Midtown is great and has amazing prices, but man, this app experience is overwhelming disappointing. It's clunky, unresponsive, and the search function is so poor. Hard to find what you want and there are severe limitations to filters. Wow.
description of my experience, I type in a comic series, loading took about 31 secs to show back issues with the # of comics in that option. I clicked and 54 secs of loading, it shows the publisher of this comic. Again, I clicked on it, so 1 minute and 17 seconds waiting for it to load, the list of comics show up, I click the add to add to cart and a pop up comes up with nothing on it, I clicked away and more loading happens and then nothing was added to my cart. that's were in at now.
I like the app when it works but don't you dare leave the app on running in the background. It will freeze your phone. You have to completely close out Everytime. Just hope someone doesn't call you or text durning that time
If you're planning to download this to take advantage of the "20% off your first order" promotion they advertise on their site, don't bother. The discount only applies to full-price items, which aren't very common, and I was also informed that it only applies to a single item on the order, which is very deceptive. The app is also very cumbersome to use, as many others have pointed out.
I wanted to take advantage of the 20% discount for using the app for the 1st time, I try to checkout and it asks me for a code on my card. I've tried all manner of numbers I can possibly think of that would pertain to my card and none work. I used their help service on their website and the person there said that it's a known issue and the only solution is to not use the app. Um, OK? Why put it on the store and advertise a deal when you know it doesn't work?
This is, by far, the slowest app I've ever used. It takes well over 5 minutes to load screens when checking out. Then the app crashes. Please fix.
Can't order gift cards. Also, app could really use an update. Got an error just browsing around. Clunky navigation, not very intuitive or attractive.
New app set up is garbage. Had to change my review from 5 to 2 stars. Fix your app, please
Apps ok, I spend about 150 a month in comics and most come damage. They dont even bother putting a fragile label or use a box that saids it and make you pay for shipping on damage returns. For a big company midtown customer service is horrible.
You still. Repeat the same message, more proof that you don't care about customer service, all you care about that you are right & the money. Respond to a previous feedback. Even if it's cheap shipping, you don't ship it in an envelop, even if it's only for reading. This is tell me that you only care about money & you don't care about customer.
Not a great app I downloaded it but never used it because the website is so much easier plus I had 20 books in my cart on the website but they wouldn't carry over to the app when I logged in.
Pull lists are broken, can't select in store as it bugs out saying you don't have a shipping address. Can't filter weekly releases by issue #.
It's more of a "popculture" than a comic shop that has its owners way too involved in using their store for their personal politics. Buy from mycomicshop instead if you can. Even ebay is preferable to them. App is very clunky and broken. Poor customer service.
You're lucky if the app loads and then they have a garbage server that takes minutes to run IF it works. And for a business in a capitalism, they sure dont want to make it easy to give them money.
If the app allowed you to select in store pick up I would rate it higher. The website allows it but the app doesn't.
I downloaded the app and it won't open...after five minutes "loading," I uninstalled from my phone. Too bad...I was excited about this app.
App is falling apart, losing viewing list on independent list, and now the in-store list is not working
I installed yesterday, tried to make purchase, it kept saying cc declined. I tried 4 different cards, all with credit available, same thing everytime. deleted it today
Just installed. You don't get as much info as you do the actual website but other than that it a fun way to browse and shop.

slow, server errors, stalls. more could go wrong who knows when it will happen. garbage app
I love the app but it hasn't been working the last few days. It keeps saying "Server not Responding"
the App used to work fine, now... It Takes FOREVER to load, if it even ever decides to connect
Super annoying notifications every day, several times a day.
Love this Comic Book App & the Actual Store. Always find things I need & of Course that I WANT LOL. GREAT SELECTIONS & DEALS AS WELL!! 💚💯👍
I'm going to rate this app like I was rating Jason from customer service: Fat, lazy, out of breath, doesn't work properly, and a waste of life.
I started shopping with the app because it didn't have the inhospitable quirks that the website did, but now the new build just brings them all over. When you click an item for details, you shouldn't have to re-scroll the whole list again because backing out throws you to the top. It's like this company paid someone to redesign their site, and regardless how crummy the design is they keep using it out of stubbornness so they don't have to admit it was a bad investment.
