Mobilio

Been using the app for a while and when I went to the Mobilio marketplace online I put in what I wanted and went to checkout, it asked to open the Mobilio app to Finnish transaction and no matter how many times I tap the button to do it. The app won't open or the website will tell me I don't have the app installed which is really upsetting to be using a app for months to save up for somthing, just to be told . Ohh sorry this app dosent work or anything so thanks for waisting your time ! 🙂

So far I'm liking the concept of the app. I've never had an issue with wanting to pick my phone up while driving but I figured why not earn crypto while doing something I enjoy which is driving! I've got no complaints yet although I can't figure out how to withdraw the money earned

This app is a total waist of time. It never ever registers any trip done. Contacted customer support followed their advise, uninstalled, reinstalled, all buttons turned on...still no trip registered since 3 months. Very annoying..i am going to uninstall now.

It's a great idea and I'm excited for the upcoming benefit system. However, the trip recognition only works if I manually start the app and leave it open. Then it works pretty well. Otherwise it just drains battery pretty substantially without detecting anything, not even parts of a two hour trip where the phone was resting in a bag the whole time. Would be good to have a manual mode, where no battery is used until a trip is explicitly started.

I'd give no stars if possible. At first the app seems friendly and easy to use. I set all permissions to the proper positions and allowed it to run in the background and over other apps. I took a trip with the app open in my phone. I clicked the prompt to end my trip when I stopped but it never tracked my trip. I've driven two more times since then and it has still not updated. The "Help" section has a lot of information but no real technical help on resolving this issue.

Everything is good. Tracks the trip very good, it detects when you driving, but the only thing bad is that, the screen time on most phones is set to 10 minutes after 10 minutes the phone turns off, and the drive on the app turns off as well. Most of the time, my drive is around 30 minutes, but it only saved 9 to 10 minutes of the trip. Is there a way to fix it?

November 2020 Update: The app used to work perfectly. Connected to my car it let me have calls without losing points, and since I have it installed I haven't take a look at a single message. Definitely got a safer driving-style. The mobilio point value has been plummeting since the first Covid outbreak. As today it is worth less than when the app was launched. But I still believe in it and keep using it. It would be nice to get some news from the Developers or from the system owners.

This is an edit to my previous review. As I use this app more I've found it to be what I call broken, I've just driven 35 miles in rush hour traffic. It gave me 3 points. The reason is that 7 minutes into my journey the app stopped reading my location. No idea why, it also splits a single journey into 5 different journeys each time so you loose a lot of points simply because the app isn't functioning properly, still a great idea but needs a lot of tweaks so that it actually works

06/02/2020 - This is still a great app. To build points to so that I can earn tokens has really challenged me to leave my phone alone. The market place seems to be delayed, however it hasn't deterred me from continuing to build my points. Great app and great concept. I really hope it catches on with mor drivers. Not sure what i can use the tokens for but i love building points. it challenge's me get as many points as possible.

I just installed the app since I recently started driving a lot for my work. I really love the idea to motivate people to leave their phone alone when driving. However, I've driven for approximately 1 and a half hour this morning but Mobilio only recognized 6 minutes of this trip... This really is a key part of the app so this needs to be fixed asap!

Not accurate at all . The App failed to pick up 5 of my 6 journeys. The one it did pick up wasn't even the full journey I carried out. Love the idea of the app but it's failed to live up to its claims. Could do with a start/end journey button instead of it almost never picking it up its self. Would happily give it another go if they improve it, just a shame it's so poor right now. (was used on journeys in the U.K)

The app works fine and registers my trips perfectly but after 2 years, there is still very little to use your points on. Their marketplace offers two relatively useless items and, though they say it's coming, no exchange option is currently available. I will rate it 3 stars for now. Rating will change when more options for spending become available.

The platform is super easy and convenient to use, even for folks just getting into crypto.

Everything is good for now, working for me. The only 2 issues I face is: 1) What will be possible to be done by the Mobilio currency in the future? 2) If you are taking a taxi it still detects it as your ride and gives you points. Maybe implement the system of connecting the app to the car via bluetooth? Then the app will know for sure in which car it is and should it give you points or not.

