It's a great app, I really like learning coding on it every day. The only small problem is that when choosing the suggested symbols sometimes and then using the keyboard to type, some bug happens and the symbols change order and you can not reverse it anymore so your answer becomes wrong. If you could fix that, it would be grat. The rest is all cool. Awesome work guys!

Great app so far, very easy to get hooked on and quite fun. However there are typos and strange mistakes in the corrections on many exercises. It's sometimes hard to understand what the sentence is meant to mean but one gets the hang of it and it doesn't really diminish the overall experience 👍

Meh... I really liked the way the app works and it looks like you could learn really fast with it, which is the reason behind the 2 stars and not just 1. You are going to make the user pay for the whole app after the introduction, but they don't have much experience with the app. I don't want to throw 10$ (which is, added up every month, pretty high for some of us!) into an app that maybe won't fit my needs... Disappointed. Maybe ads would've been better. :( Pretty sad about that.

Pay for everything! The interface is great. But the content is behind a paywall from the get go. That's a turn off and counter productive: the same information is available in many apps and websites online for free! Having a cute interface isn't enough to compete.

I was offered a 50% off deal just before auto subscription took place and I still got charged for regular rate after I accepted the discount offer. Now I'm being charged twice for a one year subscription. 😡 Update: Billing error has been corrected. The service provided makes it easier to learn Python. I took a class before reading a boring book, but this makes it a lot more fun and highly engaging.

Brilliant free app👏! Goes at a great pace, has a very clever and useful IDE, and brilliant UX. Of course it still has the usual premium subscription, but it doesn't get in the way too much. Lessons are very well explained and the use of leaderboards and such are very helpful for motivation! The "projects" provided are also brilliant for practice. Content, difficulty and progression are also spot on. More courses would be nice but the ones it currently has are done brilliantly. Overall great app!

I love this app! I've been using it for a week so far and it's absolutely fantastic. The lessons are so easy and fun to learn! My only feedback is that I would if we could get some daily xp points for going back through our old lessons we finished. It would feel more rewarding to review the past lessons but regardless, I love the app! 10/10!

Top 3 best Web Development tutoring apps I've come across and boy oh boy have I used a lot of them! Mimo hands down, has the most user friendly interface. Lessons are crisp and focused. Writing code is easier with its inbuilt keyboard and its project supported approach allows user exploration and application of skills. It's also one of the most affordable deals I've seen with the amount of knowledge it offers. Very well thought out. Very awesome app.

A learn-to-code experience very similar to Duolingo. This seems like a good entry point but would be best supplemented with other free learn-to-code options on a computer. Ads are minimal but it is constantly reminding you to sign up for the paid edition by labeling "pro" content everywhere. I'd rather have more ad interruptions to have more free content. Good app though, highly recommended.

I'll admit, I was skeptical, but after just one day of using this I love it. There's few ads, and even without pro it's still a great app. My brother is learning Python, so I decided to learn with him while he learned in a class. It's very easy to use, and throughout the lesson provides opportunities to practice it yourself. The playground is also great, I love practicing there with different lines of code. Very beginner friendly! Perfect for hands-on learners. Definitely recommend this. :]

I decided to get back into coding after years (I speak the archaic languages of QBasic and Visual Basic 6.0 with little bits of JavaScript), and this program is definitely helping to brush some of the rust off. Very straight forward and easy to use. I only planned on a few minutes a day, but now I find myself pulled back to learn more and more often. The only issue I have to currently complain about, is that I wish instead of clicking the buttons during the lessons, I could actually type.

It used to be a great app, but definitely not worth the money anymore, considering the variety of worthy (and free!) options that are out there currently.. subscription payment model is unacceptable for many, esp with current prices in Europe.. well, keep standing with your money, hypo

At first I thought that this app was like dulingo were you do it for a few days and then forget about it... BUT IT'S SO MUCH MORE. First instead of having a life system it shows you what you did wrong and shows you how to do it. It is easy to get the hang of in after you learn how to do a certain thing all the sudden you remember it. After one day of using the app I am already at intermediate html level. And i love how it can teach you HTML, CSS and JS this app is great and i hope this helps..

