Notifications-Starting today, 071920, I am getting non stop notifications in every language. My settings say only to provide booking notifications.
I love the concept, but boy, this app is very buggy. Text boxes are hard to type in because they don't expand when you enter text into them, so if you need to revise review what you wrote, you have to rely on moving the cursor manually which is super sensitive. The host of the house seemed to have a lot of trouble reviewing my messages too.
Worst app ever. BEWARE this app charges BOTH HOST AND GUEST. And pricing is 'deceptive'. I found a place that was listed at about $85 per night. I stayed for two nights. I was charged $271! They did this by deceptively posting the upcharge in fine print on a separate scroll-down page. If you don't have good WiFi, this page won't appear.
I've had good experiences staying with mrb&b but this app needs a lot of work. On the android, it's hard to navigate using the map and it lists rooms in Madrid when I search for Montreal. The desktop version is also bad. Fix this app please. I'm a software developer. It's so frustrating, I'll fix it for you if you want. 😂
We both host and travel using Mister B&B. We have had nothing but great experiences and met some terrific people who have become friends. The app works well for the most part, and i can use it on the go when i need to make a reservation or change or cancel one. It is easy to use. Most of the time i get immediate responses when i request to stay with someone, and when hosting i always try to respond within 4 hours of receiving a notification. I recommend this app!
I've tried to use this app a few times, with no luck. Then the most recent time I had an incredibly weird interaction with a host the day before I was set to arrive. Their customer service was incredibly subpar. Ad much as I'd like to support this app, I'll be using Airbnb as I so regularly have. So many fewer issues, hosts don't cancel as regularly, and their customer service understands the importance of the customer experience.
The app is easy to use & available in many languages. There is a good variety of accommodation at 👍 prices. Personally, I had very good experiences with the hosts I've stayed with, everyone is friendly and open to show you around! Definitely recommend, best LGBT-friendly company 👏
Excellent potential for supplying customers with information to assist them in making a choice.
Menus not fully intuitive. Message system diffecult to send messages, have not figure out how to delete requests declined. Missing option to continue dialogue with hosts, go to have seprate entry point for this social network. Map and sesrch shoukd be made easier to diffecult get overview. Maybe accumulated information on erea level with number of available rooms, price ranges and ratings. Easier to find will not take so long time. Maybe add rating of ereas by service, public transport, venues
Have met good people through this. Glad it connects queer people through the world. It's my preferred accommodation ap. Really frustrating that it does not specify the currency. Uses $ in Aus and NZ for host and guest and I never know which of the 2 it is or whether it is USD! Also no explanation of its hotels etc
Ten minutes into setting my account, the app is full of error messages, won't respond to clicks and I can not sign in on my computer using the same Email Address and Password I used to sign up for the Mobile App! (and I'm using a flagship phone). the App is painful to use! Do not use this service, save yor time and effort for something that actually works! p.s The whole service seems to be created by amateurs who know nothing about how services work. A total failure.
Way too expensive. They added a 12 EUR fee (for themselves not the host) after the booking, which was almost one night price. On the listing the price was way lower. I checked with the host, and in our case of a 3 night stay in Sofia, Misterb&b took ONE THIRD (!!) of the price. Cannot recommend.
its a great idea however roperties were already booked and are showing available. the app wants to pre charge you money to book a property thats already not available. i suggest messaging the host FIRST! Then if its available follow up with the booking. Either all the host are liars and also use airbnb or the app is out to benefit from charging you money and tben canceling your trip. this event occured in Miami for a host that had instant book. Had booked then we would have been a mess.
I give it 3 stars because it's in between a yes and a no. The prices on the app are not the real prices and you can not see the rate details( service fee, cleaning fee etc.) On the app. You can only see it on Desktop not app.
App is good but no hits if youre a host and if youre looking to stay at someones place they rarely write back and if they do they are booked. Even worse to use in Europe as they take days to write back and by that time Ive already secured a hotel for much cheaper. They need to encourage hosts they have 24 hours to confirm or deny or face a lower listing rank.
It's ok and needs work. I'm an investor in the crowdfunding campaign and thought it would be a good idea to have the app. While it does most of what you can do on a website, the biggest flaw is not being given the total amount for the accommodation. You can only seem to send a request to the host. On the website version you know how much your stay will cost before trying to book stay. Because of this, I uninstalled the app and will only use the website. Fix this flaw.
Very useful. This app allows me to host fellow LGBT guys and make new friends around the world! I hoghly recommend it. Some minor bugs were experienced mainly with push notifications but they are usually fixed very quickly.
good except when when i needed to get a partial refund cause my host had made a mistake on the last night of our stay. And was very nice about asking us if we could find somewhere else to stay cause they had a friend coming in town from europe staying with them. However trying to get in touch with anyone who could refund us our last night. instead we got charged for a change on our reservation.
Customer support is unbelievably bad. Many bugs, poor features, lack of information for hosts to manage their listing. Their system makes plenty of errors and they refuse to intervene, leaving you with due amount or issues getting paid. And customer support agents are clueless. So, so, so, bad.
I haven't had a bad experience at any of the places I've booked. So easy and using the verified listing during covid let me feel safe.
Site and app are great... the additional fees that are not revealed until way into the process AFTER you have fallen in love with a place seem excessively HIGH. Just a warning...
I booked an accommodation for June 28th to July 1st and paid a deposit and had problems with the first booking, so misterb&b said they'd refund my deposit, but that never happened. I rebooked and paid fully the second time, but still my first deposit never got refunded. Not acceptable.
The concept is great, but I've missed 3 clients because push notifications don't work. You have to open the app every day in order to catch reservation messages :(
Love the company, the app is frustrating. It's weird how you can see the start of a review, but you can't read the full review in the app and need to go to the web site to view it. It's also challenging to modify a reservation.
