Minnesota 511

Crashes when trying to access cameras out individual incident reports. Please fix!

This app is useful, but it would be nice if it said if roads were icy or snow covered or both, not just partially covered. Also, I live in a rural area, it'd be really nice to know what visibility is like in the open areas. Sometimes there are plowcam pix, but not always and usually not in my area. Also, please rate the back roads too! Sometimes those are in better condition than highways.

Great and useful app with responsive developers! Recently it started crashing to desktop with Android OS update, but a quick report to the developers got it working again. If you're having the camera view crashing problem, try uninstalling and reinstalling. That fixed mine.

This app is great if you only want to know how the main highways and interstates are. It does not show info for county roads like the old version did. Not everyone lives in the metro area or on a major highway. Not very helpful when I need to know the conditions of my county road.

Idk if it's just my phone (Note 8) or what, but this app is useless. I can't add in a layer of winter driving (the entire reason I installed it), it doesn't have it as an option. I try viewing the list of all roads because I want to see highway 75, but it just gives me an error. I uninstalled. Was hoping this would update better than the website that generally has wildly outdated information... I wish the MN 511 was even half as good as the ND 511 :(

Was great last winter, but this winter (late 2019) it is not accurate at all. The webcams are current, but the road conditions & reports are outdated. Today 11/29, the report says it was last updated 2 days ago on 11/27. I have the latest version.

Great when it works properly, which is maybe 10% of the time. Cameras are rarely available and if they are, they're never updated enough. Other states allow live feed on their apps. Needs a major update

Many of the camera's don't show live coverage. For example, I checked the camera closest to me to figure out why the interstate was backed up and the camera shows it's raining. Definitely not raining.

I can only use this app once or twice, before everything goes blank and I can't see whats going on. I've tried both drive and not drive. So I have to delete and re-install the app usually almost every time I open it.

this app is nice BUT is not updated in a timely manner. especially when there are very hazardous conditions. I have seen road updates that are over 24hrs old. very difficult to plan with old information during bad weather.

I would love to give this app 5 stars.. I know of companies, that stand by this app on their winter roads, and road closure reports due to storms.. One place actually has in their policy, that if there is travel warning issued for your route into work, you are to not drive in, and call in and notify them of the travel warning, and will be compensated the entire shift.. I couldn't rate Minnesota 511, because it wouldn't download and open for me.. I had the green circle spinning, and wouldn't go.

Fairly accurate but I wished there was a way for people actually driving on the road to give updates. Recently 511 showed city hwy 200 between hwy 75 and Ada was normal driving so we took that road and it was glare ice on the entire road surface and the entire way. Was not happy and will not trust 511 completely again.

Very helpful, everything works really well except the 'Tell Me' feature, for some reason it speaks in Japanese and I can't find any setting options to change it...other than that it's a good app.

Constant popup to ask if the user is driving I'm quite sure has taken eyes off the road. Better bet, just assume we are, and make us click or voice out of driving mode. This a**-covering design makes me dread opening the app. It's otherwise a decent front end.

This app needs attention, it keeps crashing when I click on anything. It's been happening for weeks. Can someone please troubleshoot this?

Terrible app for 2019 and now also in 2020. Cameras not up to date. Most are not working and the same for snowplow cameras. I am ashamed how bad our state informs us on vital road conditions. I have looked at the road apps for other states and Minnesota falls very behind in upgrading the technology.

Camera images are never available. If you go to the desktop website the cameras are working just fine but when you go to use it in the app they are never online or available.

After years of enjoying this app, it is now refusing to stay open long enough to access any reports. Very frustrating.

Bring back the winter road conditions layer!! I depend on it all winter! 😔 Was such a helpful app until that layer disappeared!

Good when it works, lately there are no road conditions or incidents on the map. Today is a busy travel day

I really don't see why there would be any negative reviews. The interface is easy to use and understand. It's scales things appropriately for a phone. Very useful.

Crashes immediately upon launch. This started happening after the series of updates from a few months back. Used to work fine - Jellybean. Update 10/23/2019: works great now with latest update - thanks!

Needs upgrades! Also needs more frequent updates on road conditions!! In checking for today's conditions, especially re icy weather, found last update was over 24 hrs ago!! How are people supposed to know what the CURRENT road conditions are? If you don't want people on the roads, update the information!

This is one of the poorest apps I've ever seen. It is very RARELY accurate. It's extremely unfortunate, considering the need for this information is vital if you want to know road conditions & traffic issues. Especially on weekends, the app doesn't clear out OLD info till much later.... Please improve this app Minnesota .

I've been using this app for a few years and it's done me well, but this year it has been horribly off. Dangerously off. Please be better about updating the roads.

App. is great idea but road conditions never updated in timely manner. Usually 4 to 6hrs behind when you click on a road .