Not. A. May 27, 2022

i know making it easy to learn is the goal but it qould be nice if instead of 2 choices these was 3 ( maybe the level of dificulty can be an option) this might help learn more as if you have to think about the answer then you will remember it for longer like a month later " oh there was a question i struggled with a bit and then got the correct answer and now i see the same in my code , i will never forget that one " i dont know what the reasearch says but (easy in easy out good luck &thank you

7 days of use now and wow I'm actually learning fast and a lot. It's better than learning in school fr. I'm already on intermediate. I'd say the functions part is a bit confusing. Maybe improve there more. Love the app so far tho ^^

The first thing that came into my mind was the similarity between Duolingo and Mimo. And I have to say, both are pretty amazing. Mimo teaches coding in a way that is very simple to understand even for beginners who have no knowledge of coding or what it is used for. The repetitive practices help to revise what we have learned already. So pretty wholesome all in all

I started with zero coding experience, but this way of learning made it all make sense to me without being overwhelming. However, only three stars because after the second or third day, the app crashes whenever I open it, making the app unusable.

Ari. M. May 12, 2022

this is actually really bad for a beginner who doesn't know a single thing about coding, it actually doesn't teach you the very basics, i choose the beginner course with no experience and yet the app already start talking about button tag, it doesn't even explain what a tag does or why is it needed or what functions each tag does, sololearn app is much better for a beginner specially the comment sections there many tips and tricks you can learn there, but this app is good for the certificate

I'm basing this on when I used the app a year or two ago. I saw one of the reviews talking about hearts which would immediately drop a star for me. Mimo is probably the best place to learn python I've seen. It's kind of hand-holdy but it works, especially without previous experience. It can give you a solid foundation that you can build on else where. I dropped a star because of the payment model. No option to buy lifetime a single language or anything. Just a subscription model to bleed you dry

Dam. Y. May 7, 2022

I really love mimo but I want to add that I knew the basics of html or coding because I had a subject of information technology in my 12th. It was not a major subject and was completely optional. but not too much of coding so it will help if you know some basics. Or else mimo is always there to teach you😀💖. Thank you mimo

Rac. R. May 16, 2022

I'm learning so much from the yearly subscription version I just purchased.I just wish I could afford the money upfront to purchase Mimo Dev after I complete the app under subscription. Maybe there could be small monthly payments like$10-$20-$30(pushing it for my meager income) as long as we are using the app for us low income disabled learners trying to make a go in this crazy expensive world?😄I highly recommend this app just the same. Thank you for this fun educational app! 5 stars!👍

Xen. B. Mar 15, 2022

everyone's praising this for being super hands on...I'm sorry but I missed the part where "hands on"meant being spoon fed knowledge and just mindlessly tapping buttons that correspond to what you've been told to tap...and when you fail it just straight up gives you the answer, not to mention the super sketchy barely explained subscription thing, what when the free trial ends I can't use the app anymore unless I pay!?or when it ends I have to deal with MORE ads?who knows!

Mak. R. May 30, 2022

Perfect for learning Python on the go! I've learned so much already just by completing lessons during breaks at work. It's been invaluable to my hectic schedule.

Isa. May 21, 2022

I tried code academy before this and couldn't really learn. one day on this app and I've learned more than a month on there. it's explained with examples and with having to interact it helps to remember!!

DAY. d. Mar 11, 2022

It's a good application basically, it really helps me with learning programing at ease. However , when my network strength goes a little low it doesn't save my work and I have to do it again from the start.. that's the only flaw I see in this app.. please fix this ASAP.

Ada. R. May 1, 2022

The challenges and exercises are not ideal for real coding. I prefer SoloLearn over this app since it works on both mobile and computer. This has no computer version. Also the app freezes a lot on my Moto G Stylus.

ina. e. Apr 17, 2022

very helpful as a highschool students preparing to become a pro programmer I find this all very helpful to teach me coding and help me understand more about this subject I really do recommended it because you can use it whenever you want and at any place and it for free course <3 I really appreciate the hard work put into this app.

Chu. G. Apr 24, 2022

This app is perfect for learning Python and SQL. I have been using it for a month now and I can declare that it is very easy to use and has a lot of different lessons amd exercises for practice. I also like how there is an option to revisit lessons. Edit: I changed it to one star because I recently lost my 49 day streak and had to rebuy it, even though I coded in the morning, the game states that whatever country you are in, you have a 24-hour cycle of coding, meaning that I was right.

Mar. H. May 1, 2022

£8 a month or £45 a year is extortionate! Freecodecamp is 'free'. Or use a voucher and sign upto a udemy course. You could buy 3 or 4 decent courses with lifetime access for the price of 1 years subscription to this. UPDATE: Now £8.99 a month or £52.99 a year!!! There are much better (cheaper) resources out there!

Jus. H. Apr 19, 2022

bought Pro after a few lessons, I used to do a lot of VB 6 and HTML, so far the way Mimo plans these lessons out and how they are actually taught is amazing. the relation that is required to drill certain foundations are there and Mimo makes it fun!
