Didn't work for 14 days. It kept me locked out of my account for the 14 days. Finally after multiple attempts at reloading it, it finally worked. I advise AAFES Mil Star card but they never contacted me or helped with the problem. The only help they gave was to help me pay my bill over the phone. 2 weeks is a long time to TRY to access my account. Another SNAFU like this one and I will cancel them. I don't need them or the hassle.
The most aggravating app on my phone. It prompts you to update but then tells you to install it when it's already installed. Also it gives you the option to use the phone's login when that has ready been selected during previous usage. At that point I have to reset the password. The only thing this app is good for is quickly paying the bill. Other than that I have no use for it. Garbage at best.
Great for statements, reward points check, payments, changing info on the account, but what if I wanted to shop? Is this at another app? To my knowledge from reviewing the site, shopping is not available.
This app is for accessing your Military Star Card account to see reward points, card limit, and card balance, as well as to schedule or make a payment. It works fine. My only complaint is the limited selection of special characters that are allowed to be used; this should be expanded to be all-inclusive of all standard special characters available on cell phones.
Tells you useful things but won't allow you to make a payment. Clicking 'make a payment' results in a message informing you only one one-time payment may be made in a 7 day period, even if a payment was not made through the app. Otherwise, pretty useful and surprisingly streamlined considering it's affiliated with AAFES. Significantly better than most AAFES experiences. Solid 4 star if payments can be integrated.
It started out easy and fine but there was a mishap with my payment involving a change of address on my debit card. I didn't know the payments weren't going through and I was deployed. I didn't have checks or the card with me and my account was suspended. I tried to get everything back in order and was treated like very disrespectful. Once my debt is paid I will cancel my account and I will gladly tell everyone that is thinking of getting one to not even bother. Just go to Capital One.
I am trying to reestablish my credit and improve my FICO scores on all 3 major credit bureaus. Military Star took a chance on me and issued me a credit card. I've successfully kept my spending within my ability to pay, and will try to do what American Express cardholders do: pay the balance at or before the due date. Thank you, Military Star for taking a chance on me!
Been trying for the last hour since DL the app to open it and it keeps saying "Application Error, connection to the server unsuccessful". Will rate it again of it ever works. Update: Their customer support is phenomenal and are working on a fix for my issue and keeping me updated throughout.
Wants me to update but no update is available. Says to install, but obviously it's already installed. I don't want to contact you for troubleshooting, just fix the app for everyone at once and save everyone time. It worked just fine at one point.
So far, I'm being denied access after inputting my user name and password. And YES, I input the correct info. UPDATE: I mistook this as an app for the post exchanges. Thought I could do some shopping thru this app, but I was mistaken. Upped to 3 stars until I open and check out it.
IF YOU'RE IN THE MILITARY DO NOT GET THIS CARD! They try and get you to use this card throughout your training, that is not responsible credit management they're pushing! Everything on base seems to be pushing you to rack up a balance because Military Star knows they'll get their money plus extra if there's late fees, which is why they randomly block you from paying. Get a card that has credit counseling, credit health tips, etc not a card feeding off your guaranteed pay check. Don't be a Boot!
I can't stand the fact that you cant update your info on this app. After sitting on the phone for 40 minutes with bs music playing and the stupid informative messages that NO ONE wants to hear, the rep hangs up after giving her greeting ONCE! Naturally I mistook that for one of the 50 "informative" messages. So now, I get to wait for 40 more minutes to update this phone number so I can access my account. It is straight garbage.
The reward thing is not real, in 20 years i have never actually recieved the "20$" rewards card. But always get the email stating i have one. Neither do i know anyone that has.
Wish you could use this credit card with the Samsung Pay App. Makes it easier to pay when you don't have to carry credit cards. Seems like it could be restricted for use at Px and commissary only.
It took me over 4 hours to confirm the account. The confirmation password was way delayed to my email account. I finally got in, used it once and it locked me out the next time I used it. Didn't change my password or username. Impossible app to access.
Lacks the means to use/pay with your rewards (dollar credits), therefore useless for that.
So far so good. It is simple and easy to use. Even the Marines could figure this one out😁.
Stupid, it's not even an app. It's like a web browser page and it's the most frustrating thing to log on. Can't even leave the app without having to constantly log back in.
I don't understand how if you enable biometrics you would still need to enter your password everytime. The only app I know that does this! Not my having apps or my investing app! Why have an app? You might as well just use your PC or Mac. To be honest it makes no sense! Get it together! You got together if I owe you some money
Good app but with needed improvements for example when you login, it doesn't show you your last oayment in the recent transactions/activity. Also, 2-factor authentication is a much needed thing here as well.
Best prices, great customer service, 24 hr contact, 0% on mist major purchases, price matching! Recommend it to everyone!

Worst app ever! There's no support and no options to do anything but make payments. You can't even set up auto pay. And in this unprecedented time of strife for most of the country, you would thing they would be more accommodating and have more support and update this app.
Easy to use and navigate....and the best part about this app, it has a superb safety authentication feature that safeguards your account from being hacked or stolen. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Something went wrong on this app. I use to be able to log in to my phone app and make payments conveniently. But now, I cant even log in. I reset my password and still doesn't work like before. 😡
I'm trying to update the latest update and all I get is a spinning circle.. My network is working fine for everything else but this app.
Biometrics are a thing but even with that enabled this clunky app will ask you for your login credentials and for some reason the Google saved password that works just fine in the browser doesn't work with the app so it will lock you out. Lazy programmers.
Very poor quality for an app. I kind of regret that I even got their credit card. I will give them credit for their customer service. Both times I have contacted them, I received great help and people who actually sounded like they were hapy to help you. Overall, my advice to those who want to start building a credit score and you are in the Service or someone in your family is, go with Navy Federal. I got my first credit card from them with a good credit limit. Also, their app is top quality.
