I have the same issue so many other have -- it worked fine on my last phone (LG Stylo 4) but not on my current one (Moto G Stylus). I even bought another Mobilelite Wireless (G3, the last one was G3 Pro), thinking the issue was the hardware. But this app just won't connect to either device, and Kingston seems to have left users high and dry. 😕 When I has ES File Manager I didn't even need to use the Kingston app... but of course that came with other problems
Does not work on a Xiaomi Mi A2 lite running Android One 8.1. The phone will connect to the MobileLite but it does not recognise the SD card or usb thumb drive are connected. Also will not allow me to use the pass through internet when trying to connect the MobileLite to my home WiFi router. Works slighty better with my iPad 6th gen, i can access connected storage, but still can't use the pass through internet. The device is a great device in theory but the app is buggy and unreliable.
Works but inconsistent. Can retrieve photos using my newest Android 7 phone but can't view video. Can view video on my Android 4.4.2 but cant see photos. Photo Backup works.
Worked the first time I used it but was extremely slow, now it won't show files from sd or usb at all, only native files from Phone. Droid Turbo 2.
Works on Samsung S9 running Android 9 but does not run on Moto G4+ running Android 7.1.1. On the Moto phone it connects but never shows any memory or the firmware version.
Contents of attached SD cards or USB mass storage devices don't show up in this app's UI (web interface does show it though)
SD & USB doesn't show up in file explorer. The iOS app works on my iPhone but this android app doesn't work on my pixel 2 with v9.0
Android 7.1.1, does its job without any issues. No unexpected crashes or anything bad so far.
After taking the time to download it understanding that it was a free app it comes to the point to worry you're going to transfer a photo and it tells you to download another app at the rate of $4 a month not exactly free and where I come from they call that well we'll just say not telling the truth.
worked first time. could do with a progress bar for copying files from sd to hdd.

keyboard on Android 9 doesn't pop uo, so no way to access fully
Works as intended using Samsung Galaxy S8 with Android 8 and also on Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 with Android 8.1.

Terrible app!! Can't change settings as keyboard doesn't come up in app. Also can't view any storage media attached to device. Doesn't work on Android 7 but works on an older phone I have lying around. EDIT: Worst product ever. I found a workaround but now that's buggy too, maybe a hardware or firmware problem. Don't rely on this when travelling. Don't even bother.
Going on a trip and realized the app does not work on Galaxy S7 with Android 8.0. The recent views confirm same issue. Had to dig up my old phones with Android 6.0 to get Mobile lite to 4.4.1.16 to work with the G2. Also my old Galaxy S4 running 4.4.0.11 and Android 5.0 works. So much for saving packing space with this product. Kingston you need to show some commitment to testing and product life cycles with OS updates.
Using it in galaxy s6 edge plus. When I copied offline, it appears there and in my file manager. But it didn't appeared in my gallery. It is like a dummy file that I don't know the progress if copied. I'm so disappointed.
Absolutely pant's. Don't work on sony z2 tablet android V6, Galaxy S7 & HTC U11 both on V8. Now left with a piece of rubbish.
Doesn't work on google pixel with Android 8. Please fix that quickly.

Same thing as other 1 star reviews. App is very buggy, mine keeps asking me for a password to access network share, I have not configure one and cant find a default! The good news is file explorer pro can connect to the share via anonymous LAN connection, I can copy files to it and read them so at least I can use the hardware. Kingston please invest some time and money on making the app work for people!
App cannot detect any USB drives or SD cards. Wasted money for a product that doesn't work
The app worked fine when I used my HTC phone with it. But using a Samsung 6, it only allows me to transfer a maximum of 25 files each time ... it crashes if I try 26 or more!!! So it takes hours for me having to sit by the phone to keep making selections to transfer instead of doing it all at once. This is the most frustrating aspect of the app. Other than that, it's actually a pretty good app.
