Miracast Screen Sharing App

This use to be a good app, until it started spamming ads so heavily it either locks up the program to a non ending supply of ads over and over without letting you into the actual program to connect your tv. Or if you do finally get to connect and get past all the land slide of ads thrown at you, it disconnects you after a short while from your tv where you repeat the whole cycle again. Switching to another screen share program without the spam i can actually use.

Very easy to use. Mainly like to play a photo slide show with my iTunes music playing underneath. Connects quickly and automatically; controls very intuitive. Recommended to anyone needing a screen sharing program with a great degree of versatility.

I think it's a good app can use some improvement because when you are connected more than an hour it disconnects from the internet. I have to reset my Wi-Fi connection and then it works fine again. I can see this app has potential to be a great app.

I use this app with with a ScreenBeam Mini 2 to screen mirror my cell phone or tablet to the navigation in my truck. I bought an after-market adapter to allow me to use my stock Toyota Navigation head unit to watch Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, etc. Makes the long, boring rides a little more tolerable. The 1st app I had used to screen mirror sucked. Always froze up.

All the app did when I selected "screen mirroring" was open the default android Cast menu, a menu easily found in settings. Considering the "screen mirroring" option is the only option that isn't settings/ad related I would say that this app is entirely, completely, and all around useless. Why does this even exist?

I was able to click on the app and start using almost immediately. I wasn't really able to go from one thing to the next with the ease I planned on. When I wanted to exit the app I couldn't find it. Also, the rating, share and volume buttons were it plain sight when I went to exit the app, not the at all the whole time I was using it. I mentioned the things I did so they can be fixed but, the app is a good one and I appreciate being able to use it...thank you!

I downloaded this SPECIFICALLY because I need to use the Miracast protocol to screencast my Pixel 5 to a Sony Blu-ray device that does NOT support Google's proprietary Chromecast protocol. My prior Samsung phone has a SmartView equivalent of Pixel ScreenCast, and SmartView works FINE with the Sony via Miracast protocol. So, one would think that a Miracast app would work fine. NOPE. The Miracast app does not support Miracast protocols on a Pixel. It seems to only rely on what's built into the Android phone. So it does not give me any more value than the built-in Screen Cast -- and it adds advertisements. This is no use to me and poorly named.

Opened app then nothing happens after advertisement. Update: App finally opened after some closing and reopening of app. Will pause for at least 5 sec then will play an ING ad every time, which is really very annoying. Unable to detect my LG TV.

Didn't work on my LG Stylo 5 unlocked phone. Definitely not the app problem I think this phone is missing the Hardware that gives you the ability to mirror. I tried see you more apps with the same result it doesn't find my LG TV but my LG v40 phone find and connect to it no problem without any third party apps.

Not what i was looking for at all. I expected to be able to control my phone screen via my pc. Instead i had a slightly larger screen not much bigger than my phone and i had to do everything with my phone. There is really no point in this.

Used to work, now it doesn't connect. The constant ads are annoying and I wonder if that's the cause of the app not working properly anymore. Useless. Wish I could give 0 stars.

Skipping audio every 2 seconds throughout movies. I deleted this and installed Web Video Caster. Works 100% better, no skipping and you can use your phone while casting without interpretation.

Useless without WiFi. The point of Miracast is to not require WiFi, it's its own protocol. First step with this app is a request for WiFi. Waste of time.

it works as intended, on same wifi network with firetv stick, but you must have a receiving app enabled before you connect. you can down load one from Amazon. next test connecting to mirascreen dongle.

Sucked! Ads! Ads! Ads! Won't find my TV either. TV is ready to go, but this app won't find it. 😒

It works like it says it will. I'm not sure if it's the app or my phone that cuts out occasionally during movies. But I still enjoy the app either way.

only sound is coming in tv and not the picture, when movie is played. its of no use. but you tube movie is coming / screen sharing is done. can any one guide how to get disply of movie on TV by miracast app.

Fancy shortcut for going to the Settings > Cast area but that's it. Otherwise just an ad display nuisance. Worthless.

It does not connect and is very frustrating. I was excited when it works yesterday. It's unpredictable. I keep learning but it does not work

Doesnt work without wifi. Tried this to cast movies over 4G as my internet connection is expensive. Everyone states this works without 2 devices on same wifi, and it does not.

The best easy-to-use app! No Chromecast device is required, just start the app and watch everything you need on the TV.

It works immediately,very simple to connect,some bug should be fixed,it is very easy ap to connect with smart TV or projector,I love this app.

Paying for something before trial ends sends warning signals up! Then to make it impossible to cancel was the next issue. Had to go thru Google help desk,and spent way to much time on doing just that.

Just an ad placed in between a shortlink to the cast menu in settings. Doesn't actually support Miracast unless your phone already supports it.

It works on my LG smart tv, the inbuilt cast screen feature in my phone just didnt seem to work, this app saved me. But it has way too many ads though.

Well I enjoyed it while it lasted.. no longer mirrors my samsung tv from my samsung phone.. not sure what happened along the line but not working. any longer.

Not a true MIRACAST. Another Dev that needs to look up what MIRACAST actually is. This is a bog standard dlna casting app. Miracast is a direct WiFi. Phone to TV. Not phone to a shared network.

doesnt deliver miracast as in description, instead shows you a few ads then gives you a cast button that just opens the settings page. I thought this ap might get around googles disgusting choice to remove miracast from android, no such luck.

This app has changed my whole life! I live way out in the country and was able to get everything I needed through my phone and onto my TV beats cable or having to have satellite TV or Internet!!!
