The app is a great step in the right direction. However, there are a few hiccups one should be aware of: - internet is required to buy and validate the tickets. In case of control, you should have internet too in order to present the validated ticket. - your phone should have battery during the whole time of your trip. You lose battery, you lose access to tickets and could be fined. There are just too many points of failure. I use this when traveling on the 100E airport bus only. Nothing else.

10X FASTER THAN BUDAPESTGO APP! Non printed tickets shall be discounted as it doesn't need expensive infrastructure and human resources to be maintained with a shop and no printing cost either! 10pc ticket at the discounted peice shall be offered digitally as well! Instead of single ticket per direction and per service, only time based tickets shall be sold at a cheper price (as it's in Canada), not only 30min long but realistic 2-3h long tickets for better prices. And it must work offline too!

Now that single and time-based tickets have been added, this is the perfect app for public transport in Budapest 👌

Not perfect, registration process and first purchase is a bit long, but after that it works well. I don't understand why I have to authenticate on every launch, though, things would be much easier without it. (I imagine all my problems are caused by the weirdly overcomplicated Hungarian legal system. 🤷‍♂️) All in all it's much better than the old paper passes and the often broken vending machines.

Cannot buy single tickets. Other options are expensive, unless it's a monthly pass. For a traveler who visits the city briefly, that's useless. Otherwise the app seems to function well, though the process of filling in all personal and payment details is long and tedious (luckily it only needs to be done once).

It takes more effort than its worth. BKV's attempt to modernise their services failed as with this app the ticket check takes more time than before. First you need to remember a PIN which you need to enter everytime. A screen appears which shows the validity of the ticket. I would thought this is enough for the controllers. But no, you need to scan a QR code at the entrance which shows VALID or NOT VALID in a bright colour. If you dont scan this, the controllers will stop you. Time-consuming!!!

No registration without a Hungarian mobile number... Wasted time.

Not great experience at all. Lots of times it crashes upon opening the app. It's very slow to show the animation after scanning the QR code. Let's hope Budapest GO will be better!

AN UNSAFE WAY TO BUY TICKETS! Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. With perfect mobile data the transaction freezes and you can't use your ticket. I also got a fine from the bus company because of this! The customer service doesn't help at all. Unpredictable and a useless app. Don't use it.

Payment flow is ridiculous. After filling in all fields to finally pay for a pass I received the confirmation code in text message, after returning to the app to type the code in I found the entry screen. All the fields are unsaved, so when giving it a second try, need to type again. I gave up. The need for scanning a monthly pass doesn't sound logical to me either.

I get what the app is trying to do, online is a better way to make sure everyone has a valid pass, but scanning the QR code is making it impossible to use it at rush hour when hundreds of people pass by.Wouldn't it be easier if we purchase a pass that is going to stay valid,and we just show that with the animation without constantly scanning?And when the pass expires it just show in red that it has expired or even just delete automatically,thus preventing people to reuse it.Great potential tho

The idea of this app is just great!!! But it would be also much much better if the single ride tickets were considered. One can buy 20 single ride tickets and use them one at the time. For the people not using commonly the public transport that would be just perfect!!!!

The idea is great but needs improvement but first is I could not find single ticket , idk you haven't put it or it is problem with my phone..another issue is when you visit back to purchase it always download , I m sure there are better ways to do it. Everytime that loading appears isn't User friendly. If you fix it and have single ticket I'll definitely use from next month.

Good start, but could be improved. Had no problem using it for over a month now (Android 9.0), but as mentioned before the qr code scanning is a bit clumsy, and auto validation is not working.

This app is the absolute worst app I have ever used. Get a white screen on payment, I have to reenter my card ID on a purchase, etc. Tried three times, same result, I now have to wait in line to get a paper pass. I would fire every developer and tester who worked on this.

Sometimes it works, but I dont understand why we cannot just copy for example the public transport system of London...there is a card or u can use your mobile too. And if a controller coming u should just show her/him the card or qr code on mobile and they scan it...come on be a part of the future...we dont like scanning everything, it is slow and annoying

The app has a useless function. When your lease expire it can send you a push notification to warn you if you are not logged out. It's not working at all. So if you board a bkk vehicle and the inspector checks the tickets the app notify you when you open the app.

Unable to buy tickets, because, as it seems, the app cancels the transaction while I navigate to another app, which I must do in order to pay with a credit card. Completely unusable in this state.

Good initiative, terrible implementation, QR code scanning all the time. Bought my first (and last) monthly pass 3 days ago, I already regret it. QR code scanning is needed before EACH boarding to metro and buses with front-door boarding policy. Loading the validating animation after scanning is way too SLOW, hinders front-door bording and needs active internet connection, which is kind of funny at several metro stations where there is no mobile internet coverage.

A very helpful app. Surprisingly, you can't buy Single Ticket for Budapest! The only single ticket available for it is the Airport Shuttle, whuch I believe many hardly use it. Please look into this.

This app is very poorly designed. The scanner doesn't work on most buses/metro stations & why is this extra step even necessary!? I want an app on my phone with a valid ticket/pass without the extra nuisance. You can't buy single tickets on the app! Why!!!??? Please employ competent developers,BKK.

Maybe it is still under development, but I did not find my town (Dorog) and the bus stop in Budapest. Link to the app was also not available on the Volan website. I am looking forward to trying it once it is available.

Useless. Forget about this app and buy the paper ticket/pass. Way too much of a hassle to use this on a daily basis, this whole concept needs to be redesigned. You only need to look around in other major European cities...

Today as i tried to buy a ticket i found that it logged me out. The funny thing is that i have forgotten my username and probably encountered a bug. Why there is no option to log in with email address or phone number? Or even a tab for forgotten username? Why there is no validation of email addres to know the account is mine where i gona reset the password? Or an option for sending the pin to phone number? These additions would make this application better and easier to use.

Double deduction every single time, so the core feature is not working properly. Plus why do we have to scan on top of purchasing the ticket? Useless garbage, the worst transport app I tried in Europe.

Don't waste your time with downloading this, rather download Voxpay, it works like a charm. After you register, select your ticket, proceed to purchase, enter your bank card details and approve, nothing happens. Ticket not purchased, however, the money is not taken from your account either. This does not even look like a beta version.

Good idea but if it work without internet connection it would be perfect, qr code scanner is a bit slow also.. Hope next version will solve those issues.
