Sound emulation sounds great! The stereo sounds very nice for systems that have mono APUs. Famicom VRC6 sounds a bit too loud, and volume mixing and stereo panning customization for the different audio channels would be great features to have. Otherwise this program works very well and sounds great and i have a great time using it.
Good for .nsf files, but randomly decides to skip files when playing .spc files. This happens both when playing files in a directory and when playing a playlist. So I am having to hunt for another player.
Was Great but these days it's a bit buggy, playlists deleting themselves and very difficult to stop it running in the background. Really needs to be updated as its not been since 2016.
I've been using this app for playing video game music files on my phone for YEARS and have yet to find anything that comes close on Android. Many thanks to the dev(s). I only wish it played more file formats like .psf and so on for that generation of video game music. Still, it's my go-to app for playing video game music on mobile.
AWESOME APP!! It's great for when I'm looking for an album-type experience from my chip tunes. 4 stars for no .M3U support & limited playlist creation. If that changes then it's definately a 5 star! A++
This is great! And since I last used you guys still supported Android 2.3.5! Which is amazing, installed on my old phone right away!
Dev contacts don't work. Asking for Adlib Tracker 2 support. It's open source so shouldn't be too hard to add.
Very good app but impossible to find my external SD card in the explorer...
finally, I just wanted to play my .nsf file, and this does the job
Best MOD player on the Play Store.
The best VGM player I've ever used.
usely very super
top apps thanks
Decent player. What I think is missing is either a widget or the ability to expose song name, etc via notifications API to enable other generic widgets to pick it up and handle. Also it contains outdated libraries for handling SID/SAP formats or the implementation is somehow flawed (it does not apply filters correctly sometimes etc)
I tried updating another VGM player but it completely messed up my phone. This one actually seems a LOT better volume and quality wise, especially with NSF files. Would love even more if BRSTRM format became supported!
It gets the job done, I can play SPCs with ease, though it needs improvements on the UI, like a more user-friendly song data box and a more clear button to pick a file. There are some annoyances with the app: when paused the prev./next. buttons aren't available (they are on the status bar), the next is that a list with the songs within a folder, RSN, etc. is missing, it would ease navigation. I'll suggest more as the dev improves these aspects because character limit.
Easy to use and works well. Would loved it if there was an option to select all the files in a folder when adding songs to a playlist. Are there any plans to add other formats? I was attempting to add all the main entry Mega man games into a list but found out it doesn't play PSF files (PlayStation) nor does it play MP3 files which are the only options for music from newer systems. Great program either way, but these extra features would make it perfect.
I used to set my phone on my wife's stomach when she was pregnant with our son and play the overworld song from Final Fantasy V for him. He would go nuts for it. Once he finally busted out of that joint, escaping the confines of his mother's uterus, i would have to play it for him just so he'd sleep. Now, three years later, he still loves that song, along with other 8/16bit tunes from the days of old. It has, of course, driven his mother nuts... but i can live with that. Thank you, Modo, for allowing me to pass the torch down, from father to son, and for finally allowing me to convince my wife that she needs crazy meds. An idea for future updates... lets set these tunes for ringtones.
It is among the top chiptune player in the Play Store! It would be even better if there's an option to adjust the volumes on each channel. The BIGGEST letdown is that it is difficult to close the app from running in the background draining resources. The only way to close it is to kill the app process from the Android app settings. An exit button would be highly appreciated.
When I downloaded this before your last update, i couldn't pause or control what songs I could play. I gave you a two before. Now its much better. I knew I'd love it if I just waited for the fix. Thank you.
A Problem with playlists. I changed my device. Although the files are in the same folders on the SD card, the path to SD card is different. Impossible to export playlists to file, edit the file and import to the new device. The player design and sound quality is still the best.
