It was a pretty great game until last update and after the last few characters they introduced. The new update dropped me a few levels. I don't play or pay for games that drop me levels because of bad ideas by the staff. I pay to move up. On top of that, the most recent character is over charged. It's ridiculous to play against. I'm now going to delete this game because it's turned into garbage. For other reasons besides just the ones I listed. It's been a fall from grace.
The game is ok, I guess. Just wish the advertised game was what installed. Seems a little false to give these screenshots to bait you in and switch to a totally different game. Edit: The response was underwhelming. Seriously, it isn't hard to use various images from the game rather than pretending this is the biggest aspect of the game. Actually fix the problematic advertising and I'll change my review/rating.
Updated to 1 star because the game keeps getting harder and I keep losing progress . Simple strategy with a lot of variety. Generally fun. This week, however, something changed and with the same team I dropped 3 leagues in 2 days. I'm facing stronger opponents now than I ever did at higher levels. Whether it's a change to matchmaking or a hero rebalance, it's been very discouraging this week to lose months of progress.
Playable without spending money, but pretty annoying with the constant interruptions. Hard to tap on the right part of the screen sometimes, seems like a mix of high and lo quality assets. Puzzles are way too easy, combat has some actual depth if you can stand the tedious ads. Could be great with a different revenue source.
The game is nothing like the images shown. The main game is strategic battle game where you pick heroes and combine them to challenge others. It is way faster to advance if you pay to play, but it is doable without paying. You just have play constantly and get lucky when opportunities come up. I enjoy playing this whenever I get a little time to kill throughout the day.
The ACTUAL game, solid, alot of fun. The 1 star is due to the extremely misleading advertisement. At best, the tower climbing is an optional mini game. I really do not understand why they don't just advertise the real game. You can tell alot of the assets within the game are taken from other projects, the art styles are all over the place. Actual game, fun. What is advertised is a straight lie.
I downloaded it to try the tower challenge that they advertise in commercials. As I expected, the towers are such a small part. You wouldn't be able to make a game just of the tower. Fortunately the main game can be fun too. Collect cards to fight against other players or play a story. I find I get stuck in the story a lot until I get more powerful cards. Encouraging paying for draws. No ads at least. Better than I thought, fun for a little bit until you hit the paywall.
Do not waste your time with this trash. It's very easy at start, and suddenly impossible to beat any level.. Unless you use the credit card,and a lot. And while you do that keep in mind that the vip level you gained from spending will be gone next week. Also enormous amount of pop ups in game to spend money. 1 star and uninstalled, it's a trash game.
Its a fun game for a few months. I've spent on the game, but past a certain point, you'll need to spend ( alot ) to move up. I've been stuck in the same rank/stage level for 2 months. It will cost me over 100usd still to move forward and I'm a daily player. The game is fun, but I can't justify having to constantly spend to get anywhere. I'm on a few other games and I spend probably 500usd a month on them. This game though.... to make even small progress beyond a certain point is $$
Over 90 days of game play in currently. Definitely pay based game if you want to build quickly, with a ton of in app ads for the game itself. I find these ads extremely annoying. Glitches a lot. Especially if you have weak internet access. Auto fight mode is ridiculous in its moves at times placing "heroes" in illogical places. Literally could have placed a hero in an open column with no enemies to finish of opponent, only to place hero in different column and end up loosing battle.
I love this game and leveling up my characters. However, it seems that some of the recent updates are changing my status in the game. I was at league 10 when I played a few days ago, and found myself at the bottom of League 12 when I logged in today. It really bums me out when it took so much time to reach League 10, just to lose all that ground. Please let us know if the updates are going to keep lowering our statuses in the game.
Game play is meant to keep you engaged but not challenged. If you spend real world money you will dominate if you casually play you will most often lose and be frustrated. Cartoon characters are well drawn and have individualized movements overall. Regualr updates add additional characters with more and more powerfull skills to "win" and buy upgrades for. Overall if you are looking for a game to play for awhile without spending money this is NOT your game.
At the start it was ok. But with every update there is feeling that lags are increasing. You have to restart app more often because of it is slowing down and also be ready that ocassionally it will restart before the end of the long battles in PvP or Dark Tower. No battle attempt is returned. But the most disappointing was my recent drop from 9-10th league borderline to 12th for no reason. For such jump down I had to lose like 15 battles in a row, what did not happen. Upset, not a fun.
I got a new phone (still an android) and went to login and it won't let me. Not happy that I've been forced to start over when I already had an established account. Poor timing and lack of response when i contacted for help to resolve the login issue. I have followed every step they provide to recover my account, but still forced to start a new account. I do not recommend this game if this is how hard it is to login.
