While the bulbs themselves work perfectly fine, they often disconnect randomly and do not reconnect unless I toggle bluetooth. They do not stay connected for more than 30 seconds. Edit: Bulbs no longer randomly disconnect. They do, however, disconnect when the phone is locked or the app is closed. That wouldn't be so bad if they didn't take a solid 20 seconds to reconnect once you re-open the app. Still, they're far more usable now. Rating gets a boost to 3 stars.
No grouping means i can only set a mood/preset for every bulb but i have them in different rooms. This app is useless. Now using the bulbs with normal switch and forgetting about the colour change.
I have installed these bulbs in my living room and when I launch the app it only connects while the app is open. If I close the app and go back in the bulbs are disconnected and will not reconnect. Sometimes I shut the app completely down and it's reconnect, but that isn't a constant. I disconnected a bulb too and it has been several hours and the app has not reconnected to it. If I restart my phone or Force Stop the app it'll reconnect, but not for Long. Scenes also do not save.
I have the same connectivity problems as everyone else. I only managed setup one bulb before getting sidetracked looking for info on the missing features, like music integration, and the E14 adapters - that I paid for but weren't delivered. When I returned to the app, not only can I not control the one I set up, but the app can't detect the remaining bulbs despite them being visible in Bluetooth settings. I can't even force-pair, it just falls.
Kickstarter supporter. On my Android it spontaneously disconnects and only occasionally reconnects, even when paired via Bluetooth. I have high hopes this will get better. For now it's just a very bright white bulb. We emailed a week ago because one of our bulbs wants a key code which we do not have; still no reply :(
The instructions on the box on the light bulb say 1)Take out the old bulb. 2)Screw in the new smart bulb. 3)Please download MIMOODZ APP 4) Enjoy the moodz. There are no instructions within the app. There is a button called SETUP in the app. Naturally I go there. I turn on my bluetooth. I turn on the bulb. After about 30 seconds it connected. COOL! I thought. I played with the colors for about 1 minute straight. Then I turned the screen off on my android device. 10 minutes later I wanted to change the color. But low and behold, my tablet was disconnected from the bulb. Nothing I did would make it reconnect. Literally for 30 minutes I could not get it to reconnect. SOLUTION: Pair the bulb with your bluetooth. Set bluetooth to automatically connect to the bulb. Seems logical, but the directions do not state this. Once paired I have ENJOYED this app/bulb. But if you don't pair then you WILL be frustrated with the app/bulb because of disconnects and not being able to reconnect.
Literally can't even set the bulb up, it won't show for some reason and pairing it directly through Bluetooth just gives me an error message. Terrible app and bulb
Takes a while for app to connect to the bulbs. Can't seem to find the music visualization feature either. It works though
This is what I waited for months and months and months for? Bulbs disconnect after about 30 seconds and do not reconnect without turning the bulbs off and on again at the wall. Scenes do not save within the app. Emails went unanswered for over a year after I backed the project, with virtually no updates via kickstarter worth talking about. The bulbs themselves, without even using the app flicker occasionally when left on for an extended period (only noticed this happening after maybe 30 minutes, is that an extended period or standard use?) Avoid this company and their products at all costs, if this is their idea of a high quality product that within the kickstarter campaign was alleged to be almost ready for manufacture, to be late by well over 18 months on delivery and when it turned up to be absolutely crap.
App constantly disconnects and refuses to reconnect, rendering the lightbulb useless. It occasionally reconnects after turning Bluetooth on and off but I shouldn't have to do this. There hasn't been an app update since July, anything in the pipeline at all to fix this?
Waited so long for these bulbs, but the app is terrible!!! Disconnects all the time, no option to play along with music. Brutal
Good LED light bulb. My Bluetooth can't connect 100%. Sometimes my phone can't find the bulb.
One of the worst investment I made was backing this.

Bought 9 off Kickstarter and it barely useable. It says disconnected and I have no control over the bulbs. Not even after restarting bluetooth or app. The fun is lost and they have become irritating to use.
Edit: Since the update the app force closes any time I try to connect to the bulb. I can't use any other modes besides the normal white because it won't connect. It disconnects shortly after connecting. I also thought there was a party mode where it would switch to different colors. Fix the connectivity issues and add instructions to the app to get a 5 star.
