I love the convenience, but deposits are difficult. You have to back out the $0.01 to enter your amount and my keyboard covers it up. I usually have to try 2 or 3 times to get the images to take. Might be nice if one image was ok, you just had to retake the other one. Also, when the images don't work, you have to re-enter everything.

The app has greatly improved. Depositing checks is more user friendly, you can view pictures of previously deposited checks, there's a fill in box when transferring money to explain the transaction. Only change I would suggest is when transferring money between accounts that the user would be able to see the 4 digit number of the accounts as currently only the current balance is listed.

Definitely a big step backwards. A sad case of solutionism at its finest. Nothing in particular was wrong with the old app's interface. Trying to make things "more modern" for the sake of that only is a bad strategy. Either redesign the app from scratch or leave the UX/UI flows the same. Trying to change these sorts of things piecemeal never works out. Also, updating an app shouldn't automatically mean having to change my password and re-registering my device for using my fingerprint reader.

This app is easy to use and straight forward. When it first came out I didn't like it as much but since making bug fixes and updating things it's stellar! Really convenient especially during this stay at home order to complete my banking mobile. I also like that it alerts you when the app is running in the back ground for an extra security precaution.

Absolute worst app. Never let's you sign in, just keeps spinning. They limit the amount you can mobile deposit. Mobile deposit within the app is the worst I have ever used. Never works and makes you try several times to take pictures and sometimes works but most of the time it doesn't. I wish I could have given it no stars, bc that's what it deserves.

I would have rated it 5 stars but there was a recent change to the deposit function and it automatically takes the photo, sometimes before the image is aligned. Then it gives a message that the deposit is not allowed because the image is blurry! Please go back to allowing the user to select the image. Also, it is annoying that the "1" is in the deposit amount!

It won't log me in my first attempt. It freezes. I have to back out of app completely and try again before getting into accounts. It makes me enter each deposit and pics of checks twice before it accepts it. So it glitches 50% of the time. Otherwise I've always been ok with Midwest One so I can deal with the minor inconveniences.

Better than previous app, but still needs a bit of improvement to be easy to use and functional. Need to select an account if there is only one account is wasteful. Also there is a preset dollar amount that needs to be deleted before one can input correct amount, so lacks efficiency there too.

The app is always having some kind of issues. The past two days I hadn't been able to check my account because it just kept loading, tried fast balance, still nothing, then tried the website only for it to not work. Almost everytime I log in it tells me i need to verify myself, even though I literally use the app daily. Please fix your app. Its very frustrating when I need to check my balance and it won't let me because "an error". This app has been nothing but issues.

If you want the bare bones basics, this app is great! WHEN IT DECIDES ITS GOING TO WORK. 3/4ths of the time when you open the app it FREEZES, and no amount of uninstalling and reinstalling works. IT doesnt know whats wrong, and its happened with all my phones. Im currently using a BRAND NEW phone and im having this issue. The bank as a COMPANY is absolutely fantastic, its their APP which is trash. Your better off calling or just going to your branch and checking via ATM

The app isn't as user friendly as the old app. And I don't like that I can no longer view the payoff (with interest) of my ddl. I had to contact the bank to get the interest amount. Which defeats the purpose of using the app. Also, the app doesn't say if you're locked out. And all of my account nicknames went away. I had to go back in and re-enter them, but can't see them from the main account screen. I can only see them if I click on the account and then want more information on that account.

Slow to login or maneuver within app. Sometimes it takes multiple times to login. Then sometimes because I've tried to login and close the app down, it will say I need to confirm my account using a call or text. Except you can't get out of the app to get the info and still be on the screen in the app to confirm the security code. Only way to fix is to login from a computer or go to the mobile site. Terrible design flaw.

Mobile deposit is a little dated compared to other banking apps but I have no issues with images not being accepted like other users. Just the extra steps of having to clear out the default amount each time and not being able to see the deposits without completely leaving the app and coming back in.

**EXTREMELY** unreliable. When it works, it's great! Simple user interface, good features - the problem is 3-4 times a week I will try to sign in and it says that there is an unexpected error/I cannot be logged in at this time. It's EXTREMELY concerning when I need to confirm a payment has processed and I can't log in. Another annoyance is that it constantly asks for 2FA codes, despite me using my fingerprint to login. I should not have to verify so frequently, especially with biometric logins.

Why all the updates and so many issues? Would give a negative plus stars if able, lets me log in but not see transactions, a box pops up stating technical issues and to call 800#. Uninstalled/reinstalled 4 times and STILL the box pops up and unable to see transactions. If you are going to "go green" with your banking app, at the very MINIMUM make sure ot runs correctly. Fix it, you have WAY too many bad reviews for something so simple as a basic banking app.

Transferring between accounts is awful now. Before you saw instantly with one click that is was completed. Now you have to assign it and back in and then go to transfers to see your true balance. Hate the new changes. There are more but difficult to explain. Very user UNfriendly.

As many have stated, when it works, its great. However, more than once, when I open the app, it takes forever to access the login screen. When it does load, it doesn't remember my username and finally, when I enter the login info, it again just spins. I wish American Trust never sold to them. Things were much better before MidwestOne took over.

Frustrating. Why $.01- it's an extra step to erase. Screen doesn't flip consistently. Seems like an awkward app you got off the shelf. Other banks are far smoother. I just looked at the other reviews. It appears a computer is reading our comments and not people because just about every comment by the bank sounds exactly the same. BTW, I've not seen any changes. November-still the same

Worthless! Problematic ever since update. It won't recognize my user name or password. Have to re-enter it every time. Certainly not "fast check." ... And Yes, I have contacted customer service .and it is still worthless ever since the update.

App is easy to use and understand. Plenty of options. Just don't understand what has changed and why it can't seem to add. Consistently says that I have 50 or 60 more then i actually do when everything is listed. Will rate higher when it can add correctly.

The new version of the app is more secure...it's so secure you can barely use it. Even after you enter your password it wants to send a text code to your phone to continue the login process. It doesn't recognize your phone so it won't send a text and instead you're asked a series of questions about your life and past. There's no place to verify your phone after entering all the details of your past life to gain access to your account.

I am happy that serious improvements have been made to the applications GUI. I am impressed with the better functionality, as well as not being greeted with the auto log out pop up when I just shut down the app and open it later.

Was wonderful before the update, now it runs slowly, and feels like a forced attempt to look "modern". The new layout is not only confusing but unnecessary. If it wasn't broken why was it "fixed".

Barely usable. Down several times a week, usually when I need it. Sometimes won't accept the correct password. This app has been broken one way or another for years. I'm beginning the process of migrating to a new bank. I need a usable app.

I'm having the same problem as everyone else. It was great until it updated. Now I can't log in to use it. Something is messed up with this app. 9/29/20 So it was working shortly after my last review and now it's the same problem all over again. Automatically updated over night and now it won't recognize my username again. I'm tired of this. I'll probably remove the app and free up memory. Too bad. It was nice. 10/15/20 It's now been several weeks and nothing is fixed and they don't care. C YA.

Overall the app does what it needs to do. I would prefer a better UI, but it functions well as is. I only use it to check balances and transfer funds between accounts so not a lot of use on all features.