New updates keep you interested and not just getting curb stomped, honestly, it's a really fun game and nothing is too broken IMO. However I still can't process in the story and I'm at the point where you level so slowly you have to spend a ton of money. Update: they made a new update that set be back from rank 8 to rank 10. The frustrating part is I'm now facing guys harder than I was facing in 8! I'm back to rank 11 with no hope of winning. Just to keep losing.. thanks for breaking your game
I enjoy this game more than I should! I have even spent money a few times with no regrets. I've played for over a year now, almost daily. Lately I've found that I'm stuck and my progress is very slow, players beat me almost all the time. Is it our currency, or is games just that pricy? I work hard to collect my gems and earn the benefits, unfortunately I'm starting to lose interest. Pls bring back the Coliseum to practice. I enjoy the archers mini game; other ones seems pointless.
It's a pretty standard hero-collection gacha game. It does have some interesting mechanics revolving around hero positioning and trigger mechanics. But it's not the game suggested by the ads; those head-to-head number matchups are an unimportant interstitial feature. Also, I experienced frequent crashes.
I have been playing this game for a few years but it is definitely a pay to win game. Many of the new characters are so OP once they are in play the game is over. VERY unbalanced characters make everyone have the same or similar armies and advancement is difficult unless you pay. Game was much more fun a year or 2 ago. Many characters need rebalancing or elimination to bring the fun and variety back.
If you don't have deep pockets this games not for you. It's all about the pay to play. The New update makes it so you have to spend more money just to be able to compete with other players. Up Grades are from $5 to $100. Unless you pay you will only be playing for about a week then you hit a wall and it just becomes 😴 boring. Graphics are very good. Game play can be (repetitive) Upgrades are way to expensive. Save your money. By a console game system it's cheaper. LoL
love it! Easy to play, easy to learn. would like a video tutorial on all the abilities the heros have though. Some of the changes have lowered my game rating, example they took away the brawl function and added in these mini games that are just unpleasant to play to say the least. They have NOTHING in common with the actual game play or story mode, at least with the brawl function you could test your builds before jumping into ranked now you don't get that chance...
Pay to win. The game starts fair but as it goes on you need to buy stuff to keep up. You'll be league 18 and fighting cards only attainable at league 15 because they payed for them. It's also a little annoying to lose all matches right after new event starts, because someone who paid got the best event cards before you could earn the basics. How much do they want you to spend? Between 20 and 100 pounds an event. Still a fun game and it's only bugged on me once but I'm a week in and mostly done.
Game is excellent for about 2 weeks or so, then if you don't begin to participate in the pay to play aspect (which is way too expensive by the way) you will come up against an impassible wall. That coupled with the fact that the latest update caused my phone to bog down while trying to play the game made it unbearable. It was a great (2 week or so) run, welcome to the deleted from my device pile. Good luck moving forward.
fun game to play few hours at a time. im geting stuff done fine for free. if you want to level stuff faster or get an event done fast go ahead and pay. every now and then there is diffent events to get free stuff. just got to learn to wait. the tech suport is every helpfull. i had a event that keep crashing on me and they helped stop it from crashing. edit after update: its been hard to play the game when say lost connection on matchs/events/tower and you have to restart the game.
It's OK when it let's me play but it keeps turning itself off. If it keeps doing it I'll uninstall Edit it still turns itself off so now it's dropped to 1 star and uninstalled. Doesn't even last a while before it turns itself off I'd understand if I'd been on for 30 mins to and hour or something. But instead it only lasts 2 battles and I'm early in the game so like 4 minutes it'll do it half way through a battle too. Then it takes longer to load than I get to play just awful.
I'm an everyday player for 8 months or so, and the latest update has made the game too hard to have fun. It went from being challenging to impossibly hard to win. The update was suppose to rebalance the game, but even the side events are now unbeatable unless you spend real money. I don't want to look for a new game, but I guess I have to if I want the satisfaction of winning. Which is why we play games. I don't want to pay to win. I want to have an enjoyable experience, not just loose.
Originally wasn't the game it advertised, so was a little a disappointed, but it turned out to be a good game. It's definitely pay to win / pay to get further quicker, but playing long term can definitely get you there. One thing I don't like is that they're always advertising their "deals" or whatever to encourage spending. If there are whales that often spend, then sure, have that appear for them. But for f2p or little investment players, please have it appear less to none.
NOT THE GAME SHOWN! Although a small part. Good graphics. However, game play starts well then after you gain 5 levels(kinda easy), it gets extremely hard. Like switching from easy to extreme. You must buy packs or purposely lose to get back to a lower level. But then the game progresses extremely slow. It's good for the first week or so before it becomes frustrating.
