto-rotate" option for no apparent reason, and I use it on a tablet. File navigation is also clunky, and folder unloading does not work.
Microsoft have a singular ability to overlook the most basic functionality a user might want. Even asking for feedback in the app forces me to go to user voice, where I get to discover years of feedback from frustrated users, unaddressed, with the option of entering my email address, which I don't want to do. SharePoint is a file storage service, so I don't know, just guessing here, but I might want to be able to see all my files and folders without having to do a search?
A deep breath of hot garage. abysmal file management/navigation. For example, I click into the documents within a site, then pick a folder and click down into a sub-folder. Then one more level to another sub-folder (full of jpg and png images, in this case). Great, I've arrived. Now I click to preview the first image and get a nice full view of it with two options to share or view details. That's fine, but a button or swipe to view the next/previous file would be nice here. So I use the android back button to take a step back and it drops me all the way back to the main sharepoint start page. WHAT?! Note, there's no on-screen, in-app back button from the image preview. so if I want to view more than one file, I have to navigate back into the site, then the folder and sub-folder and so on? I tried this a few times with the same result after restart and quit to use OneDrive instead, which worked fine. aside: I also attempted the same task described above in the mobile browser version of sharepoint. the image preview was unusable, glitching with the keyboard expanding and retracting continually. (dolphin browser)
This app is unfinished at best and evidently gets very little love from Microsoft. It's missing "no brainer" functionality, such as the ability to share files and documents! It has bugs, such as some kind of race condition that prevents links from opening pages at times. Site icon loads sporadically. Moreover, when viewing a SharePoint page in Google Chrome on Android offers far better document library usability and features than Microsoft's own native app, you've got a problem.
Pretty nifty little file sharing web server, you can basically make a website and I give you a URL. I enjoy it it's good for sharing with teams and collaboration
I downloaded it for work on my Surface Duo but I cannot even open it. It just immediately crashes.
In general this app works pretty well but there are some glitches. For example, my theme color keeps switching randomly between yellow and blue (the correct color is yellow). When working with lists there are some glitches, like for some reason when editing a list item, it will not pull any lookup fields, they just show up as 'null'. I have seen a glitch a few times where when editing a list item, for a 'choice' column, it shows the choices for an adjacent column not the one being edited. &More
Except that it's Microsoft, its difficult to believe how bad this app really is. If you have two SharePoint/OneDrive accounts, this app will not enable you to navigate the simple folder structures and find what you are looking for. Someone in Microsoft knows this, hence the new 'find' feature that still doesn't go nearly far enough. How hard can such simplicity be?
Too much clicking to get to the things you want to have accessible at hands. Frels like yet another mobile app rushed to the market with no more than 40% completion.
So I used to have lots of errors. Glitches and all that. I reinstalled the app then it started working. If you have issues then just reinstall it.
Dynamic sharing and simple cloud storage. The very best of the bunch I have used. Very powerful.
The app won't open on brand new surface duo 2. Cleared cache. Cleared data. U installed. Reinstalled. Still won't open.
App doesn't update documents. I can't rely on it, especially for things like schedules, which makes it basically useless
I would love to rate this app higher if two changes were made: 1. Ability to link and sync Sharepoint Mobile to Outlook Mobile. I work in construction and am in the field approx. 75% of the time so streamlined on the go access is huge. 2. Ability to create and edit calendar items via Sharepoint Mobile. Our corporate schedule is dynamic so I need app capabilities to match. If these changes are already in play I'd love to know. My initial research thus far yields ittle. Many thanks, T.-
User experience is horrible. PowerPoint presentations are always in present mode and you can't got to a specific page. Going back from anything brings you back to the homepage. Switching from portrait to landscape takes you out of presentations. This app is just an afterthought, you're better off using a tablet, laptop or desktop.
A great app I can see all pinned channels I can sort files I can apply filter and it also works great in the website and even the changes I make in the app stays in the website too😀😀😊
Simple, it's not working as it should, as in connecting to other parts of the MS O365 Suite. Try attaching a file from a SharePoint document store in an Outlook email, good luck! Search the web on how to do it and all not working, many complaints. This does not tie in to the whole move from OneDrive to SharePoint, OneDrive was already crippled in In-House sharing of files which was at the time good replacing a file server. A simple allow a file to be sent by email without having to download it to a mobile device then attach it first is ridiculous.
Thank goodness my organization is going to the OnLine version. Game changer as the end users in large organization just need the app.
Very frustrating, our school migrated over to microsoft due to the corona crisis and all the notes are uploaded here on SharePoint. The website is easy to use and user friendly but the app is the just the opposite. I can no where see the pinned channels and searching for a file is pain in the _. Using the site on a mobile device is kinda crappy and this app is utterly disappointing. Needs to be more user-friendly! Hard to navigate .\ _ /.
Setting incomplete. I cannot upload files and send them to other users because Sharepoint denies access. Moreover, if I go on the app, the setting does not have an option for "Site Permissions" like they explain on their what to do's. The settings may have changed from the uploads, I don't know, but I need to send my files one way or another.
