Middle-earth Name Generator

I think it's really fun, a cool app, and they've obviosly done a lot of work on it. Full marks from me!

Cool idea, but a little dissappointed with the redundancy.

The names... Not so good. Cool idea though!

"YAWN" Tried my name and got a mouth full of gibberish. I tried my middle name and got the same letters! No matter what name I put in, there were only a few choices to pick from, and none made any sense. One thing that they did well was write each name in the characters own 'language.

Calligraphy and fun, been using it for at least 10 seconds now and looking forward to more, thanks for not requiring unnecessary permissions!

Love it, and use it often. Confused why sometimes I get the same elf name for different names, but maybe it's a translation thing

Not really a helpful app just takes up too much space to install.

I like the app but I wish it would show you how to pronounce the names or if the app could pronounce it for you, then that would be great. Other than that the app is great.

If you want a transliteration tool this isn't it. If you want a translation tool this isn't one. This is a list of names with alphabetical lookup. Some of the names having been rendered in a Tolkienesk font. Useful only as a dictionary of names that have already been created by JRRT. Nothing original here.

I give only 3 stars. Not due to bad app but this is a name translator not a name generator.

Its really cool to know what your name is in the Lord of the rings but they need to add dragon tongue like smaug is dragon tongue please update with dragon tongue please!

Sadly it looked cool but does not work at all, just shows the same shet no matter what you type in id give it 0 stars if i could

I really love it because I like having my own Middle-Earth name.

Run a D&D game. This is just what I was looking for.

It's a fun game for anyone who love The middle Eartha saga. Worth a go.

You can put anything in and it will make up some random name. I put in #s and it came up with one. What's their name formula? There isn't one.

Put in any name and get the same translation, oh what fun :-\

Why is the my name the same word as bird, song & oh, my grandson who's name is nothing like mine? Also, the word for hammer is the same as for hunter... just to name a few. Is there a limit of translatable words?
