MoDOT Traveler Information

When trying to view the traffic cameras, I can only get it to load the live feed once, but when I try to look at a different camera it will say, "Can't play this video." Then afterwards when I toggle the camera option off, then back on, it won't even let my tap on the camera icon. I would have to completely close the app and reload back onto it. Not sure if it is my device, or the app. Could be both. I'm not sure. But overall very useful!

The new update is terrible, it must have been designed by a Modot engineer. At start up you now have to go to menu and turn on what you want to see on the map. And ever since the update when clicking on a camera icon, the popup window almost never works. You have to close the app and start it up sometimes several times before it will work. I've tried syncing it which works once in a while, but not too often. It's not a camera issue, because they can be opened on a web browser just fine BAD APP

Glitchy in every way that you can think of. The traffic cameras work and then they don't. You have to close and reopen the app. Sometimes it helps, but not always. At one point it was showing the entirety of North Kansas City was FLOODED. In January. It wasn't flooded. Everything was fine. The old app wasn't this bad. But what do you expect? It's MoDot.

Update: need to be able to remove all the icons (layer option?) It blocks seeing the roads highways etc, also having to keep switching back options to traffic and weather....why won't it just stay at those settings!!!!Good app, driving from southern CA during winter shows weather, Google maps sent me thru Colorado into dangerous blizzard when I could have taken southern route better than Caltrans app!

Nice but loads of room for improvement. I can't open any camera at all now and there isn't any update available. It's nice to have when traveling and see traffic up ahead, look for construction areas, read a sign that was missed...or watch for when expected visitor is in the area at appointed time. Ha ha! Also keeps my kid entertained, waiting to see our car pass through.

If I wanted to download an app, I would. The fact that you force us to use the app is wrong. No live cameras anywhere on your website or your app. Can't even tell if it is accurate because it says the roads are fine when we got snow and ice on the ground overnight. Thanks for the waste of time!

I was forced to get the app because the website refuses to play with phones. I got it on a wintry travel day, and the map did not show wintry conditions; it installs with the ONLY useful function toggled off. And finding the settings wasn't easy. You'd think the modot website would work for travellers. Your tax cuts at work.

After latest update the traffic cameras no longer work nor do messages showing slowed traffic, etc. It basically is a useless app now. I emailed about the horrific changes to the app and how none of the functions work and received no response. Uninstaller for a few months and reinstalled last week, cameras worked for a few hrs then back to nothing. Get it it together Modot your app is as good as ours roads.

Can no longer view camera feeds. Can only see a portion of messages about delays or road work. App no longer saves my preferred settings. I have to reset EVERY time! Please change it back to the previous version that actually worked!

This was a good app until the last update. You can no longer view what is on the traffic cameras nor can you read the entire message on the message boards. Please reinstate those features, otherwise there is no reason to have/ use this app.

Complete waste of time. The only thing it shows is road construction. When I try to get the winter road conditions it tells me to download the Google app for Android. That's the app that I have downloaded. Going to uninstall as soon as I post this review

The current version doesn't start with the cameras activated and when I turn them on in the settings the camera icons show up but when you click on one there is no live video. Are they not working or is it an app issue?

Useless. The traffic cams will work as soon as you download the app but then quit. You have to reinstall it to get it to work. Uninstalling and not reinstalling, this app is useless!!!

Cameras do not work at all. Not once. Uninstalled then reinstalled, no change. Cycled phone power a few times, no change. I don't know why I expected anything from MoDOT to work.

Worked great until the last update. Now it says can't sync data....call modot. What's the point of having the map if I can't see the road conditions?

The road camera option is great when it works. I like to see road conditions before I head out, but the camera option crashes often while using the app.

This is not helpful for weather related conditions at all. I guess if I wanted a road work map it would help, but I want the road conditions in winter. Useless!

Overlays weather radar and can't see the actual road conditions. No way to make the overlays transparent. Pretty much makes it useless for winter road conditions

Download an app to get info that every other state has on website is just stupid. Have to Download look at conditions then delete is extra data and time I won't get back. Useless

I am annoyed that I am forced to download this app in order to view road conditions. If Google can show me the entire Earth on my phone, I'm pretty sure the state of Missouri can show me a map of driving conditions on my screen.

Called MoDot twice to report flooded and closed roads. The gentleman confirmed they were roads they are responsible for ... they never updated the map. It's no good if they won't update. We are new to Missouri and was hoping to find a reliable ap during rain/flood/snow, etc. Bummed

I want to add this to my desktop and I can't have to open each time in play store. I want an app to add to my phone screen

It's helpful but I like to actually see what the roads look like before I use them and i only got to view the traffic cameras for a little bit then I couldn't anymore.

The other review is missing the point of the app. This app shows Missouri DOT information. Road closures construction work snow cover and flooding. If you want directions or travel times go to Google if you want to know if the road is covered in water or snow come here.

Not all traffic cameras work. I have brought this up to developers and after several months, still has the same issues. I would say don't download this app, but it's all modot has to offer.
