Minimize for Youtube play in background

I have used this app for several months now and really like the sleep mode as you can swipe up to get rid of the video view then hit "sleep" to save power. I have a pixel phone and they seem to be keeping up with updates so that's saying something.

It has its own kinks but it's working. My biggest gripe about it is that you don't have full freedom to move the window around and t won't go all the way to the edge of a screen. Overall, it's doing what it says it's doing.

After end of a video, showing recommended videos. But while clicking on that - No action is getting performed. Please check. Otherwise stop showing it if not able to fix, it is a serious one to bring down the rating of the app.

Unusable. They changed everything, now you have to watch ads and get pro for 1 hour. Searching doesn't work anymore and all my playlists are gone after restarting. I uninstalled it.

EDIT 2021-04-03: The app has suddenly stopped working. Searching for any term shows no results and searching for a video's URL doesn't work either. Very disappointing, used to be one of my favourite apps. - Works well and largely as expected. Best app I've found for this purpose so far. One feature I'd love to see added is the ability to pause a video without maximising the window.

Fantastic app that is admittedly a much simpler, bare bones version of youtube, yet that still manages to be functional, user friendly, and does its job very well. The "smaller window" feature doesn't lag other apps too badly and despite the quality drop the videos play well and without stuttering. Would highly reccommend this app. edit: and after this review it immediatly started constantly crashing, go figure

I like the app, however it would be nice to have a lock on the minimiser screen, so that the screen doesn't close by accidentally swiping or touching the X (close) button on the top right. Also, it would also be nice and beneficial to not have the minimiser screen displayed. It tends to obstruct other applications and moving it all over the screen is frustrating. Interface could use some touching up also. I also noticed the volume sound is not as high when using another app like YouTube.

I like the idea of this app but it's hard to work with and it needs improvement. Here's what needs to be improved: 1) Allow us to search channels instead of just videos 2) Save a list of channels that we can access at any time 3) Include a history of videos recently watched, especially since videos close on their own sometimes & we can only find them by searching the keywords again 4) Search for videos by URL. Have option to quickly paste URL on minimized video without having to go to the app

so far pretty legit! considering YouTube doesn't let you have music in the background (which makes no sense, you literally get better capabilities on a computer) this app let's you! there is the option to watch one video to avoid seeing ads from the app for 12 hours, and to me, that's worth it. good app so far, highly recommend for a get around a YouTube app that has lower capabilities than windows XP

I use this for listening to ASMR at night to fall asleep. The app used to have a lock screen mode which saved battery and dull brightness. There is now a downgraded feature of this that doesnt lock the screen anymore. With the ever growing popularity of ASMR and the difficulty of playing it on a phone in the background it's a missed opportunity not to include features to take advantage of this, as I'm sure many people using the app while likely use it for this purpose.

Can you not search for certain channels?? Seems like can only search for titles, maybe also tags. It sometimes is extremely laggy where the video will pause/restart often. In a 10 min vid it did this over 40 times. Very annoying. However it does do what it says, shows a tiny video and you can hear audio while using other apps. Dev, please make searching better and maybe have where we can create accounts so info is saved from one use to the next. Thanks.

Update for 2021: Dropping to two stars because it no longer works with the screen off. While it absolutely serves its purpose as being able to run in the backgroundor with the screen off, the fact that you can't just paste in a video link and can only use a search function that doesn't work properly half of the time, is idiotic.

I like this app, it was the first and only video minimizer app I have tried. It's pleased me enough to not have the need to try another one. Of course there are things I wish would be a little better, like having more recommendation options, being able to close the screen completely and it still play, etc, just simple things like that could be tweaked to improve it altogether.

A very comfortable option for listening to music or to podcasts while on the go. The battery saver is the best compromise that I have seen, since it's impossible to run YT videos while the screen is locked. I also love that you can save playlists and individual videos as favorites. I heartily recommend trying YT Mini.

This app is great! It works well, and the minimum screen size isn't too big, so you can realistically do other things on your device. However, the ads while you're in the app are kind of startling as they are full screen, use sound, and pop up out of nowhere while you're browsing videos to watch, but that's a small price to pay for the small screen size and lack of ads while you're actually watching videos.

It's a very nice app but I feel like it would be helpful if you could use the playlists that you have already made on YouTube other then that suggestion I don't have any other complaints

It's better than 2 years ago but can't handle using any programs simultaneously, it just crashes.

This app was (and still is) amazing at , but then I accidentally went into the app by clicking the mini screen. It took me to the app. I left the app and went back to my game, but the video stopped. It wouldnt let me play ANY videos again so I unintalled and re-installed. Same thing happened. Just a warning for others users to wait for the add before you leave the app. :3

It's very convenient. This app works great with the web version of YouTube, especially when you want to save battery usage.

Excellent app. Listening to YouTube on your phone has one major, little-talked-about disadvantage : if you're mid-song and do something else (an email comes in; you have the urge to check your bank account ; or less banal than that, you just want to SoundHound that random song YouTube just played, or take a photo) the song stops and YouTube cuts. This app keeps YouTube alive in the background no matter what you do. Ten out of ten.

Horrible, yet not. Nice interface, really nice. Yet search is not great, but the downfall: IT STOPS PLAYING AS SOON AS YOU MINIMIZE, I DO MEAN ANYTHING. the bottom buttons android phone, square stops it, by just looking at the apps playing stops it. The O stops it. The triangle stops it. DOES NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED. No settings.

It does exactly what it says, with major exceptions! You can frollock between music but be warned, the ad beast is crawling in the corner, ads are random and at times can interupt listening. Consumers looking for help with the application are either met with hostility or an average automated message. Overall my experience was not good.

I use to LOVE this app until there was a new update and now the app only minumizes at the bottom of the screen and not the top. It completely defeats the purpose of having the app in the first place because it minimizes ON TOP of my keyboard completely covering send and backspace. I can't do anything else with this app anymore. Please fix this! Thanks!
