Microsoft Solitaire Collection

I've been playing the Collection for over 5 years. At the beginning I couldn't even do the Freecell medium. The games have sharpened my mind and now I can do Expert. This month I completed all challenges and I'm sure that if I continue when I get older (I'm 60 now) I won't have as many problems with memory or mental agility.

I've been playing this game for a while. Now, the ads are completely covering the site and there's no way to continue game play. I've installed and reinstalled to no avail. Basically, if you don't want to purchase, you can't play. *Update... Problem resolved! But constant video ads is still annoying. *Update... Something appears to have corrupted the game for many users. My Android phone works fine, but my Android tablet keeps experiencing very slow loading, lockups, crashes, and 101 errors.

Too many ads! First there are the 30 second ads every so often in between games, which I tolerated fairly well, but now there are ads that sit right on the game board, and half cover the bottom menu, obviously in an attempt to have you accidentally click it. And there are ads woven in everywhere else too. It's an overly aggressive and sleezy ad implementation style. The games themselves are fun. But the ads are driving me away.

You NEED to sort this out. I've paid for a year of no ads but once an hour I get an ad playing despite this. I have to force close the game for it to re-sync and realise I have premium. This happens way too often and has nothing to do with my internet as it's fine. £10 a year to still get an ad an hour is pretty disgusting. 1 star until it's fixed.

While the solitaire games are fun, the connection to my account is not, and frequently interferes with my experience. I ponied up the annual fee to block ads, but I still get them because the game occasionally forgets that I'm a premium account, and then it bugs me to resubscribe, even though I've never canceled. Once it starts doing that, the only way to relog into my so-called premium account is to shut the game down entirely and reopen it.

I really enjoy this game but I have two comments on why I'm not giving it 5 stars. I have a hard time believing the total times on the event game, considering that the amount of games and difficulty seem impossible to match the time posted. I have been unable to play the game on several occasions because of getting an error code on not being connected to the internet. The directions haven't helped at all. I look forward to play it each day.

I loved this app, having the different solitare games in one place was awesome. Then they added A TON of ads. That was fine at first since you could back out of them. Well, they updated it again and now you can't even back out of them. Super annoying. We should be able to skip or exit the ads

I have no problem with the game. I really enjoy playing Microsoft Solitaire Collection. I play it for hours but now the ad comes up with a snake and I have to watch this thing for 30 seconds. I hate snakes. Now I am waiting for it to go away. It is sad that this review is for the game but getting bad reviews because of the ads.I also have a problem that an ad for another game comes on for 30 seconds . I couldn't believe my eyes when a cartoon mother and little girl walk in their home and find the father in bed with another person. The father then throws the child and the mother out the door in the snow. They go to an old house and the game is suppose to pick how to help them stay warm and safe. I don,t play much anymore because these ads are abusive and wrong. To bad because I do enjoy the game but in order to play I have to put up with these ads. Just wrong

Only 3 stars as this game has two major drawbacks imo: 1). You have to pay a SUBSCRIPTION to remove the adverts. This is pretty ridiculous.. for most other games it's just a one time purchase. Feels like a rip off.. would happy pay if it's a one off but certainly not doing monthly / yearly payments for this. 2). The offline play options are pitiful..you can only do easy difficulty on the standard games, not other difficulty levels or challenges or whatever.

I used to love this game. I especially love all the daily challenges and events they have... however this was before all the constant ads. I eventually decided to cave and paid and still keep seeing them unless I constantly restore purchase... as a multi billion dollar organization you'd think Microsoft would have the money to fix bugs but clearly they don't.

Uninstalling. Have used this app for years, but now the adds are so intrusive and the app constantly stops working it's impossible to use. Some adds can't be closed, even after you've spent more than 30 seconds watching it, the X button takes you to the Play Store instead and I have to turn my phone off and on to get back to the games.

