Chess database
- Chess database of ~3M games updated weekly from http://www.theweekinchess.com
- It allows to search for players, events and dates from the section Database in the main sidebar
- It can search specific positions from the board with ⋮-> Search position in DB
- Searching a board position shows stats including, for each move, the number of games where the move was played and the white victory/draw/black victory percentages as bars
- From the stats screen you can list all the games in the current position with ⋮-> Show games
PGN browser
- Simple PGN browser, allows you to open PGN files from SD card or from your email

- From Settings -> Analysis -> Analysis engines you can download and install engines from our servers

A great interface

This is the only app I ever bought since July of 2010. I couldn't live without it. Nowadays, I mostly just use the "Problems" section. After I've solved the problem, I'll go back to the beginning of the problem and select "Play Position". I may play each problem's position 100 times or more.
Great app! Have been using it for many years now. Reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that I have recently moved to a phone that has no SD card and can no longer save my online games as it seems there is only an option to do so to SD card!
The best for games on the move. All functions faultless. Reliable online. Strong enough engine for ai. Nice interface. Pretty, like me ... and clear/ logical, unlike me. ;-)
Something happened to the database, when I set the position in order to find games in the database an error pops up that says "position not found" e.g. 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 Nc6 3 Bb4 Nf6 4 d4 exd4 then trying to find this position is when I get the error :(

Good app. But I updated to 5.4.1 and saving of online games no longer works.
This G U Is has been Chess League Champion once and Winner stays on Champion once. Now the app has started crashing.
Abandoned... Too bad... It was a fun little app!

The best chess server I'll ever played

Current version: check notification very often broken. Shouldn't have updated it on my tablet. On my phone i still have 5.3.5 and i will keep it.
I regret spending money on this app. I cant use the server unless I use an old username that traumatizes me. I cant delete old account. They wont let me make a new one. I don't even want to play the com anymore. This is depressing.
I don't know if it's the app, or if people are manipulating the server stamps, or what. But I keep getting deep into games only to find, after waiting out my opponent's time, that the connection was severed at some point, without warning or indication. What makes it worse is that some immature opponents like to let their time run on when they know they can't win. Not knowing which situation I'm in is annoying and this app is getting less and less enjoyable for me as a result. Good app, otherwise.
No longer works on my Samsung S6 after the last update. Hangs indefinitely at "Authenticating". Update December 2018: Working much better now. I still don't know why my seeks do not display in the "Offers" list.
WHY is the seek screen WHITE!? It is a real bummer when you need wait for several minutes for a game, and you have a bright white screen to wreck your eyesight and drain your battery... And chat feature is confusing.. kibitz? what? But other than those issues: I LOVE THIS APP! BEST FREE CHESS ON THE PLANET! PROBABLY THE BEST FREE CHESS IN THE UNIVERSE TOO!
The app is uncappable to recover from minor break up in Internet connection. You get "network error" and a lost game over and over. Unable to chat with other users. I have canged my review.
Great chess AI. Really tough game! Laid out intuitively. This is my only PlayStore chess app. Also, online play is smooth w/ no glitches. Extensive library & AI game analysis.
The best
Keeps crashing every time I try to adjust UCI options for any of my engines, except Carbalo. Error installing Komodo engines/ Chiron but not Stockfish. Could you also add under analysis: number of nodes searched/ number of nodes per second searched? Also could you add the ability to download other engines from the Internet (arasan,bikjump,bobcat, etc) to play against/ analysis?
Really hard to find the option to turn off the annoying, distracting arrows that highlight the most recent move.
1) It would be good if I could see which problems I've soved and which I've failed. Maybe a checkbox I could check myself, because some of the problems are based on mistakes done by the opponent. Thanks! 2) And also a button to change who is to move when you play against the computer would be nice.
Great app. Not the best at any one single aspect, but certainly the best complete package as a whole. Great work. Edit:-Getting better with each update.
My favorite Chess app! The computer can't play against the computer or engine against engine. Otherwise, it's and excellent Chess app with 3D capability. It also has 31 levels of for each engine and 8 different engines for a human to play against! Multiple choices for the board and pieces. It's a pretty serious Chess app!
