MobileSheets Music Reader

*******************************************
This app has been replaced by a newer, more powerful version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zubersoft.mobilesheetspro

*******************************************

MobileSheets is one of the first android based sheet music reader applications available on the market. It allows you to carry your entire sheet music (or guitar tablature) library with you wherever you go. It also enhances the experience by providing features that all musicians can appreciate
- annotations, a built-in metronome, music playback from your library, wireless bluetooth pedal support, the ability to jump between pages with a single click, and bookmarking. The best part is being able to quickly find the songs you want in seconds. Setting up your sheet music library takes some initial work, but with a free companion application for your PC, typing in the data is a breeze. Never put up with having to dig around for the sheet music you want again!

NOTE: This application is designed and optimized for 7" and larger tablets. This application does not include any sheet music
- you must provide your own.

The companion app is for your PC and is not included. You can download the companion app here: www.zubersoft.com/mobilesheets/downloads.html

This app doesn't work anymore on my new tablet (won't read my SD, and on download says not compatible, wondering why? I just saw that you released new app, and now this one that I purchased doesn't work anymore, so I have to purchase a new one again?

Does not work with Android 7. Worked with older Android version. Please fix!

I emailed the developer over a year and a half ago suggesting it would be great to be able to freely move around the app while zooming. The developer said it would be involved in an update soon. Not only was it not included in an update, but there is now a NEW version of MobileSheets that costs money, money in which I spent on this app. What a slap in the face.

It has a major bug when renaming a file which crashes my nexus 7 2013. Also, been almost forced to upgrade to the pro version is not on! I have recommended this app many times, and now I feel cheated. Time to look at the alternative's. Think I'm gonna give musicnotes a try!

I've been using Mobilesheets for some time and love it. I recently upgraded to Mobilesheets Pro, and it has some great features. However, I often create new setlists by copying and editing an existing one. I've found that with Mobilesheets Pro, when I copy a setlist, the order of the songs is lost and they have been re-sorted to alphabetical. This is a real problem when I just want to make minor changes from a previous setlist. Note that when I select "sort", manual is chosen. But they have already been reordered alphabetical when copied. Please fix!!

While I'd still recommend this one to students; professional performers may appreciate the Pro version more. I do think it's strange that while this app is paid, Pro is released with all the features we've been waiting for, and costs quite a bit more. Seems like this app should have gotten the upgrade (and a price increase for new users if the author felt it was undervalued). A whole new app to buy seems like an underhanded tactic. Makes me wonder if the author will do it again someday.... 😕

You are doing a great job. Very pracrical for my team of musicians who use lead sheets and play together over a 100 times a year.

I no longer have to carry around 3, 3" binders for all my sheet music

Been promising improvements to the app for very long and then existing users have to pay in full for new app. Doesn't seem honest.

Very comfortable software, of course mostly for musician ;), no print sheets anymore.!

I love this app, and I've been hoping for a few bug fixes. I paid for this, and now there's a different version called "Pro". I am confused. What's the difference? Will this app continue to be developed?

This is verily a splendid application.

Best android

All my sheet music with me all the time, easy to use, Bluetooth pedal works fine without any lagging, putting on new stuff from a computer with a wireless connection is quick and reliable. Once you understand how files are organized and backed up, then even restoring your tablet is quick and easy, if things should go wrong....

It works great other than not being able to zoom in and move the screen over after zooming. Big disappointment!! If this could get fixed then guitar players piano player and singers all would be able to use. But as of right now not usable with a group setting

I haven't explored all the features yet, but so far its great. One feature request I'd make would be an option to manually scroll partial pages in portrait view, so that you could see the bottom of one page and the top of the next simultaneously. Add that and I'd give it 5 stars.

I cannot believe how much this app has helped me practice my instrument more since it solves many of my frustration problems. It does everything I need it to do, and much more. Every time I use it and explore, the better it gets. Thank you so much for helping me increase my love for music, and decrease my frustrations. I am blown away by all the options and capabilities of this app.

Used this for the first time last night. So pleased with it. A few developments would make it perfect for my use. In order of priority.. 1) a quick to use song search within set list (scrolling through a list of 50 sings when the singer calls a change is not easy). 2. Instant zooming like all other apps. 3. Copy set list function, to reuse previous lists and tweak them. All in all a recommended app. Thanks.

A good start! I would really like to see a half-page view option, and a bit better notation. I have a Galaxy Note 10.1, which I truly believe is the best tablet for musicians and teachers, but I cannot notate in Mobile Sheets with my S pen any better than my finger.

I have been playing piano for 36 years, since age 14. I have lugged around alot of song & chart books over the years. I am using MobileSheets on a Galaxy Note Pro 12 with the PageFlip Cicada bluetooth pedal, and it works flawlessly. I have setlists for my Wedding cover band, my cocktail music, and one for my classical repetoire. This app is a dream come true for me. Thank you!

Love this app but am frustrated when I start playing one piece, turn the page and find myself on the second page of the previous song I was using. Not a good thing during performances! Update: That's still happening, and now my annotations are vanishing. Getting very frustrated.

There's a lot to like about this app, but in my personal opinion, there's one glaring omitted feature that makes it very hard to use. When you turn to a new page, you instantly lose the page you're looking at. Huh? That's what it's supposed to do? Well, when you're playing music, you look ahead to the next passage while you're playing the current passage. But when you get to the end of the page with this app, you have two choices. One is to memorize the music at the end of the page, and then turn the page before you're finished with that part of the music. The other is to turn at the end of the page, and very quickly read the music on the next page. I don't like either option. YMMV What I would like is to have an option so that when I hit the pedal, the bottom half of the page goes to the top of the screen, and the top half of the next page goes to the bottom of the screen. The next page turn would then display all of the next page. And a line in the middle of the page would help judge where the split will occur. I bought this app over a year ago, and IIRC, the developer promised to make this sort of mod "soon". But I haven't seen it. If it's there and I just didn't find it, or this mod is added, I'll be glad to change my review to 5 stars.

This is a really great program to use. Up to now I have been playing PDFs on my tablet, squinting at the screen trying to read the tab at a small size. I have been able to quickly import 300 songs, arrange my current practise set into a playlist (the companion PC app helps a lot here). The auto scroll feature works well, as does linking between pages to allow for repeats. It is much easier to read music when in landscape showing a portion of a page, and auto scroll moves it down automatically. Would give it 5 stars if it weren't a bit quirky in how the auto scroll works and if links (jumping within a song for repeats) worked when on the same page in landscape mode. Otherwise wonderful program and I think the new version will sort some of this out

I think it works well for the most part, nice features and customizations in the settings section but large files (around 16-18 MB) lag a bit. I would like to have the feature/option to pop up a keyboard (piano) to play along while reading a score or a song, unless it's already there and I missed it? I remember seeing an iPad app with that precise feature and it worked flawlessly (can't remember the name of it tho). Last viewed page function is definitely NOT working for me, tried several times unsuccessfully, please fix or walk me through a fix?
