Can't seem to keep connected to the device long enough to create my sound profile. I tried updating, but that didn't help. Every time I try to do the beep test, the Amiron wireless continuously disconnect. Pretty useless and frustrating. Especially to not achieve the optimal sound on my new $1000 headphones...
Im writing this because I bought a pair of Lagoons and saw the reviews on this app. I was very worried it would require updates, or that the personalisation would be rubbish..Nope. The hearing test is basically the same one they give you when you go to the hospital for one. After completing it, it has perfectlty matched the sound to my pallete. The quality before was brilliant but I felt it lacked something, depth. Not anymore. Very happy. Plus it showed me the touch controls for the headset!
I hate the sound personalization and just keep it off, not because it's bad but because it's simply not to my taste. how is this automated process supposed to know what my sound preferences are, I'd prefer an "advanced" mode where i can manually tweak the equalizer Edit: They added an equalizer but it's not very useful because it only has some presets and you can't edit the points yourself
Updated aventho headphones with firmware update (process convoluted), followed the FAQ on the Beyer dynamic website for Android 7,8,9. App finds the headphones but cannot do the audio test. If I try the test with audio calls disabled like it says on the FAQ page I get a prompt saying headphones not connected with Bluetooth classic (what is Bluetooth classic?). If I do the test with audio calls enabled, I can start the test, I initially hear a tone but that cuts out and when I'm supposed to hold down until the tone goes away in the left ear I hear no tone and the button doesn't do anything. There's no progress in the bar. Worst app I've used period. The is by far the worst experience I've had buying a product. I would buy another product if I was thinking of getting these again. Not worth the price even if the sound is great without the app.
Frustrating. I have xelento wireless. When they work they are fantastic. However, the connection to a phone is nothing short of terrible. Also they have awful distortion when used with the personalisation setting. Also the 6 second hold to power off is madness and unnecessary. Who passed that in the development team. Please let me change it. Lastly, they have no auto power off. Sound great but my cheap bose connect better, don't distort have auto power off and don't take 10 s to standby
Doesn't bond with or initialize my aventho wireless no matter what. I upgraded the firmware, disconnected, re-connected. Tried everything but couldn't bond the headphones. I expected much more from beyerdynamic. The least that could have been done was to mark this app as incompatible with my Android version in playstore or have a message in the app saying my version isn't compatible and save me the frustration.
The connection is really unstable. Much improvement needed to make it useful. As a companion app to a expensive pair of headphones these really disappoint. updated the firmware and the new app. now things appear to be even more broken. the app crashes when trying to connect to the headphone. seriously i can't believe how a company like Beyerdynamic is so poor in this department.
Apparently I am one of like... Eight people? Who got lucky with this app working as intended. Running android 8.0 with Amiron Wireless headphones. The app had some initial confusing messages regarding firmware and connection status but that cleared up by restarting the app (though the app is still 80% sure I am using Aventho wireless). The sound profile is neat; definite noticeable difference in sound profile with it on VS disabled (though the sound can feel a bit aggressive at full intensity).
I love my Aventho headphones but this app really does not perform well. If the headset gets bonded (what sometimes takes multiple tries), I can start the hearing test but after the initial sound no further sounds follow. I clicked many times on the big button below but nothing happens. Android 9 on Xiaomi Note 4 Edit: I reinstalled the app and now it can't even find the headphones even thought they are connected.
Gives you much control over your headphones. The adaptation to ones personal hearing via a quite professional hearing test is particularly noteworthy.
Beyerdynamic covers all my headphone needs with minimal $$. DT990s for movies, games, surround and immersive positional. T51p for speed & portability / EDM & Rock. DT880s for accuracy and listening to the music not the equipment. But now Lagoon ANC and MIY add a whole new DIGITAL listening setup. With all the perks digital allows. Active noise cancelling, BT and the app lets you tune the frequency response curve to suit your individual hearing ability / degradation. Bug free & no ads or BS. A++
The app properly connects to my BlueByrds now and I can run the profile tool... Went through the setup and it certainly makes a difference! However, it seems that every listening session I have to manually enable the preset? Is there a way to just have it enabled at the last setting whenever I connect my headphones?
