Minuteman Library Network

It's a good app and the new update (Nov 29, 2021) has pleasant logos in the UI rather than squished ugly thumbnails. However, this update is also a downgrade for those using holds... I now don't know till when my hold will be kept at the library. Previous version had a deadline that I had to pick up the book by. I use the Cambridge Public Library, if that helps.

2021 review: Still good but not great. You can not use the "My Lists" feature available on the MLN website. From what I can tell the hold/freeze method is a poor substitute (limits), but lack of good error messages etc prevents me from knowing for certain. They seem to have fixed many earlier usability issues. (Harrah!) 2019 review (abbreviated) Good... but not great... plus its started crashing since around may 2019....

Update 6/11/21 It's working again! Hooray, so awesome to have it fully functional again. Such a useful app to have. ---------------- Used to be amazing, but the search function doesn't work anymore, so you can't use it to put holds on books, just look at what you've taken out.

The old version worked great. The new one is terrible. Much harder to search for audio books, and each time I found one, I got an error trying to reserve it. No problem reserving same book on the web site

Good not great, but mostly fulfills what you need from it. I'd like to be able to see my position in the queue for reserved books, and I'd like the app to give a warning before it redirects to the library website.

Malfunctions in the search function. Put in keyword or title and screen goes blank. Redoing the search leads to the same loop back to blank screen. Just awful.

After January update, the app no longer works, cannot access my account and the search function doesnt work. Prior to the update it worked great.

Really convenient way to search the catalog, check out books and media, renew, and more inb the minuteman library system right from your phone.

This app is great to have and it is handy. I just want to know why I have to grant permissions like access to SMS, phone, files, and camera. Please respond to this soon.

I love our library. They are helpful. Only have problem with parking because parents of school children park in lot to pick up and drop off their kids across the street.

Best place ever!

Although it doesn't do everything the website does, it's often faster and much more convenient to use!

This app doesn't work! It won't let me search for any books!

I love that this exists, but it simply isn't done yet. The interface is just so clunky and unpleasant to use that I'd actually prefer to use the mobile website. Simple things like reactive buttons and non-generic graphics should be basic expectations for any finished product. Even the resolution of various visual elements are incongruent and garish. I really, really, really want this to be good. It needs much more design work before it's there, though.

I enter titles or authors I know the library has and I get no results. If I continue to ComCat then I can see the copies in the minuteman network.

Clunky to use. eBook reader stuff doesn't work on my phone.

So much better than the mobile website, easy to use, quick to do a catalog seach and intuitive. Just love it.
