Add popped up when I opened it. App crashed every time I tried to use it (8 times) I gave it a fair chance and re installed it. Same problem. Cool idea though. (UPDATE) been well over a year. Tried re-downloading, App still does not work.
I am a abandoned mine explorer, it is a great app to identify the mine and what material was mined, wish you didnt have to pick the state and select mines and caves every single time you open the app. I wish you would chabge it to stay on what was previously selected. Also would be a nice feature if one could pin mines that are not listed in the app
I've found only 1 mine with this app with miles of hiking and days of searching. I have been searching miles on foot for these things because the app isn't accurate in finding them at all but if you search enough you'll find what you're looking for I guess
Very happy with the app. Pins are not exact, but gets you close enough. You can usually see the tailing piles in the vicinity.
I changed my review cuz it actually does work unfortunately there's only two caves in New Mexico that's in this database, I think you can add more if you find them though.
Downloaded the app. Ad popped up in the middle of the first search resetting it then crashed the next 3 times i tried a search. Uninstalled.
This app only shows cavern or operational mines. It does not show caves! There are reports of 5 caves in Clearfield county, Pennsylvania, but only 2 are being searched again since the American Indians. There are none indicated on the app. Do a better research and learn the difference!!!
This doesn't show about 50%++ of the mines and caves near me or in surrounding States. Free app sure, but I can find far more via an internet search.
Very useful when we're out in "No Man's Land", where we frequently stumble across both active and abandoned mines and prospects. It helps us to learn what types of mineral exploration has been done near by and affords a starting point for conducting additional research on a particular area.
Simple, lightweight. Goes from topo to satellite in a flash. I've been using it for a while now and really like it.
Great reference for exploring and in planning to explore. Easy to use and easy to locate with gps tags.
just started checking out this app. & so far its great. will continue to use the info (which is much more than i had before) it provides. keep up the great work, we appreciate it.
Great idea But you need to do way more research on caves and mines at least for Arizona. I'll give you 3 more caves, but there is many more you are missing. The 3 caves are, 1) Cave Of The Bells 2) Onyx Cave 3) Chiricahua Crystal Cave Two of these caves are in santa cruz county the other one is in Cochise county. These 3 cave are fairly large cave and there is a lot of info on them. Anyways hope you fix your app to include all known cave and most mine until then.
The app keeps crashimg on both my samsung phone and tablet. I used this app SOOOO much while i lived in cali and now when i try to use it in NH it crashes.
I'm In WISCONSIN- there are like, 140 caves - they only listed ONE- main steam / cave of the mounds...bro...really- Google search gave me more then this app...cool idea though- to find one while traveling the state...but .yea
Mainly due to the lack of any competiton this is a great app. lottsa mines but very few identified caves. Maybe get some more caves on here and its a 5+
Seems to work for me, I love that you can go to Google maps right from the cave/mine info!
Could only get the map up once, crashed the other 3 attempts.
Better than any other mine finding app I've used, shows a lot near me, not on other apps!!
Just stops after search. The ads load up quickly, though.
It appears that my new Android won't work without a app update and none are available yet.
Not what I thought it should be app can use alot of improvement as far as locating actual mines and caves
It awesome being able to go on a hike and whip out this mine app and fine the nearest mines and go exploring.
I would give it a higher rating because it does exactly what it says and tells you exactly where mines and caves are located but no matter what when you enter the state of new Mexico an error message pops up and says app stopped working and kicks you off. I uninstalled and then installed it again with no change. I then downloaded it on my wife's and then on my sons phone and it still did the samething on there phones also
