I started using this app in 2013 and have always loved it until now. I have been using the paid version for several years, but it no longer backs up the data nor can I export the data to a CSV file for my tax reporting. I've tried emailing support (Chris) several times with NO REPLY. This is a terrible way to treat customers, but do they care? Evidently the answer is NO. WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS, and especially DON'T BUY IT!! What was once great, now seems to be a SCAM.
One of the few apps that allows you use without subscription. Interface is painful to observe, but for some could be nostalgic. Only started to use it today, would add Purpose to each trip as an option, so repeated trips would be easier to enter using Purpose from drop down menu. Again, back then probably was good app now needs massive face-lift to be competitive.
I've been using the paid version of Mileage Tracker for years. It's worked pretty well for a long time. However, as you can tell from other reviews, the product doesn't send or export reports. This functionality is REQUIRED for an application like this. It appears to be some sort of permissions issue that I can't find a setting to change. Additionally, the developer has gone dark with no response to our requests for support. For reference, I'm running a Samsung S20+ running the latest version of Mileage Tracker. It hasn't been updated since February. At this point, I no longer can recommend this product.
I've used this app with no problems for several years, but three of my most recent trips have no mileage attached! The mileage of previous trips using the same device and settings was successfully logged. When I visited the developer's site, there was only a stock image and a clickable link that lead nowhere. Other user reviews have reported sending emails to this developer with no response.
UPDATE ON 3/3/2022 I have sent numerous emails to the company. They don't respond. DO NOT PURCHASE! It used to be a good app. I have been using the paid version. Now, the attached data is EMPTY! DO NOT INSTALL I can record data to the app, BUT, when I send it to my pc to put in my spread sheet, it don't open anymore.
Great app but will no longer export data. Like other posters here I was a big fan of this app but something has gone badly wrong and it no longer exports and no responses. Its really sad as it was by far the easiest app to use. All the others are too fiddly. I will keep it in the hope it gets mended but will go back to pen and paper.
This app seems to have gone downhill. It starts up when connected to my designated bluetooth connection but no longer automatically starts and records the trips. I'm missing weeks worth of trips because of this. It no longer backs up to Dropbox even though the setting is still there. Unlink and relinking it to Dropbox doesn't fix it either.
I can no longer export the database, nor can I generate a report for tax purposes. I am using a Samsung Note 10 +... Under permissions, I only see that the app has access to Storage > Media. I cannot give it access to Storage > all files, which other apps that use a database on my phone have. I think that this may be the problem.
Currently I am having issues with the software, and is just not worth it. You constantly loosing trips, when you think is running in the background. It has a lot of potential but is useless currently for me. I will update review if issues gets solved.
Appears to be an abandoned app. Sad because I used to love this thing. Unfortunately I can't get it to work on my new S21 Ultra. Everything goes in fine but I can't export or send the data without error making it rather useless. Support doesn't respond either. Has anyone found another app that works like this one did?
This app is great! I am a part time pet sitter who logs miles. This meets my every need. I just saved my data for the year. All totals are there and the charts and graphs are interesting to see at the end of the year. 😊👏
This program nolonger works and support seems to have disappeared. Data can go in but you can't get it out as there appears to be a permissions problem. Sad because this was the best mileage app available.
I've been using the app since 2015 with no issues. Just recently, I'm not longer able to send reports or create a backup. I've emailed with no response from customer service. I'll be moving on to a new app.
Used to be good app. Useless now. Cannot backup or print report. No help from customer service. Don't bother with this app
Great app UNTIL you need to switch phones, then it becomes a first class PITA! This is the fifth or sixth time I have moved this app to a new phone. Every time it has taken HOURS to do what should take minutes.
I have been using this app for 3 years with no problem, now all of a sudden i cant send reports via email which has made the app useless, emailed support but no reply.
Was a great App for years. Installed on new phone and would not load back up file. Lost all my data. Emailed tech support 3 times with no reply..
Like others, this tax season I can't export or email last year's mileage data. Obnoxious that I'll have to manually transcribe all the data!
What a shame this app went downhill quick! Can't export data or even safe to SD card! Don't bother even downloading...it will only let you down.
Have used for years with no issues. Now you can't send the reports. Have emailed for help no reply.
After years of using this app and recommending it to clients (I'm an accountant) it will not restore my backups from my previous phone!
I've been using this app for over 3 years. It is very easy to use and does a fantastic job.
Reports no longer are printable. Bad format.
I have also been using this app for many years and as a lot of others below discovered I could no longer export mileage reports for tax purposes. Developer does not respond and it seems app has been abandoned. Seems to be a permissions issue with newer versions of android. Since I had a lot of records I was motivated to find a way to export my data. I installed android-x86 as a virtual machine on my pc, restored milagetracker from my google one backup and was able to export and email my reports. This takes a bit of work but it does work and was much faster than re-entering all my data.
