We have a Samsung smart tv, I tried many apps. So far it is the only one which allows me to stream photos and videos from my phone to tv. It works!and it is for free. Only one problem, there is no sound when I stream video.

Useless RUBBISH... ...because, although I have a total of four (Windows) PC's in my home, this App. will only ever discover one, (the SAME one), EVERY time. If I turn that one off, and try ANY of the other 3 separately, the media selector just remains blank, so this App. just isn"t worth wasting storage space for. I can understand why its rating is so low! PS:. Just realised this App. hasn't been updated in FOUR years! (Since Jan.2014). No wonder it's useless...the Dev. has NO interest in it, so don't bother using!

Quick and easy ! Tried it out with my vizio smart tv and an older Phillips tv , much to my delight, both worked great! Good job!

Does not find devices and servers in local network.

This app is exactly what I was looking for, as a replacement for XBMC. It works great on my nexus 7 but unfortunately it does not work on my Odroid U2. I suspect that the wired network connection of the odroid is not handled. KXCast expects a WiFi network. Would have been a 5 star if this was working.
