MindEdge

More than an e-book, the MindEdge app allows students to be engaged by the same content and interactive features as in the Web version of the course, in a format that is optimized for mobile devices at any screen size. Student data and progress are saved, just as if the student were at his or her computer.

Users will need to first buy a course through a provider to access content using the MindEdge app.

Never opens up the class material. Ever. You click the option to open in mindedge and it loops you round and round. When it does FINALLY open it prompts for username and password. But, since I access it through my course page can't login to read the material. The real insult is that it then says you need to click the "open in mindedge app" on the course page. I did. Just. So. Frustrating. Worthless app.

One of the worst apps I've ever used! Download course material read offline and I can never access it, when I open the app it has a white screen and never actually opens most of the time. I will show I'm connected to the internet and all of my other apps will work just fine while this one tells me my device is not connected. I count on being able to work off line most of the time, this is making it very difficult to complete my course.

Terrible app to use on android. Doesn't work at all: it suggests to open a course in a browser, browser loops me right back to app, which is not opening a course, but sends me right back to the browser. Developers gotta do better job in adapting this app for Android devices. It works just fine on Windows PC, but totally worthless for Android based devices

I can't access it when linked from WGU app. It keeps telling me to use the web first, and I am. When i click on the link it brings me to a login page and I can't get in. Edit: if I open the WGU in chrome instead of the WGU browser, then click the button, it works. Error should be more clear, because the internal WGU browser is still a web browser.

I can't get in at all . It tells me to access the web version of the course first and then click the 'Open this course in the mind edge mobile App' button. I did this and it still said that message. I don't know what is the problem but I think I will delete the app for now and just view from the WGU app. It works on their,

I go to school at Western Governors University and have often tried to use this app in conjunction with my WGU app and for some reason I'm not able to have my credentials cross over to the Mind Edge app. I have to use the browser to get to mind Edge. I would like to happen if it worked however. Update: still useless. I highly recommend using a browser to do any college work. This app does not let me in at all with my credentials. I have been on the phone with IT and still nothing.

Won't let me in at all to access my course materials. I keep getting the message "Please access the web version of this course first and then click the 'Open this course in the MindEdge Mobile App' button". That is what I am doing and it still doesn't work.

Poor navigation, the tests shows the answers before answering 😅. Not well synchronised with the website. Useful but do not expect a tremendous experience.

Mobile App doesn't have access to the videos or transcripts. I had to log on to website version to complete courses and download certificates. Mobile app should work the same as the desktop.

These guys just have the app so they can pad their contract with schools. "Hey! We have an app!" But it's terrible. Their support is a note that essentially says, use the desktop instead. Then what's the point???

Logged in from wgu. As supposed to have my courses ,but the course I'm working on right now just asks me to open in the browser?... Then what's the point of this app? Also, back button should close the app ,not continue to reload the course screen.

On an endless loop. The course suggests that I open in the mindedness app, go to the app and it says to open the course first. Extremely frustrating!

The app isn't as functional as simply using a website to access the text. The tabs and review questions don't work. They just display.

It gets the job done. One suggestion, since OLED/AMOLED screens are becoming the norm, please introduce a "Dark Mode" option within the app. This will save students battery on their devices and also help reduce eye strain.

While attempting to use on both Phone (Pixel 5) and Tablet (Tab A7), I am facing issues. This is after attempting to follow the guide sent by support. While trying to attempt to work with support, they treat me as if I'm stupid, asking me to do this or that that is within the guide they sent.

I downloaded this app to make studying my course easier, but it just redirected me to my browser. I can access the course material from my school's app, I just thought this would have it formatted better.

Doesn't work for Android. You can't login, so it tells you to open the link in app for WGU. Which just leads to a bad web link.

When submitting answers to questions the page does not retain scrolling position, so after every question you need to scroll back to your previous position. This becomes very cumbersome and could be updated to help users save time

No fluid way to access embedded articles and then return to the original content. It also does not remember where you left off. Other than that, it's great.

as I continue online and in person at Duke University with MindEdge significant gains in my career education goals on a variant of platforms to allow me to continue my studies all over the USA on a variant of devices. I really enjoyed each certification being afforded for print with each completion of assessment per course teir! Having the ability to do assessments with unlimited attempts to the student. The games, assigned works, and videos made material blended!

The book I download had basic math division of fractions, the app did not show the the slash to indicate the fraction. It was kinda confusing to try to figure things out.

It's an entirely smooth app. Best app I've used in my Distance Learning experience. The only knock, sometimes it doesn't remember where I left off. No biggy though.

App simply redirects to browser; I honestly can't see any use to it whatsoever. disclaimer: maybe it's different for in-house courses; I'm coming though WGU.

Some of the games and interactive features do not work, but otherwise- very handy for on-the-go learning!

Using it on a tablet it shows exponents as regular numbers. So 2^3 shoes up as 23 and it's just very confusing.

It's a very nice app overall. Started using recently but couldnt figure out a way to 'Resume'.
