I called Tech Support, got someone one the phone right away, my camera did not have the latest firmware update and would not connect, they were able to update it from their end, all i had to do was place the monitor in Standby Mode. The app is at times unreliable do to loading, trying to connect, unable to connect etc.. camera, picture and sound quality are excellent however ( when working )
Would give no stars of it was an option. Miku worked for about 5 months but would always lose connection and we'd have to close out of the app just to reconnect. I like the breathing tracker and never had issues with that part. Now the Miku won't even connect at all. Tried lots of troubleshooting and talking with support. Not much help there, we are ready to just throw the product away. If you're thinking about getting it, you might as well just throw $400 out the window.
This app has been so frustrating for 2 years now. Support is completely unreliable. I have been using the app for 2 years with all the same issues everyone talks about. But now I can't login it says I don't have internet... Yet I do. Support told me to reset the Miku in the app...I can't reset the Miku when I can't login... If you can actually get in to the app seconds can make a difference so waiting 30-60 seconds to fail at connecting and then have to "reconnect" is more than annoying.
I like the breath monitoring feature. However, the connection is EXTREMELY unstable. The app shows "unable to connect" from now and then, and at least for the last whole week for me! Restarting my phone, the device, reinstalling the app and reconnecting to wifi all failed to resume. Quite disappointed to see this happens so often.
App just does not function. I try to view my monitor and it either doesn't work at all or takes several minutes to connect. Also, it will set off a very annoying alarm on my phone, but does not display a notification. So I have to pull up the app to turn it off. If you don't recognize this sound you'll lose your mind not knowing what is happening. This $400 camera is basically a paperweight because the app is so awful. God forbid my children actually have an emergency...
Always has connection issues. Constantly having to remove the device and repair which is super inconvenient in the middle of the night when everyone is sleeping. This app has been a pain since getting about 2 years ago.
Stop Expand To Stop To Close App Once I swipe this app closed the app should be shut down. Having to go to the notification center then expand and or swipe away other notifications for this app to get to expand to stop is simply counter productivite. The app on iPhone is so much easier since all you have to do is swipe away the app. But Android its extremely backwards we're if I forget to do it I kill my battery..this app should not have that ability
Complete garbage of an app and product!!I I'm losing more sleep troubleshooting this crapware. Barely worked for the first couple of months and now just doesn't work. The garbage camera also costs $400 bucks. Complete waste! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
The respiration monitoring is a great feature when the app actually works and allows you to connect. I've had the Miku pro for over a year and it's had issues but I mostly dealt with it for the respiratory monitoring but for at least the tenth time, I'm going through two days and nights without the ability to actual monitor my baby. What's the point? Don't waste your money.
Zero stars. The people that made this should be ashamed of themselves. I hope they go out of business. They are putting babies at risk. It does not work at all, on any level. It might work on iOS but it does not work on Android. I have no idea about the camera or the functionality because the app won't even get past the login screen. I have contacted customer service many times with no luck. Almost all of the reviews are 1 star reviews and I am sure most of those people would also give is zero starts if they could.
For the love of god, fix the connection issues! I've had it disconnect and then take me many tries to get it reconnected. Once connected its a great system, but I'm about to throw it in the trash beccause of the connection problems!
Connection isn't always there. Daily summary isn't instantaneous. Caused battery drain and overheating with my phone. Closing it doesn't actually close it. I go into settings - > apps - > miku and force shutdown after every use now because of the overheating/batt drain issue.
App is complete garbage. Neither of us can connect to the device, regardless of whether using Bluetooth or wireless. The hardware looks cool, too bad the requisite software is flaming pile.
New version, it now requires a force stop to get it to connect with the device.. because frequently it just has a button with reload on it! Thank God I bought another monitor cause this one isn't reliable. More updates, and still not reliable (going in two years now).
Android tablet 5 stars reviews are fake. It is even stated in the Miku support page, the app is not supported by ios and android tablets. I give 2 to stars because the camera disconnects all the time and my wife and I have to restart the connection 2 or 3 times a day. Yes, my wifi is fast, i have fiber and the router is close enough. We had a galaxy S8, a Z flip 3 and now both have a S22 ultra, same issues... writing this review from my tablet, i just tried to connect and it won't...
