Mixcloud - Radio & DJ mixes

They really need to fix the app. The website experience is fine but mobile experience is terrible. Extremely buggy and crashes all the time, won't stay open, won't load searches, too many things to list. I wish this app worked better, it used to be ok but has gone downhill rapidly. A shame since so many DJs radio stations etc use this and I like being able to subscribe and get extra features and support everyone but hard to do that when mobile experience is this bad and unusable.

The app all around OK but some small basic functions like commenting and the music feed don't work well. Also, when going into the browse section, if I play a set I have found then press browse again it just sits at a white screen unless I reload the app completely which is frustrating. I like what Mixcloud is going for and I think if was consistently functional it would be my go music app. Until all that is worked out, I don't think it's worth paying a monthly fee. Soundcloud for now.

Love mixcloud as a platform but its let down by the buggy mobile app which crashes too often and messaging isnt possible on the mobile app either. Update: Recently the app has become nearly unusable due to crashing "Unexpected error" message every few minutes. I always have the larest version installed and have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no benefit. The developers have a lot of work to do to fix the app

The service is good, but it's crippled by the app. This app is so badly broken I don't understand how it's published. - covers up notification bar so you can't see the clock or notifications with black bar. Why? - you can't get into setting, share, or do anything in your profile. Click any menu option, nothing happens. - unbelievably slow. You can actually watch the UI elements draw. Lol. I have a brand new Google Pixel, not the phone. - doesn't support landscape orientation. - and more

Rated the app 2 stars b/c it's not upto standard, majority of reviews on Google Play say the same, app issues!!! Look back how long this goes, it shouldn't be rocket science to the ppl at Mixcloud but clearly the msg isn't sinking in, I like the platform & concept, as a DJ it's perfect for me but the app falls way short of the website, it's buggy, it constantly crashes & in particular since the last update, this month I've let my subscription run out, at what point do Mixcloud sort it out??

The app is painful. Music sometimes just stops playing and won't load. When you click something nothing happens for ages. It is so slow!!! Such great music but such a terrible app! Edit: recently the app has been using up a lot of my data! I've re-installed it hoping that might fix the problem.

I was really looking forward to use the app with all the DJs I like but I am unable to hear my favorite mixes because I get an "unexpected error" everytime I hit play. At this point its just taking up space in my phone so I have no choice but to Uninstall. Gave the app 5 months to fix the issue I even reached out in the contact us section

Great mixes and every genre catered for. The app is just awful though. Constantly crashing and constant buffering problems...and sometimes have to scroll through so much just to get the right destination

Dont know why but on samsung s20 plus musuc stops playing after 3 minutes. Granted every permission, power sver option etc. Nothing changes , music stops after a few minutes, same on other device, although there the timeout is about 30 minutes. Very annoying, mixcloud will become useless if this persists. I want to enjoy music playing and not push play again every few minutes

Starting to experience all kinds problems. App stops playing. It won't show my music feed. If change from home to search or library it loses the music feed. It's frustrating.

Why is it when I access mixcloud on the web, I can see my most recent uploads right in the main page, but when accessing it in the android app, I can't find where my personal uploads are to save my life???? This is so frustrating. So far the only way I have been able to find where all of my personal uploads are is when I go to browse and search for my personal name. This is really annoying and needs to be changed.

Excellent for music but the android app is bad. Pages dont load, screen Refreshes constantly making it unusable to select or find music. Seems particularly bad when on 4g compared to WiFi. Please fix

Such a humble and genuine guy, and a great story. Very informative, and amazingly open & honest. So good to be reminded of the music and scenes we were into back then, and it purely being about the creativity, and our passion for it, which bonded us together. Highly recommended 🎵🖤🎶

Disappointing, upon installation it ran okay but after an hour my battery had gone from 89%- 32% with a hot phone , which never happened with any other app. My phone said the processer was overloaded due to background activity . I tried restarting without success. As soon as I uninstall mixcloud l back to normal.

I loved the app a few months ago, now when I try to load my Playlist it says that I need to refresh. I've tried several times and I get same message. I guess whatever update was done it has made it almost impossible to use. Mixcloud, please fix this!! i have done what mixcloud has advised and it has fixed my problem. just delete and re-install and login and you are all set

Loaded with great content but this app is so unstable it should be called Glitchcloud. I have to constantly force stop and clear cache and it still doesn't work as it should even after an update. Instructs me to log into the app while I'm in the app in order to make a payment. 🤦‍♂️ can't access my settings, extremely laggy and I could go on.... #damnshame

Content is great when it plays. Very laggy and buggy app that has gotten worse over the years. Feed and New Shows tabs just go blank. New Shows tab will display properly for a second but after a slight scroll the newest disappears and displays very old shows

Settings option not loading anything on Android Samsung S20+. Uninstall/reinstall did not fix. Update 10/04/2022 - after reinstalling app I could login or get the password reset link to even send me an email from the app. Managed to get password reset email to deliver by requesting via website but had to uninstall app to get password reset link to open in browser as it kept opening via the app but the reset page would not work. Finally logged back into app but still the settings not opening.

Starts automatically every time i restart my phone. Cant close the app within the program. I have to go into app settings on my phone to shut it down. The settings button within the app does nothing. In fairness, so annoyed by the autostart issue that I didnt check the app out any farther. Will give another chance if these two issues are fixed.

It seems that this app takes 3 steps backward for every step forward. The content is great, but there's always something wrong. This version's big problem: the "play" button for individual streams doesn't work. At all. Files can now only be listened to by adding them to a playlist first - an annoying step that defeats the purpose of transient weekly podcasts. Could you perhaps hire programmers who know what they're doing? This has been going on for years now.

It appears they've fixed some major bugs which is great. The app works fine now except, and this is a big exception, when playing music via bluetooth with the screen off, the phone gets unacceptably hot and the battery drains rapidly. This does not occur for any other music playing app. It doesn't even happen when streaming mixcloud directly from the website.

It's a great app when it works. Every year they update it and it doesn't work for two months. Support the DJs on it whenever you can, but don't pay for the premium version. Might as well call this app 'wasted potential' (this was posted 2021, guess what happened this time in 2022? Same thing, the Ap is not working) stop updating it, it worked fine before you ruined it.

I like of course the music on the app. But I find the user interface clunky and difficult to navigate. I never can seem to find the music I want to hear that I've saved in various ways.

I have had a Mixcloud Pro Account since the get go and account for probably a decade now. And the mobile app has found a new way to disappoint me and my audience beyond just freezing on a regular basis but this whole weekend I haven't even been able to contribute to my own chat! That's right... I dont even have a chat dialogue box to interact with my audience in the mobile app. Maybe lest pop-up prompts of "Rate Mixcloud!" and more reliability.
