miniTek Remote

With this convenient remote app gone are the days of multi-tasking electronic gadgets with your hearing instruments. When used in combination with the Siemens miniTek, the Remote App easily and seamlessly allows you to control your hearing instruments and how they interact with all of your favorite electronic devices right from your smartphone. Whether it is watching TV, listening to your favorite song, or talking to a friend on your mobile phone – control is right at your finger tips.
Note: Siemens miniTek is required in order to utilize this app. Compatible with Android versions 2.3 and higher

Why use the miniTek remote app:

REMOTE CONTROL: With the app all of the functions available to you on the Siemens miniTek can now be controlled directly on your mobile phone.

NO MORE JUGGLING: Who wants to juggle multiple electronic devices? With the app you can easily switch between taking a call, listening to your MP3 player, watching television, or simply enjoying your surroundings all from the convenience of your mobile phone.

VISUALIZE YOUR WORLD: Using the screen of your mobile phone the app creates a visual display of your hearing instrument’s status. You can easily see which memory program you have selected with one quick glance at your phone.

DIRECT ACCESS: With the app users can directly switch between memory programs. The memory display on your phone allows you to directly select the desired memory program, no more cycling through the programs to find the one you want. So if you are taking a walk and want to listen to music one touch is all it takes to jump to your desired program.

EASE OF USE: The app is great for people who have dexterity issues. Small buttons inherent in today’s tiny electronic devices can be a challenge for those of us with poor eye sight or who have trouble manipulating small things. Nice large buttons on your phone’s display make operating your hearing instruments and electronic devices a breeze.

DISCRETION: For the self-conscious users the app allows for discreet control of your hearing instruments. Some users don’t want others to know they use hearing instruments and the app provides an extra layer of discretion.

IT’S FREE: No further explanation needed!!!

I am looking at buying the MiniTek and will be testing it out later today at an appointment with my Audiologist. Why is this app complaining of not being compatible with the latest version of Android that has been out now for several months? Where is the developer?!?

Very good and functional

In today's high Tech world, this thing is rubbish. I have two hearing aids and thought that this would be awesome, listening to music and picking up phone calls. I paid almost 300 for a child's toy. Don't waste your money on this!!

Does the mini tek work with Samsung Galaxy 8+? When using mini tek to talk on the phone, sound doesn't transmit to my hearing aids but the caller can hear me fine. I'm certain everything is paired correctly.

Does not work on my s7 edge so I just use the minitek without this app. Error I get is make sure the device as firmware 5

The new update is a disappointment. The lock button has been removed. So now every time I bump my mini tek it changes my settings. Please add the lock feature back to the app!

With Android Oreo, a Samsung S7 Edge can control my hearing aids with the latest Bluetooth software. iPhone owners no longer need the physical MiniTek. iPhone owners just need software on the phone.

I was looking so forward to using these as soon as I got them home and started paired it up to use. I learned that I actually hear better with out my hearing aids then to use this app that's how bad it is. What a waste return your mini teks

Absolutely no idea what it tries to accomplish. Only see how I can chose different programs and volume. I still have to carry the transmitter. Looks like this app just replace my taking out the transmitter and control from the phone....well. Need an expert to figure that out for me.

It's waste of money. Why we need intermediate device like minitek. Siemens should have used mobile as intermediate device. I have this device but really not happy with this as it's difficult to carry everytime. It's will not support me even I bought this device at huge money !.

does not work most of the time.

Great Program. Will the app ever be independent of the need of having the minitek unit present?

This app is a joke and it is not laughable. Seriously, you use an app instead of the buttons on the mini tech but you have to have the mini tech with you....why would you add another device to control the volume in your hearing aids? WHY not design the app to connect directly to the hearing aids? After all my phone can stream movies it can certainly connect directly to me hearing aids if Semana wanted to. This was just a way to get another $750.00 in revenue. Please give value for my expenditure.

I am not sure if it's the minitek or my €3000 Siemens hearing aids but the constant 'beep, beep, beep.......... Beep' every time you switch programs, swipe, or do basically anything is extremely annoying. Why the minitek cannot automatically connect to any of the devices I have it paired to is beyond me. I have a €20 bluetooth headset that has no problem doing this. This app and the minitek is a complete and waste of €400!

My Siemens hearing aids are considerably smarter than this app. It seems to be about associating a program with a sound source. It doesn't make this clear and is cumbersome in it's implementation. So I can adjust the sound level for each program/sound source I use. Unfortunately the different sound sources themselves are not equally balanced and I end up either adjusting the volume on the source or directly on the miniTek. The opportunity to adjust bass and treble is lost - no adjustments seem to be implemented. But the biggest missed opportunity is in failing to address the biggest weakness of the miniTek. Primarily a streaming device its about getting sound into my ears. And it does this very well. It fails in the other direction, me issuing voice commands to my phone. I can't initiate a call, it gives no help with dictating memos, reminders or text messages. Those are this issues that need addressing, to make the miniTek a serious companion to the smartphone.... which it needs to do because in every other respect it makes a headset such as the incomparable Jawbone ERA redundant.

It's easier to use this app than to fumble with the Minitek to control my hearing aids because I keep my Minitek beneath my shirt, particularly for dress-up occasions. Instantly available from notification bar - great for dashboard-mounted phone while driving.

ive just started using mine via telephone calls and for tv use... Annoying all the beeps to say the least. While watching tv the sound intermittently stops in one aid and then starts again.. then another time it stops in other aids.. no reason for it to stop.. direct access to transmitter. Also dont know why but transmitter is charged up and not connected via plug. but when i went to touch it to switch it on via on/off switch i got a static shock. Other thing is while watching tv mobile phone rang and it didnt get connected to hearing aids.. It rather frustrating that you have to manually connect it to the bluetooth connection for minitek

Just got my hearing aid and mini tek today and trying to get the call to go to the hearing aid and doesn't work. Controls on phone works fine. Waiting for Siemens rep to contact my hearing aid tech. Doesn't have source to choose from

The ultimate geek factor would be if there were an Android Wear companion app that I could use to control my hearing aids with my watch. When I contacted the developers, they said that the wanted to concentrate on developing the existing app ... never mind the fact that the last version was made available over a year ago...

Awesome app but it really needs android wear support. Developers, when can we expect to control our aids via smartwatch?

Ang. P. Sep 14, 2014

This is a "must-have" app" for anyone owning a Siemens bluetooth mini-Tek. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 and store my music on a 64GB SD card.  Instead of just owning a miniTek/basic hearing aid it is brilliant to be able to access and play music seamlessly/wirelessly by means of what I call my "Siemens top of the range in ear headphones".   I control my music using a Sony SW2 iWatch.  If Siemens could also make an SW2 watch App to compliment/synchronise the "Android mobile phone app" it would merit 5 stars!

Anybody know if Siemens INSIO minitek is supported on iPhone5S the download does not work from GOOGLE PLAY

Ale. C. Feb 8, 2015

I have the Siemens Pure Micon 7 with Mini Tek....and this application works excellent!!!

Ton. C. Apr 6, 2015

The software UI could do with a refresh - a bit bland. Why not be able to adjust bass and treble?