Game is an entertaining way to kill time. But the ads are getting longer and more frequent now 30 sec when used to be 10. You also can't play this in public places because the ads and the game won't let you mute the sound. Sure you can mute it while the ad plays but once 30 sec timer expires sound is back on. Annoying

Update: removed a star for frequent (several times daily), irritating messages attempting to upsell unnecessary "Game booster" software. Pros: Good gameplay. Decent customization and animation. Cons: Still get occasional ads despite paying (ads play at full volume although game sounds are muted, require closing and reopening the game to stop). Irritating frequent push notifications. Have to pay extra for access on phone and laptop (shame on Microsoft for nickel and diming).

Microsoft Solitaire Collection without ads is still displaying ads. I thought the subscription price of 9.99 yearly was reasonable for one device. I purchased through Google Play store and have seen a few ads pop up between games!. I can not reach any support at Microsoft or Play Store. VERY DISAPPOINTING and want a refund if a solution can not be applied to keep all ads off my Solitaire game .

I love the daily challenges on this. The ads only pop up every now and then so it isn't too annoying. Lately I've been having an issue where the game just shuts down, there seems to be a specific trigger each time. This time it shut down just as I completed the bonus game and now it comes up to resume - but shuts down each time I press it. Doesn't happen too often but when it does I can't play for a few days at a time. Please fix!

Buyer beware, even after purchasing notices still pop up asking if you want to purchase premium membership. There seems to be a bug with the app when you first turn on you device and the app needs to sync with the network. Rather then verify locally if the app was purchased and if network sync is not immediate, the developers assume you haven't purchased the app. You have to watch adds before you can login again. Clearly marketing and sales are more important. Look to other solitaire apps

I play this game often and do like it but had enough of the offensive ads. Payed to subscribe and with in less than 3 hours said it was expired. Update, now if I don't fully close the app in a 24 hrs period, it prompts me that my account has expired and I see ads. Close the app and restart and my account works as expected. Very repeatable developers. Other than that app is a good game.

I like the game, but would like better fireworks or other animations when you win levels and would like to see more levels not just Bronze, Silver and Gold, they should add additional levels like Platinum, Titanium and others. Better than just adding a level number to being Gold. Gets boring being Gold and just getting a higher number each time you win.

MS Solitaire is the only game I play on my phone right now. This might change soon. The commercials used to be shown every 3 hands, which is tolerable but recently they are appearing after EVERY hand. Keep it up Microsoft and you will lose a faithful player. Make the game a one time purchase to get rid of the commercials and I would probably buy it, depending on the price.

*UPDATE: Can occasionally play on PC now. Rotation issue has been fixed, so much easier to play on phone!* This game apparently does not work with Norton software, so I can't play it on my PC. I can play on my phone, but cards don't rotate, so it is difficult to see and move them.

I love the games and I paid for NO ADS but the blasted ads keeps coming up. I thought maybe my year was up and tried to pay again but it told me I had already paid my subscription. Edited..... 5/24/2022 Still getting ads! No response from Microsoft! I've this program (& paid) for NO ADS) for over 12 years! The ads are getting worst!

Played great for about a week. Started wanting to push update so I gave in to update. ALL ads play at full volume even when volume is off in the app. Adds have a volume control but ads blurt out at the end of the 30 seconds just to made the annoyance factor high. It worked as I will never pay for a game that uses this tactic to force me to buy the app. Installed and will not install anymore from this developer.

For some reason this app links to my spare laptop I hardly ever use, levels around 50 or less, instead of the one with 300+ levels in all games. (Same username) For me, the cards are too small but the main issue is that I have to be connected to internet to play, which seriously eats into my data allowance. There are equally good solitaire games I can play offline, even when the internet is down or out of range. Uninstalling.

Have been playing this for a while now and its good, it's offline and really makes your brain think. But one thing is that when I play pyramid and I know that I have the required card to finish this, then it instantly makes it look like you can't solve this pack(it's from a random pack) so, I'd be very thankful if this is gonna get fixed. All over though, good work on the game but it could improve a bit more:)

Love this app but I have to constantly restore purchases or I'll see ads. I paid for it, I shouldn't have to constantly restore it after being forced to watch an ad. Also the cheaters are ridiculous. Not to mention when you get the wrong time on the daily competition and you haven't even started.