The app itself wouldn't be so bad ux wise, didn't have many issues setting up the camera. It is just the platform is garbage and overpriced. Basically it cannot stream reliably the feed, every time I look at it, it needs 30 sec to a minute to "reconnect" and then you have to push a button to finally reconnect. At least most of the time the audio is there.
I really wanted to like this app but as others describe the connectivity issues (delay, inability to connect, feed randomly dropping) renders this app extremely frustrating to use, especially when you need to check on your little one ASAP. The rest of the features such as the sleep tracking and event playback work great, but the main functionality is lacking severely.
Not sure why some are having issues. Purchased the Miku Pro and it was very easy to set up. There is a little delay in reconnecting to the video like 4 seconds after turning off the app. Love it that it works with iPad and Android tablets which the other baby monitor likenNanit doesn't support. Also no subscription!
Just purchased this monitor and already it loses WiFi connection constantly even though it has a very high connection. Miku support doesnt really help either. This is not something you should have to deal with when you pay this kind of price.
Miku frequently disconnects. Support blames this on a weak connection to wifi and suggests moving the router closer. In reality, the router placement and signal strength are great using any other wifi device at twice the range. Miku uses a built in signal strength testing "feature" to excuse itself from poor performance place blame on the device it is poorly connected to. The signal is great but Miku's wifi hardware is bad so the app basically lies about signal strength to avoid accountability.
Overall, the app works as advertised, but I have two major complaints. The first is that the app tends to operate in the background with a very heavy processor and data workload. Today alone, I turned off the monitor and closed the app, left the house and an hour later the app had used 28 percent of my battery life and over a gigabyte of data in the background. It's a real issue that costs me money and kills my battery. The second is the unnecessary microphone permissions are a privacy issue.
So many great features from easy install, clear picture quality, reliable, plays lullabies, zoom in capabilities, works off wi-fi so you can check up on baby from anywhere straight from your phone, tracks baby's breathing and sleeping patterns without having to attach anything to baby. Fast delivery. Seller was great to communicate with! Highly recommend.
We just started using the miku pro and although I had a rough start (I couldn't connect the live feed even tho it could detect noise, when I tried to disconnect it from my phone to try to get the feed to work it wouldn't repair with my device for a few days) but once I got it finally repaired with my phone and set up I have loved it. There was no instructions on how to pair your device in the box so I had no clue how to pair my device until I Googled it. App was hard to find in store as well
This monitor is fantastic! Tons of great features. Lullabies and white noise options, monitors breathing, alert options, picture is super clear and you can enlarge the live screen, zoom in and even take photos of my babies. I have twins and 2 monitors set up, one above each crib, I added both devices to the miku app and can toggle between the two screens anytime. Packaging is super chic and comes with all tools required and clear installation steps and the hubs said it was easy to install.
If you want to find a way to waste your money, this is it. The camera takes forever to load, I receive no movement notification while the baby is not in the bassinet, useless and inaccurate breathing pulses. Long story short, avoid this useless device.
Camera view just spins and says trying to connect. Can't see any video or audio even though my husband can on his iPhone. If I try to change any settings the app freezes and I have to force close. We have fiber internet, so I know that's not the problem.
Very unreliable which is exactly what you don't want in a baby monitor. I'd rather have something that is always connected than have any "special features" offered by this brand. Too expensive for these basic issues.
Atrocious on Android. Difficultly connecting on both my android phone and tablet, when it does connect it intermittently drops. Works OK on an iPhone fortunately.
This $400 "baby monitor" has sat unused for months because all I see in the app is a spinning circle and a message reading "Securely connecting to Miku." I've power-cycled and cleared the cache and uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing makes a difference. Save your money, buy a monitor that costs 1/10 the price, and live happily knowing you didn't waste your money on this.
The app sucks, do not buy this monitor. The picture quality of the video is good the analytics section is good, but the app connectivity is just awful. Takes a long time to connect if it does at all, connects and disconnects constantly... I've done all the troubleshooting to fix the issues, but bottom line is when your baby is crying and you want to check on them, you want something quick and reliable to check in on them and this is *not* it. We've had this since Sept 2021.