I will update this in the future if the following gets implemented: 1. Being able to use the currency with other apps like Robin Hood. 2. Reward more if it's day instead of night, driving at 55 instead of 70, weather, etc. 3. Better compatibility. Sometimes it doesn't save when I drive. ☹ 4. Being able to opt out of it collecting data. Yes, the privacy policy does say it will save your info for 3 years even when deleted before then. EDIT this no longer crashes and does save my coins. 👍

Good idea, but with some not so good implementation. The app does not make a difference when I drive or take a public transport. On top of that does not recognize when I call from the phone while driving or I call using the car interface. In both cases it decides that I am distracted while driving.

Nice idea, but I couldn't get it to work. Had it installed for several weeks and couldn't successfully log a trip. I contacted support and was told that my phone isn't providing enough data points to correctly map my trips. They forwarded my issue to their developers, but it was never fixed. Other apps that rely on GPS position work fine on my phone.

Upgraded phone, stopped working. Despite the app being fully updated. As usable to use the points ive collected will just delete. Edited: i did as asked. Reset it and allowed all permissions an still didnt work. I reset password then uninstalled and reinstalled. Then haven't be able to re log back in saying my password is wrong despite me changing it 5 mins earlier. 0 star

Only had this installed for a day and it failed to pick up two of the four trips that I made! Update 21/01/20: still failing to pick up trips. Has missed part of yesterday's trip into work and all of today's trip home from work. Settings on phone are correct. Rating increased to 2** on the basis this is not too regular. ;-)

Idk why all the bad reviews. I've been using mobilio for quite a long time. It's pretty seemless, and kind of fun to earn while driving. It works well and I have no problems earning and exchanging tokens. I just wish you could do more with them. Hopefully one day!

App works most times fine. Sometimes the app thinks I've used my phone, but I didn't. In future to pay with the Mobilio Tokens, will that be able also in The Netherlands? Or only in the US/ other country's? I reslly like the idea for this app, to earn some money, with no driving with your phone and drive saver, for you and the other people on the way.

App "works" (when you open it manually)... It does detect when you are driving but won't register my trips! Did like 5 trips but only registered 1! Plus for some reason servers are always unavailable... Can I even listen to music on Spotify through bluetooth? Make or receive phone calls THROUGH bluetooth also? Use Google maps?! fix this or uninstalling!

the app works really well. It knows when you're driving it knows when you pick up your phone and deduct points based on such. I just don't see how you purchase things or how you get money I understand that this was definitely a concept for the future but there's nothing now in 2019. We should be an exchange amount for like Amazon cards or Best Buy

I never use my phone while driving so to be rewarded for it is great. Im a uk user but cant access the marketplace or buy coins (server error on screen). Very good app with alot of potential to get people not to use their phones while driving.

Stopped working, (I think after phone updated to Android 11), now I can't get it to recognise when I'm driving. I've uninstalled re installed, changed settings, tried everything I can think of. Update: working again now, permissions had been removed

I used this app for a long time, and loved it, but now it doesn't record my trips anymore, I tried, delete data cache, reinstall, log out, log in, nothing works, I have all permissions on and even running in the background. Feb 2021 (Pixel 3 XL)

I've recently found this to help me understand more crypto currencies. But even if this doesn't go to market, in these days when we are absorbed by the "screen", i feel relieved of not looking in my phone while driving. And the reward instead of a punishment idea complements this. Thank you. Great app.

To those who are saying that it is not working with waze thats untrue. It works fine with waze just turn waze on and bring mobilio app up front. To those who complaine about points everything works fine. Its not about you just had two calls but if the calls where long then you get minus points for every minute (For example drive is 20min. You talk on phone 10 min. The points are calculated like so 10points(no phone) -10(calls 10min)=0! Even if drive is 5h take out standstill longer than 2min!

Tracks trips pretty perfectly, hands-free options, like bluetooth phonecalls and steering wheel controls dont effect the points you earn either. When you do touch your phone (when i cucle through my pandora radio) the points deducted arent bad or an excessive amount. I think coming in on mobilio now when its fresh and building it up for when it gets big is a greqt way to invest in your future

Has no idea what's going on. Google voice is apparently a distraction, WhatsApp is a distraction, spotify is a distraction, normal calls are considered a distraction. It's all run through my cars stereo. It means I get 0 points for nearly every drive. Update! They asked me to email them and didnt bother replying!
