MizuDroid SIP VOIP Softphone

Recently I can't hear any sounds when I receive a call, not sure what happened, I tried wifi, 4G and also VPN connection thinking it was my network, but no sound at all. After Dec.2021 update, I still can't hear anything.

Mi A2-lite. Android One (Q} Works fine with one sip account. If you have two providers it switches accounts around. Both may initially work but eventually an account stops working. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times and still have the same problem. I think there is a config file/folder that needs to be deleted but I can't find it. App has a boat load of settings but navigation is a bit confusing. 3.5 stars.

Full-featured SIP client. Worked well with a single SIP account. Completely broken after I added a second account. It seems to have mixed up the credentials and wouldn't register with either server. It also appears to have sent my credentials to their proxy without warning me, so I now have to change my accounts' passwords to be safe. Not cool.

Probably the best SIP/VOIP app. The only drawback is that it only supports a single VOIP line. Still, the app is easy to setup and configure, intuitive design, compatable with various providers, very customizable, and loaded with features. Also, love the large keypad! Bravo to the developer's. Great app!

Both on Android 10 and 11: Someone calling it and hanging up. Mizu fails to detect call was hung up. Pressing the red hangup button does nothing. Mizu is stuck this way. Subsequent calls aren''t causing it to ring. Second, when phone is sleeping, it fails to run in the background. I would love to see all this fixed, because all the alternatives I find more frustrating to work with and have their share of problems. Edit: still not detecting hangup, stuck, pressing red hangup does nothing, have to kill tasks to get it going again. It's so flaky.

I love this app. So convenient for the business. Keep up the good work, interface could look better but overall I am happy.

I've sent my logs to mizudroid, did not get a response. Currently on WiFi, unless I'm in the app, incoming calls ring, bit there is no way to answer, beyond opening the app. On LTE incoming rarely works at all. Last incoming call I had, caller stopped being able to hear me after about ten minutes. I'll keep the rating at two stars, because outgoing still works frequently.

Does not hang up. I check voicemail hung up and then 3 mins later dialed another number and it was still connected to voicemail and would not hang up. Keeps showing errors about my mic. Audio Keeps cutting out And in. Wish I could remember the app I used before as this one is very bad!

It has been pretty awesome in the past. I've used it to connect to several SIP servers, including Asterisk-based ones, and it works great. However, in the last few months, it has lost my SIP account credentials three times. Since SIP credentials are highly prized by scammers, my password is naturally quite complex, so replacing those parameters is quite a chore. I do hope the developers figure out why this happens. UPDATE: Well, it just keeps happening. Credentials there on Friday, gone on Saturday. I am going to have to replace MizuDroid as it is no longer a reliable SIP client for me.

Used to be a great app. However, since the last update of push notifications and the ability to not put the phone constantly on listening mode to receive incoming calls, I no longer get calls. Even if i manually force the app to run in the background, all the incoming calls do not connect. Call log also do not record the outgoing calls, and definitely do not record the missing calls. My provider is VoIP.ms. Sad, used to be the best free softphone but not anymore.

Great app which nicely replaces CSIP Simple, which I used before. On Note 9, Android 8.1, the Record call function appears to only record my side well, but not the other party. At times I seem to hear the other side very faintly. Also, the mute button allows me to mute myself so the other party doesn't hear me, however, the record function still records my voice.

I noticed one or two interface and connection bugs that were fixed by an update, but on the whole a good softphone. If you want the phone to receive incoming calls need to set Availability settings accordingly. Even then it doesn't use excessive battery.

Even when I set the settings option "Recents - Also display contacts on dial pad page in recent list" to "no" the recents still show making this otherwise great app entirely unusable. I am not going to stare for eternity at every single number that ever tried to call me or I ever tried to call. Not even possible to delete the recents manually! Uninstalled.

Works fine on newer phones. Noticed on older phone (Galaxy S3) that the 3 dot configuration button is missing and the speaker phone will not switch on. My intent was to have that available as a house phone, which works if you complete the initial configuration correctly.

Keeps cutting off outgoing calls after 2 to 3 minutes, making it unusable. Have uploaded the log files twice over the last 2 weeks but have heard nothing from the app developers. I want this app to work but cannot recommend it as it stands.

Almost perfect. Can't easily answer calls when phone is locked. Need to unlock phone first. It won't let me change the ringtone. Just closes itself when I click that setting. Seems like a bug.

After waiting for almost a year for the new version, it turns out the bug I reported is still not fixed. Our voip service uses asterisks in the username, which seems to be problematic for MizuDroid. After sending logs again with no reply whatsoever again, I'm finally giving up. This is a great, great sip client when it works, but if it's not you're on your own. Zoiper and all other client I tried work first try.

EZ to install and configure with mySIP provider. Reinstalled on a Pixel 4a Android 12. Though calling works, an incoming call does not audibly ring, just the answer/reject function. I checked a bunch of permissions (had to turn on Mic) and NOTIFICATIONS, along within the app SETTINGS, but nothing looked incorrect.

By jove! It seems to almost work, on Chrome OS no less. I am in! There's some "unbounded local" error, but I'm working on it, and it registers and rings through, just doesn't connect.

Great App, I love the PUSH proxy feature. This might be a problem depending who you ask but in my Galaxy S8+ everything looks small, the UI doesn't scale with the phone resolution, I would like an option to increase font size.

I thought my last SIP client was bad. This one overloads the CPU; drops toll free calls and won't let me resume them except muted; disappears buttons if someone calls while I'm already on a call; and for days on end doesn't accept incoming calls. A disgrace.

It's looks okay but there is no option to draw over other apps Also always stopped after exit even I stopped the battery optimization for it and activated all option to keep running. Also video call option should be placed in the main keypad interface.

After me begging and pleading for support and telling them I would pay to get this working - nothing no response. I can make outgoing calls but incoming when in the app either ring once then forward to my voicemail or just directly to my voicemail. When im not in the app it won't stay registered and I don't get any incoming calls. I needed this for my business phone and willing to pay for support. Be advised if you have a business dont use this software because when you need support none!!

Only problem I have (at the moment) is it shuts down when phone in standby. Makes it pretty useless really. Update 12/20 Still pretty useless. Disconnects from VoIP service when phone on standby. I wouldn't know what log you're looking for. Sorry, not for me.

Installed on my Android 10 phone, using this with an existing VoIP account, so far so good.
