Ok, thanks to another reveiwer, I created a new email-based account. It asked for a phone number as part of the process, and ended up linking to my old account. Some kind of instruction from the app creators would have been nice! I still get errors when scanning receipts, and it tells me it can't assign points. However, when I scan again, it says the points have already been assigned. Very buggy for a re-built app that always used to work perfectly!
The recent update now requires a login. Existing users are confused since in the past a login wasn't required. Many think they've lost points, maybe some have. I followed the directions (which aren't easy to find) and got all my points connected to the new login account. Make sure you know the phone number associated with your points. The upgrade could've been handled better.
This app was great before the update. I can't login. I created a new account, but then it pops up that my account already exists. When I request a new email for a confirmation code, no code is ever sent. There is no way to contact Mobile Bytes through the app, so I'm stuck in limbo not being able to scan receipts or access previous points. This new update didn't provide any details or information when you log on to be successful. Extremely disappointing!
I've had problems since they updated the login to include email. I followed the instructions to create an account. But when I get to verifying my phone number it never sends me a verification code. I've tried multiple times on different days. And when I try to contact mobile bytes for help the form to contact them shows "oops something went wrong" so I can't get help. Very frustrating!!
Garbage. Tried scanning my code several time and it say invalid code. UI is terrible. Asian characters all over the place. Not sure why any restaurant would use this app.
Neither the mobile app nor the website will allow me to create an account. The mobile site radio button for accepting the terms does not work on my pixel 5. Very frustrating.
This app is difficult to navigate, but I'm able to make it work. Also, why are all of the navigation buttons in Japanese?? Is there an English version??
Use this everytime. Does exactly what it's suppose to do. Absolutely no login issues.
Very useful before this update. Now I'm forced to create a user ID with an email address, and it crashes every time that I try to login. It does this on multiple devices. Now I have no access to my rewards. Edit: New update today for bug fizes. Tried to log in, still crashes immediately after login. Tried to create new account with previous data, since this was the way to do it previously. I reconized my account already exists. Account seems to be good, the app however still is bad.
At first I couldn't log in. I had to recreate my account. Once that was all done it keeps giving me an error when I scan a receipt and I don't get my points. I even uninstalled the app and reinstalled it to see if that would fix it. It didn't. Still can't get credit for me points.
Very hard difficult app to use. Cannot copy paste credit card info, cannot use G Pay, order history is sorted old to new, app hangs, etc. Web app is better but it too has issue when attempting to access and only works on incognito tab on phone now for some reason (error: Disallowed key characters). Uninstalled app.
Went through the account creation process as a first time user. Verified my email successfully. The app then wanted to verify my phone number, but never sent a text. I attempted to resend multiple times, and even logged out and back in (as my email was verified). Now says I have exceeded my attemts to verify my phone number and won't let me do anything else. Useless in its current state.
Pretty bad app. Forgot my password and the app won't let me click the link to reset. I sent an email to the app support team and they never emailed back. Finally was able to hit the "forgot password" link, and the confirmation code never was sent to my email even though it was entered correctly. I am basically locked out for eternity. 🤷🏻♂️
This app is absolutely awful. I am a regular customer at my local sushi restaurant that uses this app. I finally made it to my "gold" reward which is $100 off your order. I was so excited to be able to order a free meal for the night. When I went to use the app I was not able to place my order because there is a minimum charge of $25 required to place an order and when I called the restaurant they told me that that was entirely controlled through the app and there was nothing they could do.
No stars! I had $30 saved up at a favorite restaurant that is now wiped out due to inability to access my account. I believe I set mine up either with the Facebook option or my phone number but now it's asking for an email... no email is associated with my account. This needs to be fixed!
The app made me do an update. Since then I can not get into my account. I have requested a password reset several times. I never get the password reset email. I had a ton of points on the account before the app forced me to update. I'm afraid they are probably all gone.
Overall very good, however occasionally it indicates a double charge when no reward was given, additionally if you receive a reward the app does not give credit for the portion of the bill that the reward did not cover. These errors should not be happening. 3/9/20 new version does not recognize my email?
Don't panic! Kind of inconvenient. New log in screen should explain this! Just create a new login using your email address. You'll also be prompted for your phone number. Both will be confirmed with verification codes and your entire order history and points are still there!
Tried to recreate account with email address. When I get to verifying my phone number it will not send a text with the 6 digit code required. When I tap on Resend Code it says, "User already verified". I cannot proceed from that point. Poorly done "upgrade".
Having the same problem as Theresa Casper! I loved mobilebytes, then one day it asked me to login. Password will not work and reset never sends the email with confirmation code. I have lost so many points, I am totally bummed and there is no way to contact help. If they would let me login and scan my receipts I would give this app 5 stars! It's like free food! Dang it
I have made 3 purchases at the same restaurant in less than 30 days and no points have been awarded yet for any of them. I spent almost $100 between the purchases. But, Two other restaurants have worked just fine. And thereisno way to contact customer service within the app to get this updated. How else can I get those rewards added?
Terrible app. Purchasing food through the app should automatically save in history but it doesn't. App crashes on the way to pick up and doesn't come back. Since there is no history saved, restaurants don't have record.
The app no longer works now that they require an email. After I enter email and PW, it wants to send a code to my phone and it never sends, then it just locks up. I'll give it another month to be fixed and then I guess I'll just delete it
I used this app for points but now, I can't access them. I can't make a new account because it doesn't send a confirmation code to my phone number. I tried entering in a previous email I used but it doesn't accept that either. It also doesn't send me any email to reset my password.
Verification code is never receives, tried multiple times and no code is ever granted. Deleting app
Did a required update and now all my loyalty rewards are gone. I cant do forgot password cause it says I havent verified my account and they dont have a verification resend it only happens o sign up which they never did for current users in the system. Their app is poorly designed, stay away use other apps for loyatly
Can't log in and it says i don't exist as a user. Updated yesterday so maybe just the classic update breaks everything. But worked fine when used a few weeks ago. One star until it is fixed or until some option to get some assistance.
There is no customer service what so ever for this app. One day all of a sudden i couldnt log into my account. I tried everything. I emailed the developers several times and never got a single reply. Im missing out on a lot of rewards.
Won't let me log in, and password reset function won't send me the code to complete the process. Very frustrated after multiple attempts to fix the issue.
This app used to be very easy to use. However, not it's pure rubbish. You can no longer paste in any of your login values so those of us with any sort of password management application are completely unable to use it. In addition, you're logged out every few days making the process even more cumbersome and painful. If any business is thinking about using it for rewards, there are many other user and mobile friendly options to choose from.
