This app is unusable as is. Let people view these parks/areas on a map, not just as a list. The search feature is basically useless. For example, I search "Onondaga Cave" and received a whole list of results... for everything except Onondaga Cave. Even if you find the park you're looking for, it provides little information. Give hiking maps, let people reserve a campsite, etc. There just isn't much useful in this app.
good but having issues downloading maps. when i first got the app i was able to download maps and use them offline or where i don't get service but lately they all fail regardless of if I'm on Wi-Fi or 4g/3g. 5 stars if fixed. edit: fixed map download issue 5 stars
Really neat concept. Love it. It would be really nice if an "area brochure" section would be added to areas where available. Overall, this is a wonderful companion app to have with the other MDC apps!
I like what this app is. I was hoping it was more of a field guide with information on local plants and animals. Perhaps with pictures, tracks, calls/sounds, etc.
I wish there was a dog friendly option in the features. I love to hike with my dogs and was hoping this would point me in more directions for those options. There is also no bike options and that would be great to see in the future
This is a good start, but there really needs to be an ability to view areas on a map, not just a list. Also need to add more filtering options such as by county.
Is this app still in development? I was looking for hiking trails in MO. Basically, all it contains is a huge list of areas. There is no other information, not even a working map. I will stick with AllTrails for now.
You cannot depend on any information given. One trip with grandkids and canoes to Lesterville access some 250 miles one way took us to an impossible portage to the river. So much for the " boat ramp" . Locals say it's been that way for years. Same true for Castor River. Trout areas with no signs?? Shame on the MDC.
This app is used to be helpful for hunting and finding places to do outdoor activities. This year this app is total useless. I hope they fix it as soon as they can. 2stars for now. Will give 5 starts after get fix. Thanks
Works well for basic information. I like having the regulations, seasons, and maps quickly available for each CA.
Thus app use to be great for looking up places to go. But niw it doesn't work at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and now nothing works at all. Very disapointing.
I'm loving this app, but wondering what the difference is between areas marked with blue and the ones with brown. other than that the app is pretty self explanatory.
MDC apps are always welcomed and a great asset to any Missourian outdoorsperson. MDC programs are phenomenal and it one of the only state organizations that I'm proud to fund with my tax dollars.
It would be nice to have an interactive map you could point and click on to find areas near your current location.
Doesnt have all the state parks such as elephant rock state park. Otherwise great app.
l checked the hunting & camping sections and neither one had Johnson Shut-Ins, Elephant Rocks or Suttons Bluff. The app should have all of the recreational areas in Missouri listed!
Pretty handy app, but I wish it listed state & national parks, not just Conservation Areas.

I loved this app when I first got it. Now it won't show me anything. The only thing I have is the one place I saved.

Great App For Searching By Activity... The feature that would bring the most improvement, is if it would tell you if there is a fee for camping, how much the fee is (if there is), and a link to the reservation site. Also, I'm not sure about the accuracy... According to Picked Ranger, camping is available at Long Branch, in Macon, but it is not listed as available in this app.
