Handsome watch at a good price but turn out to be a failed experiment ... a bit of a gimmick. Movado makes decent watches, but they are over there heads when it comes to smart devices. Watch will not pair after trying everything ... and I mean everything.
This is not Swiss quality I was used to know. The app struggles almost everytime to connect to phone. Restart the phone usually fixes it, but it's totally annoying! Too many permits asked for without being used by the app! It definitely needs a total rebuilt. Mine even changes my data/birthday and weight! So, for what it serves, it does not serve fundamental info. Rethink the whole thing, machet das Zügs besser, aber subito! Und wenn Dir das nid verschtöht, schicket dä Kommentar i'd Schwiiz!
Had my watch for 3 years and have had trouble syncing in the past. Replaced battery in the past. Today it stopped completely. App can't find watch. Played with blue tooth (kept dropping) rebooted phone. Uninstalled and reinstalled app. Unpaired watch in app. Now nothing connects. Very frustrating!
Cannot send feedback from app - complains of network connection which is incorrect. The app loses Bluetooth access, only solved by rebooting phone (Bluetooth toggle, airline mode, clear cache doesn't work). Weirdly the app shows it loses Bluetooth access because the watch icon in top right becomes grey instead of blue.
UPDATE 2/5/2020 I tried again on my new s10 with same results. The app is not compatible with the lg v30 slim Q on android 8 or 9. The Bluetooth sees the watch but the app does not. It works on my old phone g4 and my wife's k20 plus but not the one that matters. Sent the watch to movado and they confirmed the watch is fine. I've done all of the trouble shooting steps with movado tech support 4 times with no luck. Mmt tech support hasn't been any help either, they haven't replied to 2 emails.
Finally figured out how to connect on new pixel. On the old Samsung it worked. On the Google pixel just switching on Bluetooth is not enough. U need to activate the sharing option and it connected in the matter of seconds. The app itself is better than the previous avatar I had.th watch is great though even when not being used a smart watch (synchronising the hands would be problem though)
very buggy software. support nonexistent. on my oneplus 3t I need a trick to create connectivity (open app, open BT manager, press watch button, click on watch in BT manager and immediately switch to MMT app, wait for can't connect error, press watch button again, great success) watch settings are displayed incorrectly in the app various crashes Feedback through the app is not possible (network error), contact me at michael42(at)saidin(dot)ch
The link to mmt.ch from the app does not work (claims an internet connection is required) and the data is not backed up in the cloud since September 2019. Also, I could find no way to download my data.
wont connect to my frederique watch! SOLVED! I had to unpair the watch from the app on my old phone. It then connected just fine to the new phone. FOR ANYONE STUCK TRY TO UNPAIR THE WATCH FROM OLD PHONES - THERE IS NO WAY TO DO THIS ON THE WATCH.
I got a new phone and now the app will not connect to my watch. Very frustrating. Not sure why the last update for this app was more than half a year ago when there are clearly bugs that still need to be fixed.
Wont sync on Frederique Constant FC-285. Poor functionality, zero help - "turn Bluetooth on and off" not really cutting it - no escalation path. would not recommend.
Update 2: Finally connected to iPad. Damn it! Watches 1200€ and phone 400€ works like it was free. Update: Watches were unpaired already. What should I do if old phone is broken? Buy new watches? Great! FC-285X5B4/6 does not pair with Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, Android Pie though I have no problems with other devices connecting to the phone. ... Conclusion: either use mechanical Swiss watch or experienced vendor smartwatch. Don't mix if you don't want to have problems with lame soft or firmware.
My watch does not pair? it did for the first year. One day, stop and I tried to re connect but it is imposible, does not connect to bluetooth anymore, I tried everything Movado said on instruction and nothing works. Worse, at Movado, nobody knows anything. They couldn't helped me. Sad.
It used to work now say app closing for some reason can not connect to watch to set time totally useless, why doesn't this work anymore, will not connect, totally a waste of my money,i need to contact fcc about this,4 years since original review and still no changes

It's only sometimes connected with the watch. defenly the watch because other Bluetooth device do work great on the phone. can you please fix this!

it really is the worst watch..extremely dissatisfied..After paying a hefty amount, doesn't even show time.Already got it fixed 2 times still stops functioning all of a sudden..such a waste
One of the worst made apps I've ever seen. It does not let my watch connect, making the watch useless. Please, if you're buying a watch that says it's using this platform, don't.
Used to connect to my Nexus 6p and now it no longer does which is impossible to change time on it for instance ... Very bad and disappointing!
Took several hours to get it to finally connect to mondaine watch. Works properly now, slow sync compared to other connected watch apps.
The app is very enriching, very detailed and well synchronized with the watch. It is a must have.
It is an awesome help in getting you to notice deficient sleep and focus on getting more than enough to be able to perform the next day!
In the last month it has stopped connecting to my watch. Now I can't even set alarms or change time.

My watch hasn't been able to pair and there fore hasn't been operational for months now, I've requested help via the App without success.
slightly buggy with connection. my main issue is I have an alpina and a Frederique constant that both use this app. I can add both watches to the app and change between them fine but my alarm cannot be set to an individual watch. very annoying when one is on my wrist vibrating and the other in my watch cabinet vibrating. if you can add more than one watch this should be controlled individually as it will be sending notifications to both watches if in range also.
