actually this application deserves more than 5 stars but I put 4 to attract developers to read 😆 first of all and the most important note is that the application doesn't work properly at night also with flash on! and the used camera should have some additional controls to enable night mode or zooming!! detection is great but 5akes a while. seems that it detects only 1 plate at a time. and finally, it should direct the plates in different positions even if the cars are not straight!
I really can't recommend this App. I paid for the full app as I needed to in order to in order to use the white list feature and other features. But this feature is useless as all it does is only recognize plates if they are in the white list. Otherwise you get no recondition at all. Accuracy is unusable. And then I can get 5 or so different results for one plate in a single second and none of them are right. If I had more room I would elaborate.
(using the the UK) Fairly good, can take a few seconds to scan a plate have a few minor errors but that is correctable as you get a photo of the plate as well, love the black lost feature would be nice off you could add information as to why it is blacklisted. Overall seems like a good app
Doesn't recognize plates from any US state I've tried, and I've tried over a dozen. $70 US is a LOT of money for an app that does not work (regardless of optimal lighting, orientation, angle, and proximity). Also, I'm using a brand new Note 20, so its not the camera. Spare me the generic blanket "we'd like to hear more about your problem" response. Refund or GFYS.
app has a lot of potential. i work in the security industry id like to see a feature where we can enter license plate information into the app for vehicles of persons not allowed on property. also having problems getting the app to actually read license plates checked the settings and it is set for american license plates i tried to get to work by walking up to cars or by the cars and even driving by very slowly not one plate was read.
Useless in Canada. Refuses to read any of my cars with Ontario plates. It just doesn't see the plates even in perfect sunlight and right up close. Tried portrait and landscape mode. Developer should just make it an OCR reader with a database. I need an app like this to enforce visitor parking on private property. I'm willing to pay for it. But not if it can't even do what it advertises.
Tried several times , even uninstalling and reinstalling ,and it will not capture plate most of the time. The very few times it did it was always incorrect. Tried others apps with much better capture results except they didn't have the white & black list features offered here. Will keep searching.
Very good ANPR scanner and it's free! I'm happy with full photo scan and e-mail notification altough these are premium features. Keep up the good work!
It scanned the 1 numberplate 20 times and not 1 of them says the actual numbers. All are wrong. Ends in 204 but most are letters, FTW or HJK or some other random letters. 100% wrong and a joke of an app. Cant even copy what it sees.
Wow, terrible recognition. 3 feet away and failed to read correctly 15 times. Pay per feature is a terrible model. $75 for all features at once it's too much for an essentially useless app.

getting better.....I have updated this review to 5 stars and purchased the ad free version as max soft continues to update and improve their LPR app. I am pleased with the results I get. I currently utilize this app in California; USA
Seems very promising. Configured it for Romanian LPs, and didn't worked at first. After the update works perfectly.
I love e-mail notifications and zoom option. Very useful for scanning car registration plates!
This could be cool but it hasn't actually got a single plate number without errors 7s appear as 1s 50% of the time and it's adding a random M at the start of allot of plates
Scanned a brand new plate in great lighting conditions but only 3 of the 6 characters on the plate were correct.
Does not work. I tryed my own license plate, responded with nothing found. I will update when fixed. Thank you.

It is not working . More huge application but not used full .It's graphics is too low .
free.. that's the operative word. you need to be 3 feet or less !! haha.. text to speech can better be used to log plates down

Funny! I tried to scan some number plates but it is not working, it says start and then stop but I get nothing!
Im glad i didnt opt in for for the paid ver yet. I scanned my plate 7 times each time was not the right number. Plz fix

Too expensive. Doesn't attempt to detect plate until vehicle is too far past.
Great App, works pretty well in portrait mode! Thank you! (Country = Hungary) I miss the support of landscape mode on my Samsung phone, and to let the application run in the background, without displaying the video stream, that would especially useful at night.