Decent app. BUT, no matter what I do, the app will not accept my log-on credentials. I created an account. I tried three times; two different email addresses and two different passwords. Each time, the app states that the log-on or password are incorrect. There's something definitely wrong.
With the latest update the app became useless. When I try to personlize my Aventho Wireless, they just start to sound awful, though I'm listening music in FLAC via AptX HD. Seems there is a huge spike around 200-300 hz and the headphones start to sound "boxy" and cheap. Please, fix the issue.
App keeps sleeping so my personalized settings are not always applied and I have to restart the app to reload current profile.
Really useless app. No indication of connection codec. Doesn't shows battery percentage. Not possible to change controlling gestures. Cant see paired devices (no prioritisation for paired devices). I wish you would better add possibility to buy different headphones cups for Amiron Wireless.
I wasted 1200$. I can't connect the earphones to the app it require firmware update, and the only way to update it by mac or win un fortunately neither of them recocnize the earphone.another issue i found is the left is very louder than the right the problem is from the cable it self (the wireless cable ).When I tried the cable it get alot of static white noise. By the way I have more than 3 headphones from beyerdynamic And this one is the only one with issues
I just received my Lagoon ANC headphones, and downloaded the MIY app. It does not function properly at all. I cannot create a sound profile, due to an Error that states I need to check my internet. Tried to skip that, wontblet me enter my date of birth either stating the same error message. Completly disappointed. I just sent back the B&O h9i's because they didnt function well, and these maybe next.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro after update, opened the app and it's found my blue byrd phones, but have still not been able to take the hearing test, if you click start it looks like it's opening a page but then crashes back to the beginning again, with a message " Failed to load personalization flow" so still not able to take the hearing test with Huawei Mate 20 pro, Tried with Samsung tab S4 and success hearing test works. Still won't do the hearing test Huawei M 20 pro even after re installing the app.
The app is useless. Voice prompts re-enable and disturbs audio experience with loooooooong feedback. Lacks equilizer, personal sound makes sound experience worse. It lacks auto-power off. ANC significantly better after last update. Note*: the score reflects the app and software.. The hardware is very good
Headphones: Aventho Wireless Phone: OnePlus 6T Before the last update, I could setup my personal profile without any complications, however, once I started using the sound personalization, I always heard some sort of cracking noise in the background which was a real pain, so I turned it off. After the recent Update, my profile somehow got lost and I had to set up a new one, but: Whenever I try to start the testing process, this really loud noise comes in that blocks the testing beeping. Yikes.
The hearing test on the app does not work with the Pixel 3 and Amiron Wireless combination. No sound comes out during it. The statistic and touch sensitivity control does seem to be working though.
Can't turn off voice prompts. The setting gets forgotten each time. So each time bluetooth looses connection for split second, the 🎧 scream "your headset is connected!!!" which makes me loose 3 seconds of actual audio.
Fantastic application... Sound personalisation is accurate and to my ears' taste. It's a must install combined with a "proper" music player of course...haven't faced any problem so far with the app or the Lagoons
They have fixed some of the serious problems since early 2019 through Mar 2020. Uploading custom profiles to the headphones is still iffy. Als o the hearing test to build the profiles seems more like a reflex test sometimes than a hearing test. I don't think it is doing an accurate job a lot of the time because of that. They should test it with some people older than 25 who might actually need a hearing profile.
I cant connect to my aventho wireless anymore. The app tries to connect via Bluetooth but can't connect. The app fonds tge right headphones but can't establish a connection. Headphones function like normal when hearing music.
Why put a recommendation for this app in the box for my new headphones, that don't work with the app? There is a piece of paper in the box for my DT770s telling me I should this app for personal audio settings. The app does not work with wired headphones so why bother putting it in there?
No issues whatsoever connecting with my incredible Beyerdynamic Amiron headset, though I did update the firmware first which reportedly improves connection reliability. The ear tuning feature is a fabulous addition, opening up the soundstage to a degree only evident when enabled/disabled in the app. An important note however for those unable to update their headset firmware (via PC)... DON'T try using the supplied USB cable as it's a power cable only! Just don't ask me how I know 🤭
